This is a delightful place, quiet and peaceful in the Cambridgeshire countryside, but within easy distance of the beautiful city of Ely.  Our host Joanne was very welcoming and helpful.  Excellent accommodation, spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds and brilliant shower.  The selection of teas, real coffee with cafetiere, and biscuits in the room was very much appreciated.

Breakfast was very tasty with plenty of choice, with all dietary requirements satisfied.  We can not recommend Grove Barns highly enough, and would love to return one day.

Excellent stay!

My second visit to Grove Barn. A tranquil location, superbly appointed accommodation and a fabulous breakfast, only 15 minutes from Ely. Joanne a great host. The only change from my last visit is the sad demise of the lovely Anchor Inn, 100 yards away....

Perfect option for the Fens

I was looking for somewhere to stay with amazing scenery and things to do nearby, as I was planning to propose to my girlfriend during our stay. When we arrived, the scenery and accommodation exceeded both mine and my partners expectations and is absolutely stunning (my partner especially liked that there are sheep in the field at the bottom of the garden, that are very friendly and let you pet them). When I contacted Joanne to discuss my plans, she couldn't have been any more helpful and even gave us her best room at no extra cost. If you're looking for a short break away with amazing scenery, lovely and private accommodation with things to do nearby (Cambridge was only 25 minutes away and a great day out) and an excellent host. We couldn't recommend this place enough and will certainly be back in the future!

Amazing scenery and excellent host!

Grove Barn was excellent! Joanne was a lovely host who couldn't do enough for us. Our room was delightful, warm, very clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious with so much choice. A great B&B, we will definitely be returning!

Fantastic two night stay

Lovely, out of the way, B&B. Overnight stay in a double bedded + single bedded room with en-suite. It was very chilly when we arrived but the room warmed up after the owner set the heating. Very quiet little lane, with a pub a few doors away. 
There was an umbrella & touch in the draw for our use, which was a nice touch.
Breakfast was in the main barn, which was very nice. I had a full English breakfast.
There was a small garden outside our room, which must be lovely in summer.

One night stay in the family room

We Decided To Have A Short Break Away Visiting Bury St Edmunds Ely & Cambridge We Had Stayed At The Grove Barn Before & Joanne's Hosting Skills Were Great Nothing Was To Much Trouble Lovely Room Clean Great Power Shower Lovely Quiet Location & Breakfast Was Really Good & So We Decided To Visit The Grove Barn Again & We Were Not Disapointed. Once Again Everything Was Great & We Are Know Looking Forward To Our Next Visit 

Great Short Break Perfect Choice

Absolutely divine. Everything about it from the setting to the bedrooms to the fabulous breakfast ( best poached eggs ever!) and the host is a delight. Couldn't find a spec of dust anywhere. Really lovely place.

We have just returned from 3 nights mid week break at Grove Barn near Sutton.
Grove Barn is in a lovely quite location near to the New Bedford river at Sutton Gault, next to the Anchor Inn pub and restaurant.
Grove Barn is well situated to explore the nearby Fens, Ely, Cambridge, the Breklands, with many local places of interest and Restaurants.
Our room was immaculate and the breakfasts were fantastic.
Thanks Joanne for a lovely warm welcome into your home and suggesting some great ideas for local visits.

Wonderful Easter break

We don't generally leave reviews often; but felt in this case that we were obliged to tell others about this gem of a B&B. 

We stayed with our puppy for one night just to get away from it all and relax. Joanne could not have been more accomodating and even prepared our breakfast ready to take back to our room in the morning as we did not want to leave the puppy alone for too long. 

The rooms are located in a beautifully kept garden which overlooks fields. They have been fitted out to a high standard with solid oak furniture throughout the bedroom. All the little details have been thought of, including complimentary toiletries which were also of a high standard. 
The bathroom is lovely with a powerful shower. The accomodation was impeccably clean throughout. 

We both had full English breakfasts which were gorgeous, but there were also other options on request such as smoked salmon, kippers etc. A help yourself buffet of cereals, yoghurts and fresh fruit was also available. 

We would definitely stay again and most likely will. If you are looking for a quiet break in a beautiful location with an abundance of wildlife and walks; complimented with a great breakfast and even better host - look no further!

Fantastic all round!

We chose the Grove Barn sue to location and the photo on the website. We were absolutely delighted to arrive and see the Grove Barn was better in reality. The landlady Joanne is a delightful woman who is obliging and caring and is also a great breakfast chef. My husband had full English both mornings and was delighted to find them to his satisfaction with a happy tummy afterwards. The rooms were a good size and the linens were very soft and comfortable. The bathrooms were great with almost too much water pressure and we never ran out of hot water. Each room has its own temperature control too which made it very cosy.  We would certainly recommend it.
