Have stayed at the Alexander Thomson Hoyel 3 or 4 times a year for many years now. We love it's central (but not too central) location. The comfort and cleanliness of the room and of course a proper cooked breakfast in the morning.
What was bad
We got a bath this time, which we always ask for but never get, though had to screw the plug in and cover it to make sure it fitted. And the toilet seat was very mobile, so a few wee tweaks and all will be more or less
