Under new management.  Really friendly hosts, a great choice of ales, a gin bar, limited menu, but really nice food. Very clean. Great views over tbe Cam Valley. A great pub. Thank you to the new team for all your hard work.

Great Pub

A very comfortable room with all that was needed. Hairdryer, soft white towels, white cotton bed linen, bathroom toiletries, T.V. tea/coffee. A good nights sleep. Two members of staff we met were lovely and made us welcome. Food good. Breakfast was very good. Free parking available. On bus route. Chose the PoW as it was near to a business venue. But could consider a bus trip into Bath to avoid Bath queues and parking fees. Lovely view from the rear patio over countryside.

A nice visit

On the phone the owners sound rather aggressive but once there its all so different.
Welcoming. My room was a large twin the bathroom which also was large.
Everything you could want wad there. Food i could not fault with large portions.
Only fault was they don't open or accept residents until 6pm.
The Bath area is a very expensive and the rates at this B&B are slightly lower

Two day visit

Lovely countryside view from the small terrace. Staff polite, but looked bereft. Perhaps they had attempted to eat the veg curry. What it lacked in flavour it made up for in size, so if you like a hard slog of a meal, go for it. The owner may mean well. Perhaps someone told him that size is all that matters.

The lasagne looked quite nice but was a real let-down,lacking in flavour. The salad garnish was tired and garlic bread was almost as dry as the Kalahari. Room for improvement, you might say.

Underwhelming

Lovely traditional looking pub with a large car park.  Gary and Kingsley were very friendly and as the bar is not open Monday evenings we were recommended to visit an Italian restaurant in Radstock.  This was a splendid choice, though if the excellent cooked breakfast is anything to go by, eating at the Prince of Wales should not be missed! Our room was very comfortable with a newly-fitted shower-room and everything else you could want. We would definitely return if in the area.

one night stay

We had chosen the Prince of Wales as our accommodation for three days to explore Bath and the area. The rooms are not very large, but they are perfectly sufficient. The English breakfast is rich and provides a good basis for the day. The station to Bath is right outside the door.

Good rooms and a rich breakfast

Nice and efficient staff. WIFI connection in discreet room. Great dinner (English menu) and nice restaurant and very good breakfast. Tiny but clean rooms, large enough bathroom even though a little dated, the tent in the tub (to shower) was still new and very clean. Quiet location, outside Bath. Overall, however, a bit expensive.
