Travelled as a family of 4 ( 2 adults and 2 children) staying for one night.  Apartment is in an ideal location to explore the sights of Edinburgh and the Christmas markets.  We stayed in Apartment 1 on the ground floor.  Very noisy when traffic is passing but I know this can't be helped due to the windows being single glazed.  Kitchen has most things you would need - although we didn't use this.  Two double bedrooms and two bathrooms (one en suite and the other just off the main bedroom). Fresh towels provided and extra bedding which was much appreciated.  Overall we had a nice stay but the apartment is in some serious need of TLC.

- walls all badly marked in all rooms (quick touch up of paint would sort this)
- all blinds are broken!
- power shower in the main bathroom - shower head didn't fit in the attachment on the wall so had to hold this when showering! Then I had to stop the shower half way through as the shower basin was taking so long to drain! 
- damp smell in both bathrooms

Overall is was an ok place to stay but wouldn't stay longer than one night.

Great location but only for the night

Cancelled by the owner 2 days before 4 of us due to fly in for the fringe festival. Just spent a very stressful few hours trying to find new accommodation in Edinburgh in August. 
It’s (just about) understandable if a big problem with the flat but in that case there’s no excuse for zero response when I messaged for an explanation. Avoid if you don’t want to be let down then completely ignored. Incredibly poor.

Appalling

Four of us stayed in a two bed apartment for 3 nights over New Years, we were really pleased with the accommodation. The location is fantastic, very central. Rooms were spacious, two bathrooms which was great, all kitchen amenities you’d expect in an apartment with added extras e.g. tea towels, fairy liquid, soap etc which are usually the things I’d forgot to pack! The welcome book gave easy to follow instructions on how to use the heating which was essential in the cold weather. It was freezing when the heating went off so it’s great we could control it ourself. There’s a lovely, cosy little pub across the road, we had drinks there so can’t comment on the food. The free WiFi couldn’t have been better, it didn’t work at all in the bedroom.

Great place to stay

We stayed at this beautifully appointed Georgian apartment in the historic New Town area of Edinburgh. Tastefully furnished and very welcoming. Very comfortable bed with lovely white sheets and  a choice of pillows. The spacious bathroom off the bedroom had a deep bath--a real treat to soak in- and lots of hot water. Good shower pressure too. The kitchen had everything we needed, ok  there was no toaster but we used the grill- perfectly fine. 
Young Street is in the Georgian New Town and the apartment reflects this as filled with light from large windows, naturally not double glazed, I repeat, Georgian!!! 
We would definitely recommend Young Street as a wonderful base for exploring.

Long weekend in New Town Edinburgh

We arrived at the apartment today. Granted it is in an ideal location, and is a perfect distance from everything. However, massive letdown in that we walked in to see that the place had not been cleaned from the last guests leaving, which judging by the check out times on the site we booked is 10:30 am and we checked in at 3:30pm. The beds were unmade, no toilet roll, no fresh towels. Absolutely appalling. We have contacted the 'management' to be told it would be sorted asap- to return to the apartment at 6:20pm and find we have followed the cleaners in. 
We have asked for a later checkout for the inconvenience of having to wander around when we should have had access to a CLEAN apartment to do with what we please- and have so far had no reply. Disgusting handling of your guests and would steer clear in future. Made what should be a relaxing weekend away a nightmare!
