Excellent if we had known they could have done our wedding we would have booked it.    Have tried to book again for overnight stays and will continue to look for when it re-opens.   Lovely setting and we had a warm welcome.   

Honeymoon night 2006

Enjoyed staying at this very friendly little hotel .The staff are lovely ,welcoming and pleasant. The location quiet and pretty.Rooms are comfortable and warm but very dated and in need of a refurb .Breakfast excellent! 

Comfortable and friendly 

We've been to the Crockstead Farm Hotel in previous years but in an evening. This time our volunteers went lunch-time.
We had a lovely room just the right size for 24 people.
There was an excellent choice on the menu of around 4 different meals for each course. We had the 3-course menu and I chose for starter the goat's cheese tart. It was fresh tasting but had a bit too much pastry. The turkey dinner with all the trimmings was excellent. Considering it was catering on a larger scale it tasted home-cooked and was well presented. Lemon posset with shortbread for pud was lemony and creamy. 
We had a great time and I would recommend the hotel for group events.

Christmas party

I stopped a few nights and found it a pleasant stay. 

I stopped in Room 1 which appeared to have been recently refurbished. Room was clean and bathroom was good and clean except for shower control and head that could do with a good scrub.

Tea, coffee and biscuits in room and small TV. A quiet rural location and far enough from the main road to be almost silent at night - great!

Staff were very pleasant and arranged a breakfast earlier at 7:15 on request which were very tasty, the evening meals were good too.

There was lots of easy parking, though the bottom corner of the car park was flooded, but it was very very wet!

Nice to see the friendly peacocks in the grounds, and lots of equestrian activity in the vicinity of the hotel too.

I would stay again.

Pleasant Stay

Stayed here for 1 night on business.
Just off the main road and all of a sudden your are in the country.
Lovely hotel, great friendly and polite staff. 
Room was comfortable but the WiFi let it down a bit very slow so maybe needs a boost, especially for my work needs.

Great hotel though and would stay here again if working in the area as long as WiFi is faster 😁

Very Comfortable 

My partner and i stayed here for 1 night.Room smelt slightly damp patches of damp above the door and by mirrored wardrobe.Thick dust on skirting boards,behind bedside table and cobwebs in light shade.Sticky coasters by the bed.Flowers in bathroom dusty and pubic hairs and brown marks on the toilet seat.Soap scum on the shower handle.The roast beef was like boot leather couldn't cut it let alone eat it.Staff seemed friendly enough but you had to approach them for information.Definately wouldnt stay here again.

My mother and two of her friends attended afternoon tea on Saturday 10th August. The set up was lovely, albeit the waitress trying to increase the bill by jumping down their throats questioning them if they wanted to add prosecco.  However... the cakes and scones were so blatantly shop bought, two cakes were cut up into slices so my mother actually pieced them together to make two whole cakes. Homemade cakes are rarely uniform and the texture was so light and the buttercream artificial, it was obvious. The cakes were red velvet, lemon drizzle and white chocolate and raspberry- the same cakes you buy from Tesco as part of their ‘Tesco Finest’ range- to prove this we went to Tesco to buy a red velvet cake and it was identical. 

An afternoon tea should ALL be HOMEMADE, especially for £17.95 a head. When the waitress was questioned as to whether the cakes etc were homemade she couldn’t give a clear answer. Crockstead should be ashamed of themselves for selling shop bought cake but also believing they can deceive customers.

Go to Tesco instead... that’s what they did!!

We have just come back from a 2 night stay here, due to a family wedding in Uckfield, and we thought what a lovely place it was on arrival, location is beautiful, with peacocks walking around the place, some ducks & we saw some beautiful horses too ... the only negative thing we'd say is the rooms desperately need some tlc, ours was ok, room 2, but needs attention, especially the bathroom! However, this was our only criticism, some of the staff were lovely, big shout out to Ross, who couldn't have done more for us and it was much appreciated, thank you! 
It is worth a visit, I'd just suggest to the owners to consider renovating the rooms a bit. 

Lovely place, but ...

We have just spent a wonderful short break here at Crockstead Farm with our very nervous dog. We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Loved our room...full of french reproduction furniture....very tasteful indeed and,spotlessly clean. The food(of which we had plenty!) was amazing....great portions,all freshly cooked and extremely well priced...Thank you to Max(chef) a huge asset to this place,along with Katie who selflessly catered to our outside seating requirements with our 🐶💙and took time to talk to us and made our stay extra special⭐️⭐️. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff here...Both Kirsty and Ross looked after us well too along with young Mark who served us on Wednesday evening...such enthusiasm and passion for a young man👏. All in all we had a wonderful couple of days which were much needed. We will be returning again in the not so distant future. For anyone local looking for a lovely lunch in a beautiful setting.....please head here,you will not be disappointed. Once again thank you all for giving us a lovely stay xxx

Just perfect ❤️

Enjoyed a lovely meal on Fathers day at the Crockstead hotel resturant, food was lovely with a good choice on the menu, also allowing for smaller portions for children. The staff are polite, friendly and helpful. The hotel resturant is beautifully set out with clean white table cloths and napkins. The hotel itself is set in beautiful surroundings, so it won't be the last time we visit here.
