Our 4th stay at Quarry Walk Park and yet again we had a lovely time. 

The first night was really disappointing due to our cabin being very cold. We woke the first morning to find the heating completely off and it being 12° in the cabin (this was not ideal as we had our 3 month old with us). 

However, this was dealt with very quickly and we were moved within a couple of hours to a new cabin (a lovely upgrade too) which was lovely and warm. 

As always the lodges are clean, tidy and have everything you need. 

Hot tubs are lovely and very clean and well maintained. 

A few reasons for not putting 5 stars: 
- WiFi really should be free now given how much the cost of stays has gone up over the last 4 years. 
- It would be much better if check in and check out times were adjusted. We always feel that with not being able to check in until 4 and then having to check out at 10 means that we essentially lose a day of our stay. 

We love Quarry Walk and will definitely be back again soon. 

Also definitely recommend local pub ‘The Raddle’ - lovely cosy pub with great food and drinks.

Another lovely stay.

The bathroom door is wonky making it hard to close and the dishwasher flooded and stinks of fish also the bath had a crack on the side the sink feels like it would come off the wall also the hood vent is very dusty. Also the table was wobblying and there are cracks in the walls and ceilings

Not the best lodge

Log cabins are advertised and shown as though they are on there own, but you are very close to other cabins.
As my photographs show, the log cabin was dusty, unclean and the bedroom needed a thorough deep clean.  Considering it states that it was throughly cleaned, and we could not check in until 16.00 hours the photos show otherwise.  A reminder there was a pandemic and cleanliness was so high on people's agenda that it seems to have slipped here. 
Quarry walk lodges are not prepared to take ownership or offer compensation in anyway and we could not address it at the time as the office were closed over the New Year. 
Awful customer service.
Oh and you have to pay for WIFI.

Wonderful stay (again). This is our second trip to quarry walk park, staying in the Hodgehog Cabin both times. Lovely accommodation,  wonderful hot tub, very clean and fantastic customer service. 
You can borrow books and movies from reception to use during your stay free of charge, which is a lovely added service! 

Wonderful Christmas 

This is my 8th time staying here and the most disappointing as some things in the lodge were shabby. There was burn marks over the work tops and a saucepan burn mark on the kitchen floor. Flooring lifting by shower in the bathroom. Electric went off twice and we had to get maintenance to sort it out. It was minus 4 outside so not ideal. 
The whole lodge needs updating and a lick of paint. The prices go up every year but the lodge has deteriorated. 
Driving around the park is full of pot holes and it’s been like that for over 5 years. 
On a positive note it was clean and the hot tub was fantastic. If these lodges aren’t updated I’m sure people will choose a different place to stay. 

Lodge needed updated. 

I would rate this place 3.5 stars. I will start with the positives, this was perfect for what I needed... I needed just some peace and quiet and to relax so we booked a hot tub lodge. I asked for an upgrade from the bluebell glamping huts and they kindly offered us the lodge. In regard to offering a fair price in a competitive market, they do that and we were satisfied the lodge was worth the money we paid (however, it could be better but I'll get onto that in a mo).

Firstly, the bed was to die for! I had the best night sleep in ages and I'd say it was more comfy than my bed at home which was very expensive. 

The hot tub was pure bliss, the location is amazing, rural, peaceful and relaxing! The decor within our lodge was very rustic and classic 'log cabin' which I loved, you could smell the wood decor in the bedroom. The miniature toiletries were nice, and them stocking up the toilet roll, dishwasher tablets and tea and coffee (although we were only provided with two tea bags). 

We only stayed a night, but overall I felt that the stay was exactly what we wanted. Peace, quiet and relaxing. It ticked all the boxes. 

I do have a few niggles though, again this didn't affect our time at the lodge. Being by Alton Towers, we had spoken about the possibility of booking again with the kids and using it as a pit stop. This time we went just my husband and I. However, after reading the booklet provided, I felt we wouldn't book with the kids there as it seemed stressful, rather than relaxing. 

There was a comment that if you smash a cup it's £3.00, plates are more expensive etc and all is to be paid at the shop or taken out of your £100 deposit. While I understand the reasoning as a small family run business, things have a cost. I do think this takes the relaxing sentiment out of the equation for parents with small children. We all know mistakes happen, i would hope that people wouldn't necessarily go around purposely breaking plates and cups anyway. This did put us off and we thought it wouldn't be appropriate accommodation for our children. 

Another niggle is that they empty your hot tub at 9am, but you don't check out until 10am. It would be more polite to wait until after 10am to empty and clean hot tubs, this would give people time to enjoy the hot tub before they left. We only stayed a night and earliest check in was 4pm, with check out being at 10am. We would have hoped there would be an option for an earlier check in time or at least having our hot tub until we gave the key back in. 

Thirdly, and lastly, the WiFi is a bit annoying. We needed the WiFi to keep in touch with the parents as they were babysitting the kids. We paid the additional £8 for the WiFi, which was supposed to work for 3 devices. We only had 2, but the WiFi only worked on one of our phones. There is no phone signal either, something to be aware of if like us, you're not bringing your children. 

Due to the above 'niggles' we wouldn't bring our children here no, however we would return if we needed a night away to relax and recharge from our chaotic lives. 

Fabulously relaxing and peaceful. Not a great idea for families. 

We have visited quarry walk a number of times over the years and it never fails to impress. The location is beautiful, great for dog walks, and the log cabins are a little bit of luxury, but also feels like home with everything you need to make your stay very comfortable. The staff are amazing, they can never do enough to help and the site is kept very clean and to a high standard. We Will be back Quarry Walk!

Beautiful location and fantastic accommodation

Had the most gorgeous mini break here. Could not fault it. Location is beautiful. I wanted to stay somewhere isolated with good walks and it did not disappoint. Such a peaceful place with accommodation nicely spread so you don’t feel overlooked by your neighbours. 
We stayed in cabin 38 which is an owl cabin. We liked the quirky hot tub in the garden. Sitting in it you really felt like you were in the middle of nowhere. 
Our cabin was spotless, fresh clean, white linen on the beds and fluffy, huge towels. The kitchen is really well stocked with lots of pots, pans, crockery. Just like a home from home. 
If you want a pub lunch, 2 local pubs- the raddle inn and the queens at Freehay are in walking distance (quite a substantial walk but manageable) handy to note that takeaways from the local area also deliver to the park. However because the kitchen was so well equipped it was easy to make home cooked meals most nights. 
Will most definitely be booking a stay here again. We have loved every minute. It’s a perfect place to unwind and explore the surrounding area.

Amazing! Perfect log cabin stay!! Exactly what we wanted. Clean, modern, every amenity you could ask for. Kitted out kitchen. Bluetooth speakers. Mood lighting. Hot tub. Decking area with seating. Just perfect! 
Had a walk around and lots of development happening. There's adult only areas and some for families too. Would highly recommend. Staff were all SO friendly! Really made the stay highly enjoyable!!

Robin Log Cabin

We came away for a short weekend break to celebrate my dads 60th birthday. 

The log cabin was perfect just for what we needed. It was spotless, lovely and warm on arrival. We had our own hot tub which was ready for when we arrived. The rooms were all very spacious and bedrooms were very comfortable. There was no phone signal which didn’t bother us because it was nice to able to relax.

On arrival there was a lovely little welcome back for us and our 4 legged friend which was a nice touch. We visited a couple of places in the booklet which were recommended but if you want a treat I would definitely recommend ramblers retreat. 

Only downside to the weekend was we couldn’t check in till 4pm and checkout time was 10an which we were a where of but it was so lovely it would be been nice to have been able to check in before 4pm. 

All in all a lovely weekend with family in a great location.
