Nice, clean room. A bargain stay.

Only drawback, the really steep stairs.

Great transport links into the city. A bus every ten minutes!

Nice bag of breakfast. Hope to call again when the lurgy is finished. Thank you.

Excellent value

I thought the house was lovely, full of quirky items. The stairs are quite a feat especially if you have difficulties, we were on the 2nd floor and although the room was lovely and I did like being on that floor, the stairs were hard. The only complaint I have is that as it was so windy one night the windows rattled each time there was a gust as they are the old sash type. They could do with being replaced with double glazed ones as we could also hear a lot of traffic on the main road outside. Other than that the value for money was good and even though it is not in the city centre it is very easy to get around using the subway.
If you get the chance go down to Byres Road, full of small shops and cafes, and also the Botanic Gardens. We only discovered it on the last day when going to Oran Mor. If you get chance go the re for a lunchtime play, a pie and a pint

Great value for money,  great for a play, a pie and a pint!

Stayed here when attending a wedding at Oran Mhor which is just 300m down the road. Quirky little place with individual decor. Steep stairs inside so not suitable for persons with limited mobility. Room was neat, tidy and very warm. Once the radiator was adjusted it was absolutely fine. Cosy ensuite. Continental breakfast was good.
The location was excellent for us and there are loads of pubs, shops and places to eat nearby so a good base to explore this part of the city. 
Good value for money. I would stay there again if in that part of the city.

Wedding trip

Stayed 2 nights for my daughter's wedding and booked the family room.
No parking is available which we were aware off. 
The family room has no bath and was not overly clean with the wallpaper peeling and chipped.
Room was roasting too but could not turn down radiators.
Continental breakfast was very poor quality !!
Staff nowhere to be seen and each time we had to go look for someone.
Would not recommend I'm afraid !!

Disappointing !!

Recently stayed for one night while attending a gig at Oran Mor. Very nice and cosy full of character. Small but quaint. My room was great and had a cracking sleep. Nice simpls bathroom and tea and coffee facilities. Continental Breakfast included which was good set in a nice dining room. Nice friendly efficient staff.

Loved IT!

We stayed for 2 nights at the weekend and the place was brilliant. Really friendly staff and breakfast inided in the price. Decent bathroom facilities and wifi. The hotel decor looks a little tired, but it's much more than comfortable and I would definitely recommend for a small city break

Great little place

Booked this place out for my family when we got married at Oran mor last month and it was fantastic, really quirky charming hotel! Staff were brilliant and couldn’t do enough for us. As some people have mentioned it isn’t super modern but it has everything you need at a good price and was completely spotless during our stay, and it was more than made up for in the character and amazing design of the place! We also organised for them to do a full Scottish breakfast for us on the Sunday which was fab! 

Lovely quirky hotel

Too old, too tired, too far up two long flights to room 14, too slow the shower stream and too expensive. In particular the website gives misleading information about local free parking - it is unlikely to be available as it is used by visitors to the Botanics

This hotel may be quaint but it is not worth the money

Situated in the west end of Glasgow great part of the city. Close to lots of shops and restaurants. The hotel is a very old and quirky hotel, a bit like been in the Adams family house. We loved it. Very large room (no 3) good wi fi connection, comfy bed and pillows. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Quirky

What a lovely hotel in a great setting. We were on the top floor room excellent. Very quirky hotel lots of lovely items to look at as you went up and down the wonderful staircase. Absolutely fascinating to me.
Staff so helpful wonderful continental breakfast.  We went as we wanted to see a member of our favourite band in Glasgow. Been an absolutely wonderful weekend and this amazing hotel certainly added to it . Thank you we will be back
