Having given the owner of this awful place plenty of time to issue a refund…several months in fact….I have taken to writing a bad review.
This place was terrible… nobody here when we arrived, owner and his son finally turned up they were rude and had clearly been drinking!! Not an issue except the owner was driving! 
Shown to room it was filthy with stuff left from previous guests, dusty and needed updating. 
Breakfast only available to owners convenience and had to share a bathroom which is not great. Felt like we had moved into a house share rather than booking a relaxing night away! 
Have requested refund multiple times including in person before we left but didn’t argue our point as there were several of the sons mates there and we felt threatened! All emails ignored! 
Needless to say would never stay again and would advise anyone else to avoid!!

AVOID!!!

Our host Guy and his son Freddie go all out to make your stay at this lovely country house a memorable experience. Guy prepares wonderful meals and gorgeous English breakfasts. The accommodations are charming and clean. If you’re looking for upscale or modern, this B&B is not for you. But if you are looking for comfort and character, surrounded by horse farms and walking trails, then by all means book a stay.

Lovely Country Retreat

Guy and his son Freddie were fantastic hosts, nothing was too much trouble and they were super accommodating of us changing check in times and even helped us out with lifts when our taxi company let us down. The house is beautiful and full of character with some lovely walks around. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing stay with lovely welcoming host

We have just got back from our 3rd visit to this hidden gem in Dunsfold. 
A lovely country house with beautiful views and full of character and warmth. 
Cosy room with a really comfy bed and an excellent shower. 
Guy the owner is a wonderful host and nothing is too much trouble. 
Both Guy and his Son Freddie are excellent cooks so we had several evening meals there and a delicious breakfast every morning. 
We spent 10 days there and will return again next year.

Love this place!

Booked the twin room for 2 nights, and then had to bring the dates forward by one day which was confirmed by Booking.com two weeks prior to arrival. I emailed the property too just to make sure they were aware, but got no response. 

On arrival, no-one there. Waited 30mins, then Guy turned up. Very grumpy, said we were due the next day. Admitted he'd received my email, but had ignored it!  Said the twin room wasn't available that night, but also wasn't available the following night despite that being one of the nights he was actually expecting us!  Even disputed that we knew what room we had booked, even though it was clear from the description and pictures on the website that we'd booked the ground-floor twin room facing the garden.

Offered us other non-twin rooms which were uncleaned and seemed to be where members of his family were sleeping, but we declined as the atmosphere was terrible, and told him we were going to drive back home and cancel our trip completely.

To his credit, Guy then offered to phone a hotel in Cranleigh and organise a room for us at the same price, which thankfully he did quickly, as we couldn't wait to leave him and his property.

Awful experience

Great location away from everything, great for star gazing on a clear night too. Just a 1 night stay found on line last minute whilst winging it on a weekend away in the area. Lovely room with views over the garden and fields, plenty of bird life in the trees and bird table, lots of apples too. Plenty of character with a 300+ year old property. Guy and his Son Freddie made us feel most welcome.

One night stay

The house itself was lovely and you could see things were in the process of being updated - not the end of the world as I presume this was why the price was so cheap. The building had a lovely country feel to it.
So, the negatives... cleanliness doesn’t seem to be a priority here, neither does giving all the guests towels so they can shower!! My brother had a family of about 20 spiders in the corner of his shower (no exaggeration, if anything a modest estimate!) there was mould between the grout of the tiles and clear signs of limescale and scum. Onto the rest of the “extra guests”! There were lots of little pots and Knick knacks around the place which were begging to be cleaned! Caked in dust and full of dead flies, moths and god knows what else. The room I was staying in had a lovely comfy bed but the thing that put me off was the black mould and bubbled paint in corners of the room where there must be some sort of issue with damp or leaks in the roof. 
One last thing, I am an absolute MASSIVE dog lover so enjoyed spending time with Winston - I would suggest that maybe he should be discouraged from the furniture in the second part of the house (where I stayed) as after sitting on the brown sofa for mere minutes I was covered in fur! And did get a few mystery bites 🤔

Lovely area, very poor cleanliness

Lovely location, warm welcome and cracking breakfast. 
Didn't realise I would be sharing a bathroom with the owner!
The real problem was the inexplicable damage my car sustained whilst parked at the property,and that the owner has no public liability insurance☹

Nice place shame about my car

This place is very nice, it has a large and comfortable room. I've been there for one night, because of my work. It was very pleasant to spend the night there. I saw many dogs and it was great to see how much this place care about them.

Warmy place

After struggling to find the property as it really is out of the way and it was dark and rainy! Definitely advise checking google maps before setting out in the dark! We had a really happy stay. The property is quite old and quirky with wonky floors and crooked walls. The room we stayed in (num1) was lovely. It was very spacious with a really comfortable bed and a great shower. The views were of the surrounding countryside and soooo quiet. Our host, Guy, was great. Really friendly but not too intrusive. The breakfasts were really tasty and our second morning there was a freshly baked loaf. This is Guy and his families home so be prepared to meet other members of the family around the place, including a rather gorgeous dog. Would definitely recommend.
