We were looking for a local venue for birthdays and special occasions and we think we may have found it. Nice surroundings and efficient staff. A varied menu with a choice of starters and main meals followed by a nice selection of sweets. The meal was enjoyable and the food of good quality. We will be back and can recommend it to anyone looking for local fine dining around Glenrothes.

Evening meal at Milton of Balgonie

Me the wife and Oor Kerry recently visited 43 Main st. to celebrate Sandra's birthday. We have been here before and were impressed. This time we were not disappointed ' the quality of the food is excellent and the staff are friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was good and although not too busy it was just right. As I have already stated this was our 2nd. visit and will not be our last!!.

Lovely evening

Compared to other B&Bs we were a little disappointed in some aspects. The bed in our room (the smallest as the landlady told us) was not a double but a square and a half. For us it was a surprise that breakfast was self-cooking...and above all self-washing. We found the kitchen rather... dirty. Instead the room and bathroom, in common, were clean. We really appreciated the kindness of the landlords.

A little disappointing.

We only stayed here one night because our tour includes several stages. The owners are very kind, the place is very nice and the rooms are very clean and tidy. The owner has put at our disposal a kitchen where we can make breakfast (eggs, milk, bread, biscuits, etc.) in full autonomy. Also in the room we found a map with some tips on the premises in the area (all about 1.5 / 3 km away).

Very nice and comfortable.

Spent one night in a twin room with shared bathroom. Room was very clean and modern, bathroom and shower were big and clean. There was even a wee trust bar and free tea, coffee and food items that you could make yourself for free (nice touch). Owners are staff were very easy going and friendly. Will certainly use again if in the area. Restaurant looked really nice  so might treat the wife to a wee meal and night away sometime.
It is set in a very quiet location which suited our needs too, my son came home and told my wife we need new pillows as the ones at the hotel were great lol.

Great friendly accommodation

Was greeted by the owners on my arrival late on Saturday night like a long lost friend even though it was for a flying visit before doing a skydive locally for charity. Shown to my room and where everything was. Went down to a really nice bar/bistro area where I again met the owner Steve, who showed great interest in my visit. Spent some time chatting to him and his staff who all seemed to chat like we were old friends. Room 1 was very well appointed with lots of nice personal touches. Had a very comfortable night. Didn't get a chance to try food but diners just leaving gave great comments. I will go back next time I have some free time, just to chill out.
