We had a lovely stay at double gate , our rooms were spacious with everything you would need, very clean, with lovely decor. The surroundings very nice with views across the open countryside, a river running alongside.  Breakfast was scrumptious, very good selection, good quality food . Nothing was too much trouble! Debbie made us feel very welcome.
Would definitely recommend and will stay again.
Tea shop and cakes looked amazing.

Fabulous,, relaxing few day away !

Excellent value for money. We loved our Riverside room which was very clean and spacious with patio doors onto a small patio area which overlooked the River. The bathroom/wet room was very large and suitable for able bodied as well as people with disabilities. The room itself had a very efficient ceiling fan which had only a slight hum. It also had a fridge as well as device charging points. Breakfasts, which were pre ordered the night before, were sizeable and freshly cooked offering a range of options including a healthy bowl of fresh fruit. Nothing was too much trouble for Debbie and her father who was keen to know that the eggs were cooked to our liking. The garden was very well manicured with additional outbuildings including a guest laundry. The location was excellent for getting to Wells and the surrounding areas in the Mendips and beyond. 

An enjoyable and comfortable stay.

We stayed in SWALLOW BARN for 3 nights. There were 5 of us - two couples and a single. The accommodation was excellent: beautifully clean and comfortable. We all had our own en-suite bedrooms with very good showers. The dining area was large and the kitchen well equipped. Plenty of plates and crockery along with oven, dishwasher etc... The lounge was spacious too. So there was plenty of room, all nicely decorated.

Debbie was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and there was a very nice welcome pack which included scrumptious cakes.

Location is good - nice and quiet but only a 10-minute drive to Wells. Nice pub next door which does a great Sunday lunch.

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay and woudln't hesitate to book again.

Fabulous Stay

My sister and I recently spent a week at Double-Gate Farm b&b, which is ideally situated for visiting Glastonbury, Wells, Cheddar Gorge and numerous wildlife reserves. We found it to be welcoming and efficiently run. Our twin room was clean and spacious with large patio doors opening onto a terrace bounded by an attractive dyke beyond which was a field and open countryside. The beds were comfortable and Debbie had thoughtfully provided everything you might possibly need, from spare blankets to a large umbrella. Being all on one level and equipped with an excellent wet room it would make a perfect stay for a disabled person. A hearty breakfast with plenty of choice was served by Debbie and her dad in the tea room. An excellent evening meal can be had in the pub next door. We would thoroughly recommend Double-Gate Farm to anyone looking for a peaceful holiday in the heart of the English countryside.

An excellent week’s holiday

Just been to this fantastic place for a lunchtime sandwich, however ended up with an all day Breakfast which was absolutely fabulous, the best i have had in a long time.
The staff are sooooo very friendly and helpful, i cannot recommend this place highly enough, definitely a 5 star plus 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Great location. Fabulous breakfast. Comfortable room. We had a very warm welcome and had everything we needed for a wonderful short break. The view from the room was perfect. The pub next door was a huge bonus!

Great rooms, shared amenities and breakfast. Debbie and her family team couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. Our second stay at this farm B&B, this time as a base to see the starling murmurations on the Avalon Marshes. Cracking pub next door too with good food and cider. If you want to visit the Somerset Levels, the DoubleGate comes highly recommended.

Afternoon tea, beautiful scones very reasonably priced , lovely location great staff......love coming here . Last visit tea cakes on our cycling route.....they do lovely lunches too, compared to other places we stop off at this is a winner 

Idyllic location lovely tea shop/cafe

Centrally based location to explore the area. The hosts were fabulous and we had cake on arrival. The drinks selection in the room was amazing. The bed was very soft and the pillows non existence. The room was clean and adequate. The breakfast selection was impressive but the cooked breakfast disappointing. The breakfast cook cannot cook!!

Lovely accommodation located down country lanes with great views. Breakfast disappointing.

Fabulous place, food, room, people, all excellent. Will definitely return when visiting Wells/Glastonbury in the future. Stayed in some very good places in the past but this experience was something else, brilliant.
