i have been advised by staff at this property that “ Hi. Breakfasts are served between 8am - 9am and are charged at £7.50 each and include cereal, toast, cheese, croissant and jam with orange juice & tea or coffee". although its advertised as b&b its actually charging extra for the breakfast!

B&b?

Lovely place.  Lovely room.  Lovely lady who owns it Unfortunately we booked to sleep over one night after having driven 4 hours to get there, there was no mention that people can arrive at any time.  At 2am a family arrived, talking, laughing, dragging luggage and went into the room next door.  After 20 minutes of listening to laughing, talking, and what sounded like the dining chairs being dragged about, I had to get up, knock on and ask them to be quiet.   Now wide awake I went back to bed, but couldn’t get back to sleep. Then at 4am,  we was woken to movement, we could hear what sounded like someone actually urinating into the toilet and then the flushing was loud enough to have been our bathroom,   So we spent a full day at Hickstead Horse Show on 4 hours sleep then had a 5 hour drive home.  

Lovely place, would have been better if we got what we paid for, sleep!

I had a ground floor room, which was very helpful for someone who is partially disabled. Plenty of parking space right outside the door. A small table and two chairs outside, overlooking a very attractive garden in peaceful, quiet setting. My room was large with a tiled floor, rug, dining table and four chairs. A double, comfortable bed. Good hot shower. Hot, cooked breakfast was served on a trolley in my room. All very good. I enjoyed my stay.

A last minute booking to take the stress out of airport travel first thing in the morning. 

Upon arrival the host met us immediately. My wife and I were booked into room #2 and were literally parked outside the door. 

The room itself was warm, very clean and just as required for for an overnight stay. Given C-19 the breakfast options and delivery to the room were spot on. 

The location is well located to the The Parsons Pig so no need to feel hemmed into dinner at a chain/corporate hotel.

Very clean, a warm welcome, lovely breakfast, a great stay

We decided to have a 5 night break away - not far from home - during the recent heatwave. 

We chose Tanglewood Guest House - and we are very pleased that we did. 

The property offers car parking spaces and a lovely garden.

Our room (a double on the ground floor at the front of the property) was excellent value for money, clean, spacious - complete with a small fridge and dining table & chairs - and comfortable. (The twin room was at the rear on the ground floor). 

There was a wide range of choices for breakfast - which we ordered the evening before. They were brought to us via a trolley at our chosen times. The food was very good quality, hot and delicious.

We dined at the nearby Parson's Pig two evenings - and the other evenings we bought our own food and ate it in our room.

This property is ideal if you are flying out of/into Gatwick.

An excellent 5 night stay

My partner book me a surprise holiday to New York for Xmas. Due to flying from Gatwick and us living in Liverpool, she decided to book us this little B&B. 
She requested early check in but due to heavy traffic on the motorway we was running drastically late so arrive just after 8pm. We kept in touch with the lovely owners throughout the day to let them know we was running late. They couldn’t have been more understanding!

We went to reception and checked in and payed promptly and the lovely landlady showed us to our room and explained the WiFi, tea/coffee and so on. Fresh towels, fresh crisp bedding and a lovely warm room. We was absolutely exhausted so she left us to it and we got into bed and ordered a takeaway from the many menus in our booklet. 

We will definitely recommend this B&B.

Quick stop over.

Excellent in all respects.  Beautifully clean, comfy king size bed with memory foam mattress & en-suite shower room.  Lovely breakfast, with lots of choices, delivered by trolley to your room piping hot.  Very friendly owner who bent over backwards to be helpful.  Close to Gatwick but quiet.  Thoroughly recommended.  Would definitely stay again.

4 day stay

We stayed the night before a flight to avoid a rushed morning. 
Comfortable and clean room. 
Breakfast was brilliant! A full cooked English breakfast- just perfect to start a long travelling day! 
Will definitely use again. 5*

Excellent value

Wonderful find! Perfect for a stop over before Gatwick airport. Delicious breakfast brought to our room! Nice quiet location with parking and well kept gardens. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!! Thank you 

Hidden gem

As a seasoned traveller, I am quite picky usually. Nonetheless, from the amiability of its people, the comfort and coziness of the rooms and the beautiful surroundings, it is a perfect choice. And it's at a stone throw from Gatwick airport!
