The classy design and colors are amazing, very comfortable, good location, amazing staff !

Comfy and classy !

Hotel very well located, very friendly and pleasant staff. Nice room, a little small to my liking, a TV to watch because not very comfortable. We stayed there for a week, at breakfast we were offered omelettes, personalised to little care. The big positive points the impeccable location of the hotel 2 minutes walk from Istiklal Street and the professionalism of the staff really excellent, which would have to review the bed and carpet in the rather old rooms

Travel in November 2015

Rooms facing street have a nice view, either of the beautiful SoHo House across the street or, on higher levels, the Golden Horn and Fatih skyline. Rooms facing the rear, are small and mostly have a dull brick wall right outside the window.
Bathrooms are good as is general cleanliness. But the cleaning people spray the rooms with a horrible wunderbaum scent that could probably wipe out a beehive.
My TV didn't work, but I'm not big on TV, so it didn't really matter to me.
The staff try their best to be helpful, which almost gets annoying. Opening the elevator and front door for you whenever you steer in their direction.
Breakfast is general Turkish and pretty boring. Bland coffee. Airplane style bread rolls. Choice of yellow or white cheese. Tomato, olives and cucumber. Jams in plastic containers...
Location is fantastic, right in the middle of Istanbul's Beyoglu area with lots of good restaurants, bars and clubs just around the corner. Also good shopping, with the Egyptian spice market right across Galata Bridge.
Somebody else paid for my room, so I can't comment on value for money.
An extra plus is having the SoHo House garden café right across the street. They have good coffee and it's a lovely place to hang for drinks.

Excellent location with boring breakfast.

The hotel is well located if you have your business on this side of Istanbul. However the hotel is very noisy from surroundings, terrible breakfast and a unpleasant management/reception.

I seen and tried far better alternatives.

Can't recommend this Hotel

This hotel is very conveniently located at 2mins from Istiklal and 5mins from the Tunel stop. Great eating options close by. The hotel itself is very clean and well maintained, the staff very courteous and helpful. The room we stayed in was a little small but I don't think that should be an issue for travellers who don't spend a lot of time indoors. Breakfast was the usual Turkish spread and quite adequate. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great value for money, super location

we booked it for 4 nights. it was a cheap solution. clean and very good location. the room was small but I don't mind since I didn't spend all day in the hotel. breakfast its not the best. it has the basic and the things It has are fresh. for the price I booked it , it was very good

summer holidays

The hotel is conveniently located in the European part of Istanbul: the metro is actually 200 meters away, you can also sit in the tunnel (you can also walk close to it, about 100 meters) and go down to Karachi. Any attraction is 5-10 minutes away by car.

Very convenient hotel.

Au Pera is located very close to the Gálata tower, right in the westernmost district of Istanbul, away from the most touristic mosques.Good value for money, excellent breakfast and cleanliness for a hotel located on a main street in the neighborhood.The staff is always attentive and friendly in a quiet hotel and, curiously, one of the few who have a curtain to darken the room at dawn.

Excellent location, clean hotel and courteous staff: the Au Pera is an excellent solution for those who want to live Istanbul in the best way without having to stay in the tourist resort Sultnhamet, which is reached in a few minutes by cable car and the Galata Bridge. In addition to the fast connection to Sultanhamet, the Au Pera is in the center of Beyoglu, which means having the best restaurants, the nicest premises and, a few steps away, the shopping street Istklal Caddesi. The Au Pera is located in an old-fashioned building, the staff is always really courteous and available, from the attentive receptionist to the ladies in the laundry, the good breakfast. We come to the rooms: the normal rooms are rather small with a clean and clean relationship.

We stayed four nights at the Au Pera Hotel when we arrived in Turkey. The hotel is professional but a little impersonal. We who had heard so much about Turkish hospitality were a little disappointed by the staff who were quite retreating and rather silent, but not unpleasant nonetheless. The two big positive points were our room which had a beautiful terrace on a part of the city, not the most interesting but still, and then above all the location of the hotel which is ideal for those who want to experience the life of Istanbul.
