Very well organised place with charming period features throughout. Easy to reach twin centre and very affordable for a night’s stay too. Only issue we had was the fact the owner forgot to turn the switch on for the shower water, resulting in delayed hot water. Maybe could do with a reminder?

Very clearly organised

Very comfortable stay - it was ideal for my needs, room was very clean and had everything I needed (and more). Bed was very comfortable.

Very enjoyable 3 night stay. Incredibly comfortable king size bed, good hanging space for clothes, iron on request, and lovely shower. We didn't have breakfast but would imagine if it's on par with the hotel and service, you won't be disappointed 

3 night stay

I had a lovely stay at Cranston House, I was staying in East Grinstead whilst on a university placement and it was lovely coming back to this cosy BnB every evening. The mini fridge and hospitality tray inc. kettle in the room was much appreciated, the bed was very comfortable and everything was nicely presented and so clean. Highly recommend staying here, very very good value for money!

Cosy BnB with lots of facilities

Brian is a very hospitable and experienced host. The House is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. My attic room was cozy, well provisioned and comfortable. The traditional English breakfast was a delight. I plan to return and have already recommended the House to others.

The high ranking is well deserved

We stayed at Cranston for 1 night due to an appointment at the nearby hospital. Brian the host was friendly and helpful and we stayed right at the top in room 7. The room was spacious and had tea/coffee and biscuits and a hairdryer. 
Yes the decor is a little dated but to me it was irrelevant because the place was so spotlessly clean. No dust on skirting boards, or bits in between the joins on the stairs, sparkling shower screens kind of clean. 
The bed and the pillows were comfortable enough. The only downside was the neighbour next to us paced up and down his room until past midnight and started again when he woke at 3.45. Because it’s an old house (but beautiful) the floorboards did bang everytime he turned in the room and it was like he was walking in our room. However none of this was through the fault of the host and wasn’t really resolvable. 

The breakfast was extra at £10 per person. It was really lovely but whether you had 2 boiled eggs and 1 slice of bread or a full English, it was the same price. 
We would stay at Cranston again. It reminded me of holiday with my parents when I was child and we used to stay in lovely BnB’s. It was value for money and really close to the town and hospital.

Lovely BnB

Attractively-priced, delightful B&B. Very clean and comfortable. Spacious, well-equipped bedrooms. Hosts are very welcoming and helpful but unobtrusive. Excellent breakfasts with a good choice. A very enjoyable stay. Close to town centre, quiet location, not far from the countryside and local attractions. Perfect in every way.

Five-star Sussex Gem

Located very near to to the centre of town, Cranston House was ideal for our needs. It is situated in a quiet street. We received a warm welcome, and our room was comfortable and clean, and met our needs. The decor is a little dated, but don't let that put you off. 

Weekend stay

We recently enjoyed two nights at Cranston House, and found the accommodation to be clean, well presented and ideally situated for access into East Grinstead. The owner, Brian, was very friendly to deal with. We would highly recommend Cranston House to anyone looking for accommodation in this area.

Very nice B&B

The place was spotless.  The room wanted for nothing.  We had plenty of chairs, ample cupboard and wardrobe space, a super TV, a clock radio, windows that opened, hairdryer, even a game of dominoes in one of the drawers.  There was a hospitality tray complete with biscuits, a fridge in the room with a very fairly priced mini-bar offering still and mineral water.  The Hitachi TV picture and sound was top notch.  The bathroom was exceptionally spacey with plenty of places to put toilet bags.  The shower was in the bath and the shower head could be placed in a lower alternative spot which would be good if showering small children.  Situated in a quiet street, the walk into town took about 7 minutes and involved walking around a picturesque lake and over a footbridge.  There is ample parking in the drive.  At the end of our stay, we received our bill with everything clearly itemised.  It was comfortable and clean and run by a couple who just knew what a perfect guest house should be and definitely delivered it.
