The worst of the worst hotel ever! If you want third world country service, terrible food and awful service,come here. The owner couldn't care less and all he does is say how beautiful the octogenarian women.  Employees don't care about your questions or needs.

You don't get what you pay for!

Hi. Does anyone know if this hotel or its two sister hotels are still open? I made a booking in covid but I couldn’t use it, I want to make a booking it have my money back. I cannot get hold of anyone from all three hotels.

A friend and I put on a line dance weekend for our dancers every year The Mansion Lions Hotel in Eastbourne. Obviously due to covid, it didn't happen in 2020.
The problem is, we still haven't had a penny of the money back, which is not our money, it's the dancers money. They admitted they took the money and spent it, and didn't have it to give back, and we were top of list to receive it back, when bookings at their hotels and weddings etc came in.
We have emailed, phoned everything apart from a solicitor.
They have literally stolen pensioners money, and don't care. The manager 'Manas' will not even reply to an email. 
What ever you do, don't book with them.
Are there any solicitors on here that can give me some free advice?
Really stuck trying to get these people their money back. As if they haven't had enough of a rough time with covid, they have now been robbed blind of their pension money by Mansion Lions and Albany Lions Hotel.

This Hotel has stolen £6000 of pensioners money

Stayed here a couple of year ago. The room i got look
ed like it should be rented by the hour, if you get my meaning. Avoid at all cost. Although the food and view was good. Eastbourne is my best location. Lots to do. Plenty of alternative hotels to choose from.

Reviews I had read made me question our visit but they couldn't have been more wrong.  Yes the hotel may seem a bit dated but it is full of beautiful features which updating could spoil them.  We were lucky enough to have a sea view room which was stunning.  The whole atmosphere of the hotel was amazing.  Our room was super warm, very clean and the bathroom had a bath/shower with plenty hot water all the time.  The staff were lovely and extremely helpful and polite.  We included breakfast which had plenty of choice and the full English was excellent.

Few days break

Awful hotel..served breakfast with a big clump of hair on my egg. When i complained the waiter picked the hair off with his fingers, i told him to take it away and he apologised saying we are always telling the chef to wear a hair net but he doesn't listen..

Short stay

Poor Hotel limited menu small portions for breakfast no Festive Feel no Disabled access heating turned off during the day 

There was a group of disabled people staying who were treated by the Entertainer on the last night of the stay in a most disgusting manner

Brian Pollard internatonal keyboard entertainer should be ashamed of himself and barred from hotels who accept disabled groups

Tinsel and Turkey stay

What an horrible 'hotel'.

No disabled access, 1 sausage 1 bacon rasher 1 egg allowed for breakfast along with about 20 baked beans and 5 mushrooms.

Staff to their credit are by and large polite and understanding.

Rooms are awful, ripped carpets, windows that have not seen a shammy in 20 years, paint work peeling off.

I understand the hotel is in the process of being sold but that is no excuse for such low standards.

Make sure you are not hungry as no bar snacks available.

To top this off the last night of the trip the 'entertainer' told people with Learning disabilities to stop dancing by his keyboard and go sit down, these guys have had a great time dancing every night with no complaints, obviously this caused an uproar and we all left to go back to our rooms.

Stay at this hotel by all means but please acknowledge the poor reviews.

Only plus is the location and parking.

Shocking

Budget hotel. Run down. Bad food. In need of a biiig renovation. The breakfast consists of 1 egg 1 slice of bacon 1 sausage 1 hashbrown and 1 tomato. I went for a second egg and slice of bacon. Did get it but staff told me it's normally 1 full English breakfast per person. Especially staff in the dining room makes you feel unwelcome. The bar ran out of beer the second day we were there. If you book here make sure you have places to go and only go to the hotel to sleep. Nothing else. 

You get what you pay for 

Before you assess this hotel one must remember that most people are staying around £50 per night for dinner, bed and breakfast. Many will come in groups and of course they are generally not in the first flush of youth.

From taking these into consideration  things will look so much more positive. Our room was relatively big, clean and a bathroom with piles of hot water. The staff were really friendly and positive. A big mention for Steve in the bar who kept everyone happy. 

It is not a Michelin starred restaurant but the dinners were adequate and the breakfast better than many I have stayed in in so called luxury hotels.

Lovely location on the seafront near the Pier. 

In summary for its class a perfectly acceptable hotel
