Nice little guest house and glad we were not put off by some other reviews.  Amanda was nice and friendly.  She pointed out a few little rules when we arrived and gave us a choice of 2 rooms. It was very hot weather and she gave us a fan for our room which was clean and comfortable.  Really nice breakfast and good choice

Arrived at 3pm Saturday, the host.Amanda was very matter of fact ie room up there.  Queried why we needed more milk. There was enough milk for 1 cup of coffee each. Just one bottle of water why not 2 or 0. No hand saintitiser . Came into our room when we were out for one hour. Switched light and extra heater off. The bed breakfast etc ok. Given steep uphill walk into town we took car which we wanted to avoid.

Indifferent host

Was greeted shocking by Amanda .. I just stood in silence .. she abruptly told us she was watching the tele (queen’s funeral) told us room 1 and don’t leave the front door on the latch .. we had to find our own room .. no towels in the room she forgot to check .. too busy watching  tele .. we needed an iron but was told another guest was using it did not even offer to let us know when they had finished.. room ok but not the view we expected .. Car park too small .. bed not great 
Breakfast ok although host was very rude to me over my place mat in the morning .. did not point out to help ourself to fruit or orange juice

One night stay

A great place to stay in the heart of the Cotswolds! Exceptionally quiet, Comfortable rooms, very clean, a very welcoming host and great breakfasts. We will return and recommend this accommodation to any of our friends or family!

Stayed 3 nights at Woodlands Guest House 
Amanda was a great host, very friendly and helpful, and when talking to other guests it was obvious she would go the extra mile for her customers. 
Room was comfortable and clean and breakfast was great, plenty of it and very tasty. 
Would thoroughly recommend!!

3 nights at Woodlands Guest House

Host accepted my booking then phoned a few days later to say she could not honour it but gave no reason. She asked me to cancel the booking and would waive the cancellation costs. (How magnanimous) The Booking.com records now show it was my fault when it was in fact the the Hosts. Very sneaky!! 
As my booking was only 2 nights I suspect she got a better offer of more nights and decided to kick my booking into touch.

Pretty house set a mile out of stow on a road without pavements, pretty tricky walking in some bits as blind bends so not ideal but only 20 mins to town. Amanda very welcoming and efficient, had some suggestions for pubs restaurants etc. Handy book in the room for info too. 

Quite dated rooms but very clean and the shower arrangement was a bit weird in room 4 as the head is perched on the window frame so doesn't quite work as well as it should. Beds very soft and perhaps more coffee and tea should have been provided instead of a tea bag each and two coffee sachets for 24 hours but I guess we would have got more if we had asked. The biscuits provided had already been opened and one missing from each packet ....

Overall a nice relaxing stay and the breakfasts were very tasty and good variety to pick from. Proper cafetiere coffee too.

The covid precautions we found a bit over the top seeing most restrictions have been lifted elsewhere and no masks required however we noticed that also some of the shops locallys were still being surprisingly strict despite government guidelines that they're no longer necessary.

Nice break

Stayed in the apartment that Amanda has and can say it was nice. You have your own cooking space and it's like a home from home. Amanda was lovely and very helpful and with advise were to go to explore. We stayed here for a friend's wedding which was only 7 mins away so was nice to come back and not to worry about waking anyone up when we got back late. Really was a lovely stay.

Wonderful stay

Location was very central to some of the best places in the Cotswolds and Good value for money. Despite what other reviews have said, we found Amanda alright. It was a professionally run Bed and Breakfast.

Two nights in the heart of the Cotswolds

Disgusting woman .. should be ashamed of herself. People travel from many many miles away and she shouts.. and I mean shouts... at them for arriving 5 minutes late. Rude rude woman. No manners no respect . Hospitality ... what a joke.
