Stayed for a couple of nights in August whilst visiting nearby family. The room was on the top floor and was very well and tastefully furnished. Lovely bathroom also with soaps, body wash etc. Bed was very comfy

We had a view over the river which was quite nice. It was quite warm in the room but there was a fan in there which helped. We were there on a Friday and Saturday night so (as expected) there was a bit of noise as the place emptied out but all peaceful once the pub closed.

Staff were courteous and the English breakfast absolutely massive.

We will definitely stay here again if visiting relatives in the area

Wonderful to see a venue so busy. Excellent food.  Efficient friendly staff.  Will definitely be going back.

Looking forward to going back in the warmer weather and sitting outside and viewing the river

Had read this had been renovated so as new to the area called in for lunch, service was excellent and food delicious, will definitely go back, had butternut squash risotto and husband had mussels, would recommend

We have attended a few times since the UK government allowed Public Houses to reopen and I must say that the safety measures they have put into place are excellent.
There is a lovely outside bar and a marquee for when the British weather turns bad. There is a one way system to maintain social distancing and hand sanitizers dotted around the place.
The seating overlooking the river has such a stunning view and is our favourite place to relax.
They have recently added pizzas to the menu and they are fantastic. 
Attend this local business as they are doing such a great job and providing an excellent service.

Such a great little find!  Carefully chosen menu with choices you wouldn’t find often.  The food and service was quite excellent and such good value for money.  The complimentary home-made fresh bread, hoummous, tapenade and dipping oil was a pleasant surprise and delicious. 



Excellent food and atmosphere!

This peaceful hotel, located in a quiet scenic location next to the river serves excellent quality food and drink and provides a friendly conversationally conducive atmosphere for both families and the single traveller. I would not hesitate to come to the 3 Pickerels again either with family or for business as the location, accommodation quality and staff are beyond reproach. In a word.....Marvellous!!!

.....Oh, and by the way, a Pickerel is a baby Pike!

Marvellous! An oasis of peace and character with friendly, efficient staff and lovely local bar customers.

This is a lovely hotel.

Stayed here for one night. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The small bar felt intimate and cosy.

The surroundings are very picturesque, next to a river. 

Very reasonably priced. Highly recommended

Nice Hotel in Lovely Surroundings

What a great hotel  small  ,a bit off the beaten track but great value for mone. Run by two sisters this has it all . A small bar  and  and a breakfast  room  ,outside terrace area  overlooking the river .In my opinion the room was superior to a lot of large hotels .even a coffee machine...Breakfast was superb  .A pity we only stayed one night .

What a tranquil and picturesque setting for a scintillating meal!
The staff went the extra mile to make it a special night.
The baked Mediterranean cod was quite superb. Very reasonably priced too.
Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Greek magic in the fens

The rooms are gorgeous, the food really tasty and the staff have been so friendly. Nice remote location with gorgeous views of the river. Only downside is that the music from the pub can be heard upstairs until late at night (the bass is a constant hum and can just about make out the lyrics), making it difficult to watch TV as having to concentrate more and annoying when you're trying to go to sleep earlier than 11pm.

If we didn't have to put up with the music, it would be the perfect place to stay and would've given it 5 stars.
