Absolutely amazing magical stay away. Comfy beds, magical little hut and great facilities. Kids loved it. 
Great choice of foods, dinner and breakfast ( Carvery Style, which we all loved  )
Bars and restaurants also made magical with there unique designs, splash land pools were brilliant and you can stay in for as long as you want. Definitely doing it again :-)
Pantomime was ok the actor’s were brilliant but it was spoilt by some parents letting their children run around screaming and playing. You had trouble hearing it all. Also you couldn’t really see if you weren’t right at the front due to people s heads in front of you and the kids, but great effort went into it well done cast :-)
The sea life aquarium was fab too on the theme park. 

Great Magical experience 

A very special experience.  Grotto, evening entertainment and staff were fantastic.  Food was very nice and accommodation was lovely.  We loved our hobbit house. Pre booking information was very lacking but once we got there it was great. Think there was a good amount of things included in ticket price, so a good bargain but we did miss out on lightopia, which when we booked was included but ended up not happening and no Christmas Market stalls. We would definitely visit again. 

Note for managers, one of your staff members was physically assaulted by an irate member of the public but they handled it very professionally and it didn't ruin out experience or frighten my four year old as handled so well. 

Magical festive weekend 

We stayed in the enchanted tree house which was a little bit yonder, through the enchanted village.

The entire place is magical, the fairy light trees, the fairy light head boards - well worth the money! 

The welcome hamper that you recevie alonside the hot tub access and 4 fast passes were amazing little touches. The fast pass was awesome for the wicker man and smiler. We paid for access for 2 days to the park which is plenty of time to get on all the big rollercoasters. Plenty for the kids as well - the breakfast on the morning is lovely and provided in a few locations around the resort. 

Will absolutely 100% be back this experience was incredible.

Cute as F Word!

Stayed for the fireworks and definitely would stay again. Top tip tho... if this is your visit to the park make sure you scope the place out before nightfall as it can be very confusing finding your way around at first because the property is so large.
we checked in after the fireworks and the park had closed, I am so sorry I didn't get the mans name that helped us to check in because his customer service was exceptional. such a lovely and genuine man. He seemed genuinely interested in our day and was happy to have us stay. He was a young fella with blondish hair :) 
The room was absolutely spotless and smelt lovely and fresh, now I never enjoy showers in hotels but this one was perfect, nice and powerfull with adjustable height, there was  a small bottle of shower jell, shampoo and a bar soap provided. towels were also provided. The room also had tea coffee and some biscuits, perfect after a long day in the park. The kids room in there was just adorable! I was close to sleeping in there myself lol. 


Highly recommend

We had a great short scarefest break and enjoyed every minute of it. The lodge was clean warm and well laid out, perfect for a short getaway. The crooked spoon breakfast was fab with plenty of options. We found the food on site ok. There seems to be a few negatives around the food all I can say is don’t expect fine dinning after all this is a resort and catering for everyone is extremely difficult. We thought the food options were varied enough and reasonable quality. 
All in all we a looking forward to another visit next spring. Well done to the Alton Towers teams for providing a great experience 👍

Short Break

We stayed at the enchanted village. Lodge 749 is an accessible room, right next to the check in reception and Crooked Spoon.

Accommodation was clean, small, but enough for one night.

We stayed out of season, only part of the park was open.

On arrival,  we didn't really have a clue where to park. We found the enchanted village and another couple advised us to drive to the theme park carpark as the monorail was closed.

The monorail is close to the main hotel which is a ten minute walk. Be prepared to walk if you're staying here in peak times, as you wouldn't have the advantage of driving from car park to car park  for easy access.

Signage around the whole place is very poor. More signage definitely needed.

Careful using the app. The roller coaster restaurant,  on the app, was a 50 minute walk from our lodge! Taking us round the perimeter of the park! This was actually a 20 minute walk straight through past the main hotel and splash landings.  Definitely some updating needed with the app.

Breakfast at the crooked spoon was very nice. Fresh full English and good selection of cereals and drinks.

Our dinner at the roller coaster restaurant was an experience,  do not expect 4 or even 5 star food, very basic but a great experience and it is worth a visit.

Good overall

Cbbs land was a must for the toddlers plenty of rides and stuff to do , lightopia and the pool satisfied too , the burgers in the secret garden restaurant were among the best I’ve tasted .staffing was plentiful and friendly, could hardly fault the place well done Alton Towers glad to see some thing in the uk that actually works .

Although expensive the tree houses are a luxury to behold , family size jacuzzi, dressing gowns and slippers.20/10

This is a review of the enchanted village restaurant Crooked Spoon.

The food at this restaurant was of an amazing quality. Starters was an amazing Ham Hock it was of the Tongue variety of ham and was the best place of food I have ever tasted. Main was a Turkey dinner incredible succulent and amazing buttery roast potatoes. However no Carrots which would be my only flaw but not worth knocking points off. Dessert was a smooth, rich and creamy smores cheesecake this was amazing and had good flavour in the cheese which could be too weak in others.
Staff were very helpful and had a very good vist.

Amazing Three course festive meal.

If you’ve ever dreamed of staying in a Hobbit Hole at the biggest and best theme park in the UK, this is the place for you. 
Rooms are a fair enough size, sleeping 5 over a large living space (not exactly 2 separate rooms as they’re separated by a curtain). The rooms are clean and have a magical woodland feel with fairy doors and animals as decor. 
Lodges are grouped in about 10 situated around a central green, each with a single piece of play equipment for children… this would be the only thing I would improve as it means children are bored or are tempted to go off on their own to find other adventures!
The breakfasts are served at the pub on the site and a buffet style and good quality, while evening meals can be sought at different venues either at the pub or at the other hotels. 
Access to the park is quite a walk (maybe 1km or more) but if you’re going to the theme park you’re going to be walking anyway. 
A nice stay in a good location and reasonable value for money if you hit on for offers.

Fab stay for 5 in a unique location

Fabulous stay, we thoroughly enjoyed our time during the Santa sleepover.  Very friendly, helpful staff.  They go to a lot of effort to make your stay special.   Complimentary Bus service to and from hotel and park super service, regular and again very friendly.  Santa grotto, lightopia, Splash landings all great fun! My only negative would be about the breakfast. It wasn't great quality and was extremely busy but it didn't spoil our weekend.  We had a great time!!
