Fabulous food and a delightful atmosphere. We were made to feel so welcome by Jordan. The presentation and service were both superb and we will definitely be lunching there again. Very easy to get there from Junction 18 of the M4 and also children and dog friendly. Perfect.

Historic lunch at The Old House.

Visited for lunch, best food we’ve had it for a long time.  All four of us had very different main courses and all commented that their dishes were excellent.  We shared two desserts and they were spectacular, amazing colourful presentation and tasted magnificent. Will definitely return for an over night stay.  Highly recommend.

Fantastic food, great service and venue

We were staying locally and wanted a good Sunday lunch, so came here. Very happy that we did - it was fantastic! Good, prompt service, fabulous food, and very reasonable prices considering the excellent quality of everything. The puddings were particularly wonderful!

A fabulous Sunday lunch venue

What a beautiful meal we had, so hard to choose which dishes to have, they all sounded so lovely on paper but that's not uncommon is it? when the starters came, wow they looked like something you'd be served at the ritz, same with mains and deserts which have a great twist on what you'd expect. They are as colourful as they are tasty. 
Anthony the chef is an absolute gem, his attention to detail wow, food was hot and fresh, not only looked appetising but definitely the tastiest. pictures don't do them justice but trust me you wouldn't be served food this good at the Chard!
The pub is homely, comfortable and has a really nice vibe, the staff are very attentive, friendly and feel full of happiness while being very professional, they know the menu and are happy to advise and they don't keep bothering you while you eat but are available if you need them.
Connor the owner is so lovely, he has a great pub, outstanding food and absolutely amazing staff. Give it a go you won't be disappointed especially for a special occasion.

Outstanding food, vibe and service

Have been dining here for some 10 yrs when we visit Badminton Horse Trials. The food has been wholesome and the service friendly and efficient, despite being so busy because of the Trials. How presently surprised we were today to discover the food has become excellent . Apparently the OHH has been sold out of a group and is now individually owned. A new head chef has joined bringing top quality, creativity and a wonderful menu. Staff still friendly and obliging. Wished we didn’t live 100mls away, but would be well worth the journey.

Best just became better.

Just stayed one night. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Had an excellent meal in the pub which was served by friendly knowledgeable staff. Breakfast was well cooked and substantial. Just what you need to start the day. Overall great value for money.

Great value for money 

We had a lovely stay at the Old House at Home for a weekend exploring Wiltshire. We were moved into the Signature Apartment which was a lovely surprise, the apartment is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It's directly above the pub so you can hear some noise from below, but this didn't really bother us. 
The breakfast was lovely both mornings, and we ate in the pub one evening. The food was great and very reasonably priced.  Would definitely recommend.

A great stay for a weekend in Wiltshire 

We arrived Thursday 13th July and were given a warm and friendly welcome by Kelly who book us in and directed us to our rooms. We had our evening meal in the restaurant, the food was excellent and the price reasonable so no problem recommending  the restaurant, it was Kelly who waited on the table and she did it with the same warm enthusiasm that she had welcomed us on arrival. The rooms were in a building adjacent  to the pub, they were large rooms containing ironing board, iron, plenty of coffee, tea, sugar and milk with a travel kettle, so once again no problem recommending the room. We booked out Saturday morning after a very nice breakfast once again served by Kelly who also booked us out and wished us a safe journey home. All in all a very pleasant stay and a final mention for Kelly who really did work hard yet remained bright and cheerful throughout our stay.

Two night stay for three people

The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and the shower was one of the best I have had on vacation. Kelly in the pub was super nice and friendly and the food was excellent. Good prices and friendly staff. I would highly recommend staying!

Clean and Comfortable

Great find! Stayed here for a gig at local arboretum. Breakfast was soooo good! Try the eggs royal or pancake stack with maple syrup ! Went as a family. Very welcoming team , very clean accommodation. Much better than your average chain hotel!
