We booked a table for 17 of us for our work Christmas meal and we were not disappointed! The roast turkey was done to perfection and the puddings were delicious, such great value for money. Service was faultless too 😍

Excellent Christmas Dinner Meal

Convenient if you're visiting the distillery and need a place to stay the night. 

Staff are friendly and food was decent. Special shoutout to Talya who went above and beyond for us!

There is a car park round back but spaces are limited so there's a good chance you'll end up parking on the street, which may mean a bit of a walk from the car.

Friendly staff, convenient for distillery

Have used this inn a few times in the past but the fabric of the interior is now looking very tired. The staff are quite friendly and helpful but they are being let down by the brewery. The pub was always a quiet place for a meal and a drink in the evening but the theme has now been altered to noisy with a preference for younger revellers. 

Has seen better days

Lovely bar lady, very accommodating and kind. Great place to sit for a drink with friends and family. The lady showed us to some accessible seats for the pram. I would highly recommend to those that are local to pop in and enjoy a social meal or drinks. Great staff!

Great staff!

The White Hart is more than tired. Carpets are threadbare.
Whilst the manager was always charming and helpful the staff were inattentive and slow.
Firstly, I was to have a reserved car park space for my two night stay but that only happened when I did it.
The bathroom still had a waste bin full from the last user which I found disgusting. On the second day removed used towels were simply not replaced.
I had booked dinner on my first night for myself andd my wife and a table had been reserved for us  - but the noise from others at the bar and such was just not conducive to a quiet meal. Nevertheless we were prepared to continue. That is until we were presented with the dinner menu.
I had previously seen the dinner menu online and it was the same in our room and we had made our selection. This new dinner menu had nothing of interest. It was reduced to a very limited selection none of which we wanted. When questioned I was advised that the menu we had seen both in our room and online had not been available for a long time!
Frankly that was the last straw and I left to search Whitchurch on a saturday evening for something  - anything - whilst not familiar with anywhere locally.
As it happened we were saved by Blue Ginger the indian restaurant nearby that I found by chance who went over and above to help us out.
My standards are not high but the White Hart needs to smarten up.

never again

I needed a break from work and a chance to remember my angel baby, so I came here as it was near where I used to live. I was greeted by Nikki and her lovely manner. I went upstairs to get settled as I was quite nervous as I had never travelled alone before! When I went down to dinner I was physically shaking but I was made to feel right at home by corrien, an equally lovely lady with the patience of a saint as I ummed and arrd at the menu, drink and food. As soon as I found out they had palma violet gin I was at home 😌. I had a nice conversation with corrien the next morning over breakfast where I had the waffles, I do recommend! This morning I had a pleasant chat with Natasha over my not wanting to leave and the reason I was there. Everyone was so polite and helpful, I definitely need to visit again!!

Detox weekend

We have a great time whenever we visit here, the staff are welcoming and attentive and they're dog friendly which is great. They're also perfectly welcoming if you want to use the place to work from which is great.

We came here for lunch which was tasty and speedily delivered. I had a tandoori chicken burger in a naan bread which I've not come across before and my husband had a lamb burger which was really nice. We had some very tasty deserts and are looking forward to coming back soon.

Friendly, welcoming and delicious 

This is a good venue for a family function. It’s very comfortable and spacious and also has plenty of outdoor seating. 
Great buffet food with a lot of choice and the staff are pleasant and helpful. 
Would book again.

Great service

A certain hotel booking site messed up our booking which didn't get off to a good start. Be aware the hotel does not offer breakfast included. Rooms are clean but shabby. Our room had a big window that looked onto flats on the lithe side of the road,  there was no privacy curtain up so we ended up with the big curtains shut when we were getting ready each day. My brothers room had what seemed like a waste pipe running through it which was ridiculous.  The traffic outside was really loud. People were standing outside smoking and shouting until midnight. There is a clock tower opposite which sounds every hour. We paid more than we were quoted and this didn't include breakfast.  On the plus side the evening meal and breakfast were very nice.  Bed are like bricks, woke up feeling like we'd been hit by a bus.  Without breakfast included I really wouldn't pay more than £60 a night for the room.  Will not be returning.

Overpriced, not a great stay.

Dropped in on our way to Winchester for a bite to eat and we both opted for the chicken and BLT club with chips. Great choice  , juicy chicken and plenty of bacon.  Salad crispy and chips excellent . Drinks not bad either. Well worth a visit .
