Very chilled hotel, nice and clean, friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble for them.Room was lovely and spacious with spectacular sea views. 
Definitely stay here next time we in Eastbourne.

Lovely stay

Would not stay at this hotel again it’s due to close for 6months on Friday that’s the good news
We were staying my sister in law in 1 room and my husband and my self in another 
My sister in law had to have a room changed as when she was unpacking she found a half eaten  kebab in a draw that had been supposedly cleaned, her next room had a dirty towel at bottom of wardrobe.  Our room was a upgrade which had dirty towels, coffee machine with know pods. 
The Ladies toilets had a small piece of soap and kitchen roll laying on the side. Door handles all over hotel  stick  not seem a cleaner around the hotel the whole time we were there. 
You couldn’t get 2 receptionist so different
When we put a complaint in at reception the elderly lady was just matter of fact about it as if it was the norm. The other receptionist I think her name Kate was just the opposite very pleasant and so helpful nothing was to much
If your hotel is closing and your going to run it down have paying guests staying and charging for a upgrade that was anything but a upgrade

Majestic Eastbourne terrible

Booked two rooms. One sea view for my elderly mums birthday with my dad. The other, just a double for myself and my wife with my assistance dog. Obviously we were not charged for my assistance dog, however when I booked, no one knew that Guide/Assistance dogs by law do not have to pay under the equality act 2010. It was sorted out and the money refunded. There were a few dogs in the hotel, however I believe there should be a rule that ALL dogs should be on a lead at ALL times. Mine obviously was as i required her at all time on a lead.

My parents room was OK for their needs. Very basic, but lots of people watching and looking across the sea. My mum was happy which is the most important thing.

Not may other guests, which was quite nice for us. Breakfast, brilliant, no problems. Evening meal, not a lot of choice, but we all found something we liked and it was very nice.

The two young people serving us tea/coffee and clearing our table were brilliant, The lady in charge (sorry, did not get their name, but they were working on the three days we were there) was very good and professional at all time, thank you.

There was only a family of four staying at the same time as us for bed/breakfast/evening meal. They did seem to complain about everything. I did have to advice them that it is a TWO star hotel, NOT a FIVE star, which I thought they were expecting. You get what you pay for. We knew this before we booked. However, the food was good, all the restaurant staff were brilliant. It was not their fault the lift had broken down, or bins had not been emptied, beds not made etc etc. I think they will try and get some kind of refund. One of them even come over to our table to see what we were eating to make sure we were not being treated better than them ! Which I thought was rather rude !

Anyway, we had a brilliant time, you make the most of what you get. We certainly did and had a wonderful three days/nights away. If we had paid more, and it was advertised as a FIVE star hotel, my review would have not been the same. A nice cheap and cheerful time was had by myself, my wife, and my parents. 

I could moan about loads of things, but not to the poor sods who were serving food. That is what the manager is fort !

I understand that this hotel is being closed down next week, and sold off. I hope they offer the catering staff their jobs back as they were brilliant.

Good TWO star hotel, You get what you pay for. Don't expect a FIVE star hotel at TWO star prices !

Comfy bed, cheap price, warm room, very satisfied customer. I have to say that the barman in the evening was so friendly kind and an asset to your organisation. The man on reception was great - sorry I didn't catch his name. For 24 pounds there is no complaints I had a lovely stay. For the gentleman on reception,  i am the person that said i would leave a Trip Advisor review.

The staff can’t do enough for you. They are so friendly and helpful. The hotel is old but was clean and tidy. Greet access to the beach. The room we were in had a beautiful sea view. I made a seagull frond outside our window!’

Lovely staff

Myself and my Wife decided to book a 2 night break over the bank holiday weekend.  On arrival at the Hotel all looked good and the Lady that checked us in was very efficient and friendly but I am afraid that is where the positives ended.  We were given our rook key and after trailing through a maze of corridors found it.  The carpets in the corridors are older than me I reckon and I'm nearly 60 and they were worn and stunk of urine.

Anyway on entering the room we could not believe what we saw the smallest hotel room you could imagine.  It was filthy, the shower and sink had not been cleaned for a long time and the wood from the window frame was flaking off and bits all over the carpet.

I immediately reported this to the Manager who attended the room and agreed the room had not been cleaned for months and instantly changed our room to another but this 1 was not a lot better and filthy not to mention the stale smell form the very old and not clean carpets.  We did not even unpack we sat talking for 20 minutes as to what to do and decided we just could not stay at this so called hotel.  When we checked out the Manager said he understood our reasons but assured us there were better rooms in the hotel although they were all taken.

This hotel needs a complete make over or simply to be shut down.  We wasted our money as no money was returnable.  My advise is not to book this it really is disgusting and the décor is so out of date

It is what it is. A somewhat dated hotel, but in a great position.
Used it as a base for the weekend. No real problems, but overall a rather bland experience. Restaurant staff were totally heroic, given the fact that they were seriously understaffed.  Help yourself buffet style breakfast was quite surreal at times.
with all the dishes empty for long periods.  But would return.

Airbourne Air Show Weekend

Room was small, with an equally small shower, however the weather was so good that we were only there to sleep. 

There was a lack of plug sockets so we weren’t able to charge both phones at once. 

Fortunately we didn’t have any valuables with us as the door lock wasn’t the best, in fact I was able to open the door with my credit card!!! 

The bed reminded me of something you would find at your great aunt’s house. I believe it was bought prior to decimalisation we felt lucky to have survived the night without being injured by one of the various springs that dug into both our bodies, and we are not slim people….

My advice, bring a mattress protector with you and ear plugs …. Seagulls

Terrible bed

Visited majestic hotel Monday 18th July for 4 nights with caledonian travel
Hotel dated but clean sea view room which I requested was a decent size clean and comfortable room very warm due to exsteme weather I went to reception and asked a very polite and cheerful lady if I could hire a fan which she replied  no but I can loan you one (Thankyou I didn't get your name sorry) ) i
 have to stress that all members of staff
That myself and my husband met were not only polite but very cheerful and professional at all time ( note to managers they need pay rise) food was very good and varied smallish portions but three courses so that's how it should be. Overall lovely week Thankyou all Eastbourne lovely

Hotel is dated upstairs and no air conditioning in the rooms. We went to a do in Eastbourne and came back probably 1am ish . Asked the receptionist for a pint of iced water. To the answer was “ no we dont have water or ice “ I was in so much shock we went up to our boiling hot / uncomfortable room with no way to cool down , i generally couldn’t believe a hotel in a seaside location couldn’t provide water . 

The UK is going through a heat wave yet thus hotel cant give you a chilled room or water 

Avoid staying here its over priced and appalling service.
