The hotel was canceled two days before our stay! It's really not cool even if it was for medical reasons, because we had to look for another hotel not too far away and not too expensive. There was almost nothing left: we found it at 2am and for 200 euros more expensive.

Cancel at the last minute!

Inchbae's location is beautifully picturesque, and perfectly situated between the amenities of the Cromarty firth and Ullapool. It's made for the ideal rest stop after leaving totally unprepared & realising how far away Ullapool actually was! 
The Mother and Daughter duo who own the Lodge are breaths of fresh air. It's refreshing to be in the company of two people who are so welcoming and genuine. It's been wonderful each and every time we've stopped by since, to have a natter and enjoy some wonderfully fresh food from their seasonal menu. I can't speak for breakfast as I've not had one "yet", however I'm a sucker for anywhere which has homemade cakes and treats, and we are planning a getaway later in the year here!

They are child and animal friendly too, so just the whole package. I'd encourage anyone traveling the A835 east or west to swing by,  meet this wonderful pair, and take in the scenery from the conservatory. Stunning!

Don't miss out on Service with a Smile!

Nice location and room was very comfortable but unfortunately the new electric shower broke when I was in it having a shower and my partner did not get a shower. Breakfast set up is terrible. Service started at 8 am and we were there after 8.10 and all hot food was gone by then. When we asked for more we were told that the waitress  would need to speak to the chef. The offer was made to cook more off but  a French family of 3 in front of us were also waiting for eggs. The chef/owner came out and said that she had put out a lot of cooked food earlier and the guests had eaten it all. There was only one other table of 4 eating in the restaurant at that stage so this was not an acceptable explanation . We decided to leave and did get a discount due to the shower problem and no hot food at breakfast. Will definitely not be back and would not be recommending a stay there.

We called in for coffee and a sarnie.  Very friendly and fab value for money with proper coffee and my BLT was meal in itself.  We were offered the conservatory with its interesting selection of books but settled on picnic bench at the back of hotel with a stunning view of Ben Wyvis.  Pet friendly.  Well worth a stop for coffee and sarnie.

Cozy lodge. Very clean and welcoming. Fabulous views. It’s very unique as it is non corporate and has a style of its own. Would recommend this inn for a night stop or even exploring the area as it is half way between Ullapool and Inverness. Convenient for the N500.
It also allows dogs and has a good WiFi

Great place to stay

Family run, rustic house, rather unattractive on the outside. Very cozy bar area with good, simple bar food. Large, clean and quiet room, friendly staff. Good location on the Inverness to Ullapoll connection. Who doesn't like glamour and high tech, but is looking for cozy accommodation with a bit of captured charm, is right here. We'd love to come back one day!

Rustic and comfortable

Stopped in on our way back up to Ullapool for tea.  Warm welcome, service with a smile.  So friendly and helpful, couldn’t have been nicer.  Food was really good and prices very reasonable.  We sat outside at the back, overlooking the stream, lots of swallows  flying over the water.  Really lovely meal.  Definitely recommend this place! 👍

We stayed in our motorhome in the grounds and ate our meals in the restaurant. We were made to feel really welcome with a nice sheltered spot given to us. A real family affair with the mum cooking and her son at the bar. They have a small menu but the food was cooked fresh and very tasty. Breakfast was great and the home bakes were lovely. Her daughter served our breakfast and was really friendly. The views of the river at the bottom of the garden from the conservatory were delightful with the rest of the public areas being cosy. Many thanks for your hospitality.

Great family run with home cooking hotel and restaurant

After a hideous experience at the Argyll Hotel in Ullapool we checked out and went to the Inch bae lodge- it was a breath of fresh air! Run by a pair of pleasant friendly sisters who have taken it over this year. Lovely room, spacious, airy with nice bathroom, lovely view of a stream at the back. Really good breakfast with good choice of items. Bar food was cheap and cheerful but did the job. Very handy for Lake Maree, Applecross and so on - in fact more convenient for the places to visit than staying in Ullapool. GIVE THIS PLACE A CHANCE.

Stopped enroute to Inverness. 
Having spoken to the lovely lady who looked after us this place in NOW UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. 
We sat in the large conservatory at the back with beautiful views of the River Black. 
Our coffees were bang on and the lady chatted with us making us feel so super welcomed. 
If you’re passing it’s well worth a stop. 
The place looks like it caters for hotel/campers too
