We've been there twice. A fantastic place to stay, with a beautiful garden and above all with wonderful hosts. The property is at a convenient place to visit Robin Hood's bay but also all other places in the area. The rooms are spacious and clean and the breakfast delicious!

Fabulous

We returned to Saxon Villa to find it as good as ever.
Des and Heather made us as welcome as always.
The bedrooms at the front looking towards the sea are spacious and very comfortable. We have been in both.
The selection for breakfast is extensive and sets you up for the day.
We hope to return next year.



Returning to Saon Villa

This is our third time at Saxon Villas and hopefully not our last! It is the perfect venue for a relaxing break. The room was perfect with the most comfortable bed, fantastic views and scrumptious breakfasts - served by friendly host Des.

Comfy and cosy. Owners are very welcoming and down to earth.
Best breakfast ever. Beenmany times now which kind of speaks for itself.
Great outlook and easy access to Cleveland way or Cinder path walks.

We had our second stay at Saxon Villa in Fylingthorpe. 
Des and Heather are superb hosts who make the stay very comfortable and pleasurable. 
The breakfasts are amazing and the rooms are spacious with sparkling clean bathroom.
The summerhouse and Gardens are a wonderful place to relax with a good book and chilled glass of something

Lovely to be back at Saxon Villa, A warm welcome greats you from Des and Heather lovely hosts as always. 
S/Villa has beautiful views, immaculate clean & comfortable rooms with extra little touches
breakfast is fabulous with a good selection of choice, something for everyone.
 Although covid restrictions are over, all care & considerations are taken for guests, and hand gel and guidelines are provided. 
Saxon Villa is a little sanctuary to relax & unwind and recharge your batteries, it’s setting of Robin Hoods Bay a pretty little village by the sea, with many places to eat/drink is also on a 1/2hr bus route to Whitby/ Scarborough and is ideal for leaving the car behind and enjoying the scenery, making  it the ideal spot to stay, can’t wait to return

Lovely to be back

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Saxon Villa ,lots of changes due to covid , we had hand sanitiser in our rooms , there were more seating areas outside, very well spaced out , breakfasts were served rather than help yourself ,but that's absolutely fine. Des and Heather go out of their way to accommodate anything we need. It was our third stay their, and we will be back. Thanks for a very safe and enjoyable stay.

Weekend stay

The last 2 days of our Coast to Coast walk we were lucky to spend some time at this lovely place near Robin Hood's Bay. A large ensuite room in a quiet street, very friendly hosts en for a good start in the morning a real fine breakfast.

Des and Heather continue to be excellent and friendly hosts! We stayed in room three with fabulous views of the countryside and beautiful flowery garden. Breakfast was delicious and we can heartily recommend Saxon Villa!

Does 30 years staying at Saxon Villa say enough? See our longer review in September 2019.
Heather and Des continue to provide what must be the most friendly, relaxed and well run B&B in the area. The breakfast menu is well thought out and not restricted. Have as little or as much as you wish, and all beautifully prepared. 
The rooms are nicely furnished, with tastfull features curtesy of the artistic Heather!
We'll leave it there, so that we have something to add next year!
