Loved this site. Nice size. Was quiet when we were there. Somewhere to walk the dogs first and last thing. Had planned to do a hill walk but the mist came down!  Luckily it was close to the old railway line so walked to Dollar and back. Main toilet block was fantastic. Spotless, warm and a light show while you pee!! Restaurant looked good but didn’t allow dogs so we gave it a miss. Our pitch had great views and bunnies. Most looked level. Water pressure was slow but hey ho. Will definitely return.

Friendly and spotless

A warm welcome and a family feeling on this site. Much bigger than I expected overall but what I loved was the pitch sizes and the space. If you have kids they have plenty space and a small play park. Due to the location I think it would be great for families as it is off the road and kids can be safe. Facilities were well maintained and the staff were friendly.

Great wee site

Lovely clean and quiet site. Toilet blocks impeccable and showers were powerful and hot. Laundry area was also immaculate. Had a very lovely meal at the woodsman and another at Legends Indian just 10 mins walk away in Fishcross. In fact one of the best Indian meals I’ve ever had. Path linking to sustrans cycle network just opposite the entrance - great for walking and cycling and can go all the way to Stirling or dollar. Very lovely and helpful staff. East to see why this is such a highly rated site. A fantastic Place all round.

Understated perfection

Stunning little campsite with beautiful views. What made it was the excellent staff. Probably one of the nicest and friendliest group we have had. Don’t try out the restaurant as we only staid one night. Signage could stand out a bit more other than that. Well worth a visit

Hidden Gem

Plenty local amenities site was well kept toilets were clean and warm tiles a little slippy but to be expected especially with the weather, staff were lovely and helpful as this was our first time away in our caravan 

First time experience 

We have just returned from the most fantastic stay at The Woods!! We stayed in one of their mini lodges and it was brilliant. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The location is second to none, waking up with views of the mountains was so amazing. We had a small issue one evening, we called the out of hours line and a kind gentleman responded incredibly quickly and fixed the issue. We requested a highchair and travel cot for our one year old and both were great. There was a kids playground opposite our lodge, which was fun for our little one. We had the best time and were sad to leave. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful stay!

Just back from a three night stay at this lovely site. Staff were friendly and helpful on arrival and site was clean and tidy. Toilet facilities were very clean as were the showers however could do with the silicone being replaced in shower cubicles as it was very black in places. One of the reasons we booked this site was that it advertises a dog walk on site but outwith walking around the pitches there were a couple of grassy areas where dogs had to be kept on lead so wouldn't consider this to be the case. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Enjoyable short break.

spent three nights on site lovely clean campsite nice views and bus stop nearby. Unfortunately my wife had a fall from our van receiving a head injury. Staff arranged for warden Liam to attend and assessed and calmed the situation and phoned ambulance, who arrived confirmed it was a mild concussion and took us to A&E Thanks very much to Liam and staff for their help and it didnt upset our stay   

safe trip (almost)

Had a great 3 nights here. Staff were very friendly, and extremely helpful, and knowledgeable in emergency situations (which we unfortunately had) 
We had 2 campervans on a grass pitch side by side, and there was still loads of room for the kids to play and the two dogs to walk around whilst tied up.
Overall a great wee holiday and would have loved to stay longer.

Lovely, Clean and Beautiful Scenery

This is an affiliate park of the Caravan and Motorhome Club but unfortunately in our experience does not match their standards of amenities or customer service. The claimed Dog Walk on site does not exist and some pitches are very close to each other. As owners of two young dogs we chose The Woods because it’s entry in the club directory said it had a dog walk but on arrival the staff admitted this was not the case. There was a small patch of grass that could be used but other than that we were told to walk the dogs through the caravans. We were not comfortable doing this and so after two of the seven nights paid for we felt compelled to leave. We were denied any refund whatsoever. Make of this what you will but suffice to say we had a vastly more enjoyable experience at the Caravan Club site we moved on to. It had the facilities as listed.
