Excellent hotel. Great location in New Town near Waverly Train Station and near the heart of Princes Street.  Check in was easy. I did see that luggage storage pre-check in was available, but we did not need it.  Lifts were a welcome change from our previous hotel where none were available.  Although many reviews mention rooms that are too small, ours was perfect. We paid a little more for a larger room and it was well worth the additional cost. The shower was excellent (which was abnormal for most Edinburgh locations at this price point).  The optional £6 continental breakfast was good as well.  There were plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby on Rose Street, which is a pedestrian only street in the area of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again for longer than the two days we stayed.

Great little hotel with excellent location

Myself and my partner stayed at Hub by Premier Inn for one night whilst visiting Edinburgh and for a city escape it was ideal. For location, cleanliness and friendliness we couldn’t fault it. Everything was walkable from the hotel and we were just around the corner from Princes Street. The rooms, albeit small, are just what you need if you don’t plan to stay in the hotel for very long and are keen to be out and about exploring. They offer free teas and coffees downstairs in the bar to guests which is a nice touch. The rooms are modern and fresh and you are able to order breakfast, lunch and dinner downstairs in the Lounge. We chose this hotel due to its price, so if you’re looking for somewhere to stay on a budget this may just be the place for you! 

Our stay at Hub Rose Street, just what we needed

The hub rose street provided a secure and very comfortable bed for the night after a friends reunion in Edinburgh. Location was very central with reasonable price and good value continental breakfast. Would certainly use in the future.

Great staff, great location, accomodation, breakfast.  Would recommend to anyone to stay here, I will be back.

Bliss in Edinburgh

There was NO WINDOW in our room. Be careful with that, the feeling is claustrophobic. The location IS good and the staff is nice. 

NO WINDOWS IN THE ROOM

Ideal location for visiting the city. Plenty of shops, restaurants and bars nearby. We would definitely choose to stay there again.

Edinburgh visit

The hotel itself is in a great location, but the room I was assigned (401) has a loud, non-stop buzzing sounds like a very loud old industrial fridge. It could be the air conditioning system but is was still going with the AC unit off. Also, there was a constant water noise from time to time and a high-pitched sound. It was the only available room for 1 person so I had to stay there. I didn't have a restful night. Also, there is no receptionist. It is a self-serving hotel. You can call someone but they don't show up right away. If not for the noise, it would be an okay cost/value option, but giving 3 starts instead of 0 due to prime location.

Just what you need

Excellent location, close to public transport, lots of restaurants, shops and attractions nearby, The rooms are on the small side, perfect for me as a solo traveller. I had a great room with a view of Edinburgh Castle! Would definitely come again. Rooms are clean, bed comfy and it was quiet.

Great hotel for solo travellers

The Hub is very accessible especially if you're using public transport. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The room is clean and comfy.
