My husband and I stayed here for one night and found it to be very clean and tidy room and bathroom facilities were great. We had a beautiful and healthy breakfast. Kristina was a great host and was very informative with the history of the town and had a number of recommendations for dinner which we took up. It certainly was a gem of a town and b & b.

Lovely b & b

This place might not be for Americans who are fussy and need lots of extras. If you travel light and live simply you will enjoy your stay. Kristina takes good care of you and asks what type of Breakfast you want. The room is simple, but clean and comfy. Its safe and in a location to easily access what you need if you are willing to walk a little. The hotel has stairs and all of Fishguard is hilly, so it is not great for people with restricted mobility.

Simple B & B style hotel

After a couple of nights here you know the background of the people of the town, the history, and much more. Your hostess is full of stories, charm, and good suggestions for your stay. Great room, amazing bathroom, and location near whatever you would want.

A place full of warm hospitality and lots more

Myself and my husband were traveling to a wedding in Cornwall. We arrived in Fishguard at 9:45pm..on the Stenna from Rosslare so booked into this little gem.  The hotel has 10 to 12 - I booked a basic room but was offered an upgrade to the family suite which had two beds ..a double and single...both really comfortable.  Both of us slept soundly and had a lovely bathroom adjacent to our room.
Breakfast was beautiful...all home cooked food..delicious.  
We also enjoyed chatting with Kristina and her darling little doggie Toby and her little cat ..don’t know his name.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for its charm and hospitality

Gem..great find..

We stayed on the top floor family room which is like small flat - we had ample room for all three of us ( adults), and we all loved staying here -we were walking the Pembrokshire coastal path. The hotel is one of a kind and we really enjoyed meeting Toby the dog,  and talking to Christina the owner in the morning over a lovely breakfast. We are all artists and found it a highlight / interest stay expereiences of our holiday. Interesting stories and information from Christana too.. 
It is a very relaxed hotel and central to everything. It will not suit everyone but if you like quirky, one of a kind,  gentle places - non commercial and homely with a famous dog and a shy cat then I would completely recommend you to stay.. Charming.

Lovely welcoming and like home

Hotel was very old, need a good upgrade as new and fresh. 

In bunk bed room with fire exit door unlock....not right for under age 10 children. Alright for older who know what to doing. Our 2 boys was sleep alright thou.

In other room where my partner and I with 18 month old baby, good size of room but double bed not good for 6 feet tall...uncomfortable for my partner. I was sleep alright but cold room. Hair dryer was not working in the room, good job I bring my own hair dryer. Also the door was broken, need repair.

Bathroom need a good clean and upgrade because shower not working but lucky there is include a bath and the light need new bulb or repair.

The next day went down for English breakfast was lovely and we did enjoyed it. In that room need upgrade as well.

Family of 5 for 1 night

Stayed for one night. Booked a room, cost us £100 for one night as we were charged for a five bed room as that all they had. I think this is a DSS guest halfway house.

The bar wasn't open. No sign of a restaurant. The breakfast was average. 

The room was freezing cold, even though the radiator was on when we arrived. The room was okay, and looked like an effort had been made to clean it. 

This was the last room in Fishgaurd so we had little choice but to stay. 

The smell of the place is dreadful. I guess if you own a dog, and are use to the damp, wet smell of dog urine then perhaps you'd be okay here. Plus the dog is allowed in the breakfast area, which is never good. It hid by my wife's legs for a while then coaxed out with food and locked in a room where it barked from through out our food.

So all in all, not good really.

Needs a good clean.....and the dog needs to stay out the dinning area.

location on main street front rooms probably noisy. rear quiet. breakfast fine.
The building is probably 19th century. No lift.

Fine for a one night stay

This is a very positive note for the owner, very nice and always present. Unfortunately, the hotel is old and this affects the quality of sleep: the floors crinkle at the slightest step, the pipes create a great noise even if you open the faucet, and with the thin walls you can hear every whisper from the other rooms. The worst thing, however, was the bed, with a broken mattress in the center, which made the night a nightmare.

I sleep poorly and badly

The hotel is typical and nice in itself. It's convenient to find and in the center of the upper part of the city. The owner is very nice. Unique, but it's a big weight, the bed where we slept was very uncomfortable.
