It was great staying there. The room I had was great. Unfortunately the hotel burn't down and I lost some of my baggage. They were nice to put me into another hotel for the duration. I did enjoy the dining area as it was a quaint victorian setup.

Great until the Fire

Always and forever will be the star hotel in my eyes.
It had a great view of the pier and beach being located right opposite the pier.
Basically a hotel that no one can miss.
Hopefully they can return it to its former glory asap.

Star of Eastbourne

I am disgusted to have read the pathetic reviews being posted after such a devastating and catastrophic loss of a grand heritage building.The fire was a major incident where everyone involved on this disastrous morning have been severely affected.Guests traumatised, staff out of work upon Christmas time.Thanks to the continued dedication of the Claremont staff,everyone was helped and supported calmly to evacuate their loyal guests safely and prioritise their safety and well being.We have been regular guests over the years at this hotel and were absolutely heartbroken when the news broke.How ANYONE could leave such idioctic comments and such disrespectful words at a time of trauma absolutely fails me.May I suggest that people THINK before they post reviews, so as not to inflict their inadequacies on genuine people who care and have to read their tripe.I understand Eastbourne herald have a donation page called Just Give to raise money to help the many people affected.We have donated to this cause and it would be nice to think others will too. Rant over, But felt strongly enough to support the excellent Manager and staff of the Claremont Eastbourne at such an emotional time for them all.

very good, the food was excellent. the accommodation was pretty good, and the location of the hotel was excellent.on the whole i was very impressed and i will go again next year.thank you to the staff you were brilliant.

xmas review

Lovely friendly hotel and staff. food was great although the dessert portions were very small. Room was quite cold and looked a little tired. Bathroom was nice but disappointed with the windows, they needed proper curtains or blinds not a plastic film covering them, it hasn’t put us off, you get what you pay for. 

Eastbourne

Had 5 lovely days in this hotel. Hotel straight by the Pier and easy to get to the shops. Managed to go to Brighton and Worthing and bus stops outside the hotel, staff must heloful and had a great break 

Super hotel in great lication

The weather was awful but hotel warm and staff more than made up for it.  Very well positioned on the front and close to the bus stops and shops.  Will definitely be going there again. Food good and service was excellent. 

Lovely hotel and staff

I stayed with my wife and disabled daughter for five days on a self drive holiday,returning after many previous stays.  The hotel is in a prime position on the sea front close to all the amenities Eastbourne has to offer.  As always the staff were welcoming and very helpful, often putting themselves out to help our daughter.  Food was good and plentiful and everywhere very clean.  Entertainment was varied and bar prices competitive.  A truly value for money holiday hence the five star rating..   The hotel has 4 wet rooms suitable for most disabilities and the ability to hire buggies from the hotel is a real bonus..  We had a very enjoyable stay and will return in the future.  . 

Great value for money

Staff all very helpful and friendly food very good entertainment could have had a more variety but all very good would recommend hope to go again lovely resort buses easy to catch just outside hotel  to local places 

Lovely holiday

it was a very good hotel with good food comfortable rooms very friendly with plenty going on day and night would come again it helped that the weather was good recommed as good place to stay missing it already
