The BEST thing about Torr House is Grant.
The man is the loveliest and kindest man. He was very attentive to everything, answered all our questions and requests, helped us with advise about our trip and just was really sweet.
The other great things about this place are everything else. The room was clean and tended to, there were plenty of complementery coffee, tea and tasty cookies. The beds are AMAZINGLY comfortable. I'd had the best night-sleeps in years. It's so close to the city centre, the bus station, the high street, the cathedral (gorgeous!) and museum. Seriously - I didn't want to leave.
The prices are great too. I got more than I asked for. It was a warm and welcoming experience and I loved it.

Home away from home

The hotel is very clean.
The room was light and airy.
The owners thought of things more expensive hotels don't. It had an iron, ironing board, kettle, plenty of tea / coffee / biscuits, larder fridge, microwave, plates, dish, and cutlery  and even a table, very useful with the takeaways nearby.

Better than the Budget Hotel title

Great room, although a little small. Ideally located close to all the local services. The room was clean and had everything you needed. The parking is secure and I was greeted by the owner who was very helpful.

Budget Hotel

We had the benefit of a room for 3 with just us 2. It had a kitchenette, a very Big tv and a spacious bathroom. The man organising it all was really friendly.
At night there were a lot of seagul-noises.. i think they have a nest on top of the room which was a bit annoying.. also because of the light pouring through in the room i was awake early on a day i could Sleep in a bit longer.. investing in Blackout windows would be nice😃

Free upgrade to triple room

There were four of us in the party and our reactions to the food varied from excellent to disappointed. This, I believe was mainly based on expectations and experience of the genuine article. I was very pleased with my Jungle stir fry and my wife really enjoyed her sweet and sour.
