Excellent place to spend a few, wind down days. Perfect location for visiting Dartmoor and very dog friendly. Jo and Sam were above and beyond helpful and full of great advice. Super hosts. The breakfast was incredibly delicious with Jo making her own award winning granola. Weeke Barton is also close to some great pubs. Definitely recommend.

Just back from a wonderful weekend at Weeke Barton. What a find! A beautiful longhouse in a peaceful setting, tastefully renovated with the owners own unique style.

Jo and Sam were perfect hosts, you felt like you were staying with your coolest friends. Helpful but not intrusive, they have created the perfect environment to relax but also make the most of the local area with their personal recommendations. The communal spaces feel homely and are backed by a low-key eclectic playlist which adds to the atmosphere.

We loved the dine-in option which is offered on specific nights; for other nights there are plenty of ideas of where else to go in the area. Sam told us about ‘Emilia’ restaurant in Ashburton which is a total gem and a highlight of our trip.

Breakfast is included and loved the “text your order 10 mins before coming down” to the gorgeous dining room. Super yummy with different options.

We’ll definitely be back (and have told all our friends!)

Amazing weekend at Weeke Barton

My family and I had a wonderful stay with Jo and Sam at Weeke Barton. Our room was lovely and cosy and the extra bed for our 5 yr old was perfect.

The fires were always on and there were plenty of games to keep us entertained when we weren't out walking on the moor. 

Breakfast was delicious and the pies at dinner were just what we needed after a day exploring Dartmoor.

It was the perfect post Christmas / New Year rest that we needed and we can't wait to go back !

Weeke Barton is a beautiful getaway – the hosts are so friendly, the space so warm and the food so tasty. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a calm and cosy break, with fantastic walks and a beautiful coast nearby.

We had a wonderful stay at Weeke Barton. Such a beautiful setting with everything so thoughtfully provided for. Our host, Jo, was very welcoming and considerate and the delightful way that she set up everything ready for our breakfast made my wife cry! 
It was lovely to be so well looked after.  We would love to visit again.

A wonderful stay at Weeke Barton

Lovely place. Quiet, friendly, laidback stylish. Great breakfast with quality ingredients. We christened their CCS electric car charger which was handy. Beautiful Devon countryside around and we even brought some of next door’s eggs home with us

Quiet couples stay

Weeke Barton was perfect in every way. We were a party of friends with older children. We had oodles of space with several reception rooms, to die for comfy beds and trendy well designed rooms and bathrooms with everything we needed. The professional kitchen was more than adequate for weekend cooking. We rented the whole property, with it's open fires and quaint bar area. Everything was extremely clean.  Weeke Barton is picture perfect on the outside as well as inside. Set in an extremely well maintained garden with stunning views of Devon Countryside at it's best. Locals pubs are just a short drive away and Exeter is only 10 mins away.
There was nothing we could fault and appreciated all the thought that has gone into setting up such a perfect holiday property. 
Would definitely return and are, and will, definitely recommend.

Perfect Countryside NewYear Stay

My partner and I had a lovely stay at Weeke Barton! Sam and Jo were fantastic hosts, they made us feel right at home. The house is beautiful, extremely peaceful and in a great location, the breakfast is also very tasty. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful

From the minute we arrived Jo and Sam made us feel welcome. From showing us round, to getting us tea and coffee to helping us decide how to spend our time exploring the local area, nothing was too much trouble.
The house is stunning with open fires and so many quirky thoughtful features. 

We stayed in ‘Orla’ which was warm, spacious and incredibly comfortable with a lovely bath in the middle of the room.

There was a beautiful, warm honesty bar which served a good variety of local drinks and spirits and the meals were delicious. I’m coeliac and gluten free food was well catered for. The lounge area was full of books and games and it seems that a lot of care and thought has gone k to making sure guests are well looked after and comfortable.

A relaxing stay in the most beautiful space!

We have just stayed at Weeke Barton for the weekend. It is a fabulous hotel and we had a wonderful restful stay. The 16th/17th century cottage is quaint and comfortable and the decor is very cool. There has been much thought gone into those little touches which makes it stand out from the norm. We enjoyed our optional supper on Friday and the breakfasts were delicious. Well done to Jo and her team.
