Had such an amazing stay at this hotel great service all the staff are very friendly and helpful big shout out to Tania the receptionist who sorted my bed out for me and really made me smile the restaurant next door which is part of the hotel is also really great amazing food and drinks with a lovely breakfast in the mornings

Great stay

Had an issue with a damp smell in our room  and the staff could not have been more kind,  helpful and accommodating in resolving it. Thank you so much to the wonderful Jenny on reception and the lovely manager who helped us out the next day too (sorry, forgot her name). Sorry too that it's taken so long. Hope this puts a smile on your faces. X

Great staff

I stay in Premier Inns across the country all of the time. The last time I was at Gargrave was 2014 I am guessing and was surprised and disappointed to see that this hotel has not been refurbished. I cannot fault the check in staff, they were exceptionally friendly and helpful and Nicola helped me with an important request concerning my booking but I did mention to one of them how come this hotel has not been refurbished like the others. I will list the faults. And these are faults as I stay at many Premier Inns from Dunfermline to Hayle, from London Edgware to Burnley. Firstly the smell of the room when you enter is awful, a musty, damp (maybe tobacco) smell. The bathroom is dated, the mirror needs replacing and the joints are grime filled. The TV has very limited channels and the guide doesn't work because the clock has not been set. The fan in the bathroom is incredibly noisy to the extent I had to take a bath with the light out. The spare pillows I could not use as there was no seal on them which there should have been and I guess they had not been replaced by the way they were in the pouch. The sofa bed which thankfully I had no other guest to use was absolutely awful. It was dilapidated and in need of replacing and I would never sleep on it. The windows had condensation and wet on them, the carpet needed replacing. Bear in mind, I will say it again, I 'know' what a Premier Inn room should be like. For example you can tell how old a Premier Inn room is like if it is pre-card slot for the electric to work. This is way before then. Why on earth has this hotel not been refurbished ?? I stopped using Travelodge in the early 2000s because they became so ran down and unfortunately this hotel was on par with one of those. It's such a shame and really quite annoying as the staff are a gem here and it's location was very good for me but I just don't feel I could stay here again because of the state of the rooms. I do feel I want to take this matter further so will be emailing Premier Inn to ask them when this hotel will be updated. Parking excellent by the way, lots of spaces

Very poor room standard compared to other Premier Inns - update urgently needed

It is what you get for a premier inn. Good location and staff happy enough. Good for a based when visiting the Yorkshire dales. Beds comfy, but walls a bit thin and having to hear your neighbours snoring wasn’t the greatest but as I say it is what it is.

Ok, good base

Clean room, great night sleep, quick and friendly check in and fantastic staff! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Breakfast was lovely the following morning, loved the hashbrowns and sausages. Great stay will definitely be back! 

Great room and staff

Great hotel and location but let down by the adjacent restaurant and as it was part of the package  I have rated the whole site as one.  We stayed two nights, Monday evening food great, Tuesday morning described as  cooked breakfast. I think cooked means hot, I suppose the baked beans were.  Tuesday, Evening meal, staff were good but only twenty people in and I think every table had some issue with food or long delays. I felt sorry for the floor staff as they were getting the brunt of the complaints to what should have been a kitchen issue.  Wednesday breakfast again excellent. A pity the quality on Tuesday means I will not be returning to this hotel;

Great hotel, rubbish restaurant

Stayed just the one night. Had problems with no heating for a few hours but receptionist eventually sorted it. Mould on net curtains and ceiling, broken toilet pan, in general need of update. The silent night beds in my opinion not as good as Hypnos, found the memory foam top very hot for sleeping and uncomfortable.

Very tired poor maintenance great staff

We have stayed here before around the Easter weekend 2023 & it was very good and the staff and place were great. However upon our return to Gargrave, we checked into to our accessible room, this is where the problems started.
I am registered disabled and my partner is my full time carer, when we got into our room, we discovered only 1 bath towel & 1 hand towel for 2 people, also only 1 sachet coffee and tea & the lights above shower were not working & half the shower room was in darkness, we reported this problem to reception 3 days running & it still wasn't working on the day we checked out. Also on our 1st morning the table lamp by the door stopped working which we again reported to reception & we were told the maintenance man was off ill and they couldn't fix the problems, also on our 2nd day we asked reception if a cleaner could clear the rubbish from our room which was in a plastic bag by the bin. when we returned the same evening nothing had been done to the rubbish or the lamp light.
Over all the staff on reception were pleasant, but we were disappointed to this trip to Premier Inn Gargrave.

Tired looking hotel with nice staff 

Somehow, this Hotel was located in a small part of Yorkshire that we had never explored. The Hotel was an ideal base. And if our physical health and levels of fitness were better, we could easily have spent many more days in the area based from the Hotel.

Great base to use to explore the area.

Great location, but when we turned up it was obvious that the room hadn't been cleaned properly. Did complain and had to go through the uncomfortable bit of waiting outside the room whilst it was cleaned.
First time I've had to complain at a Premier Inn so very disappointed. 
Could do with some air in corridors as it has begun to smell like an old church. 
Did go through the correct procedure and  complained but got no response.
Hopefully next place better.
