Very good modern accommodation. Travelled for a short half term break with wife and 2 teenagers. Modern appartment in a refurbished old Victorian school, close to city centre. so much better option than an hotel when travelling with teenagers who value their own space but as yet are too young to have hotel rooms of their own. This is perfect, would highly recommend it.

Stayed in the Victoria Street flat mid week with family during the February half term. Location is really excellent, everything on your doorstep including bars, restaurants and shops. Although Victoria street is quite busy the bedrooms are well placed in that they don’t face the main Street so extraneous noise in the evening wasn’t minimal (can’t speak for what it might be like on weekend though!). The flat was a great size for small family. 

Main issues were that it was impossible to turn radiator on in the kitchen. With no double glazing in the property and an exposed extractor fan it meant the kitchen was very cold all the time. Not so much an issue for our stay because we were barely in the kitchen but it was very cold and would no doubt cause issues for those intending to cook in kitchen. Rest of the flat was warm enough although one or two radiators need bleeding! 

Other issue was that the mattress in the first bedroom is in desperate need of replacement. The springs could be felt through the surface and it was uncomfortable to sleep on. 

We had an enjoyable time and I would happily stay there again if the mattress was replaced.

Excellent location, few niggles

Always my first option to stay in Edinburgh! Location cant be beaten!! Very good appartments , cozy rooms, slightly softer mattresses but no problems at all! there was a kitchen you can use to cook or have coffee/tea! Excellent communication beforehand and during our stay! Staff is lovely and helpful! Cant recommend it enough!

We got the tram from the airport to the Princes Street stop and from there the apartment was less than a 10 minute walk.  As we arrived on a late flight, we were sent directions and instructions to pick up our keys from a nearby key box.  We got our keys no problem and let ourselves in.  We had Apartment 1 on the first floor overlooking St Giles Cathedral (literally!).  The view was amazing and it was lovely to people watch from the wonderful floor to ceiling windows.  The apartment was cosy and warm and was lovely and clean.  The kitchen had every appliance you could need including dishwasher and wash machine.  A small kitchen table would be a nice addition rather than the high stools and counter, but just a suggestion. The bathroom was small but spotlessly clean, modern and had a lovely shower (over bath) with lots of hot water.  The bedroom was at the back of the building (down 3-4 steps) overlooking a small, unused courtyard - so it was really quiet, despite the property being on a busy street to the front.  The lounge area had a comfortable sofa and large TV. Wifi was ok, not great but we weren't there for that!  The main attraction of this apartment was the fantastic location.  St Giles Cathedral is literally on the doorstep with endless shops, restaurants, tours, the castle etc only a short walk from the property.  I would highly recommend this apartment and I will definitely be back when I am in Edinburgh again.

Excellent Location, Great Apartment

Stayed 4 nights. Very well positioned and quiet complex. Cosy(small) apartment, very clean. Good heating, hot water, everything we needed. Car park was a bonus as we could just park up and walk everywhere. Would recommend

Modern self catering apartments very centrally located in old town and very cost effective compared to local hotels. Ours in Old Tolbooth Wynd was modern, clean with two en suites, full kitchen and large lounge. On old cobbled lane off the lower Royal Mile. Pub on corner of main street and bus stop opposite. A 20 minute walk up hill to Castle. Several apartments on offer and key pick up from office off the High Street from 9 am. Looked after our bags during the day. Good decision to take a cab for the few hundred yards to the apartment on the cobbled street.

Great apartment and location

We stayed at these appartments for 4 days in a two bedroom appartment.  I was a little worried from reading previous reviews but was pleasently suprised.  There is quite a steep walk down to the appartments, with a key coded entrance.  Our appartment was furnished lovely with a nice kitchen, everything you needed,  The bedrooms were clean and had fresh linen and towels.  There is some noise from outside in the evening (its on a ghost walk trail) but as the bedrooms were in the back it didn't bother us. My only ask would be an additional front door lock from the inside we we felt the door wasn't very secure. The location is brilliant with a two minute walk up to the royal mile with loads of pubs and restaurants. Very central to all the attractions.

A good central base.

Stayed in a 2 bedroomed apartment on The Old Tollbooth Wynd. The apartment was super clean, perfect for a family, everything in the apartment was excellent and comfortable and all the facilities we needed for a week or long stay. Loved the deco,the location,the comfort,the kitchen was fully equipped, the LOCATION was wonderful.
The kitchen has fully functional washer/dryer, dishwasher, stove and all the utensildsrequired. Everything was spotless too.

The only reason Im not giving a perefct 10 is that the cleaners only came once for a 8 days booking, they only replaced the towels and made the beds once. The kitchen bins, bathroom bins were not emptied and the toiletries not replaced. We messaged the staff, were assured that the cleaners would do it but till the end of the stay nothing was done.

Wonderful accommodation right in the heart of the Royal Mile.

Visited for my sisters 50th birthday weekend.  Thought they were overpriced we paid £900 for two nights and our apartment was not any that was shown in the pictures except for the galley kitchen.  The sash windows would not close and we had a two inch gap at the top, and since we were in the heart of the Royal mile the noise level at night kept us all up.  Also the bell from the cathedral outside the window chimes all through the early hours.  There should have been double glazing throughout,  since we were not tourists and only coming from Glasgow we brought supplies! I don't know what your expected to do coming in on a flight and there is mo welcome package provided. Beds were comfortable and apartment was clean but I would not class our apartment as luxury.

Too noisy

Purpose of the visit 
I brought my partner and my parents with me on this visit to Edinburgh for a long weekend break. I used booking.com to book this visit. We flew into Edinburgh airport directly from cork. 

Location location location
I can not recommend the location enough! Literally in the heart of old town and once you step outside you are on the Royal Mile. St Giles Cathedral is just across the street and the hustle and bustle is infectious. The castle is about a 5 minute walk :) Luckily the weather was good for the weekend. Princess street is walkable from here in about 10-12 minutes via the mound. Coming back up takes a little longer as there are hills !!! Waverley train station is about 15 minutes from the apartment 

We arrived early and were able to store our luggage while we went exploring 

THE APARTMENT
The apartment was bigger than you would think from the photos on the website. Very airy! Given the close proximity to the street there was no issue with noise. There was a large open plan living and kitchen area and two bedrooms, One en-suite and a large bathroom. 

The place was spotless. I measure a lot on how clean a place is as it sets the time and I could not find fault with this. 
There was plenty cutlery, cups plates etc😊. There is a full kitchen and every thing that you would need to cook a meal. 
Tea, coffee, bread and milk was available as well as some cleaning materials. 

The beds were comfortable with plenty pillows and bed linen, all fresh and spotless 
Plenty bedroom storage for clothing/luggage etc
There was toiletries supplied also. 

Pros
Location location location So good I used my eyes ! This meant lack of photos  but it is a good sign. 
Con
Grocery shopping was difficult as the nearest was quite far away.
