What a fine victorian guesthouse! The friendly and attentive landlord runs this cosy B&B with only a few, individually furnished rooms. In the morning he supplies a wonderful homemade breakfast, including the btraditional scottish delicacies like Haggis. RossMor is highly recommended for a very pleasant stay in central Speyside.

Feel like a king in Grantown!

What a delightful stay we had at Rossmor Guest House. It was hard to leave. The guesthouse location allowed us to walk everywhere:  to town, hiking trails, for multiple dinner options and tea.
Breakfast was delicious and the host gave us wonderful suggestion for fantastic dinner options and things to do in the area. The room was spacious yet cozy with all the amenities (strong, hot shower) and a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. 
Our hosts were welcoming and warm and we thank them for such an enjoyable stay.
We would rate this more than 5 stars if we could.

Deserves more than 5 Stars!

After not having taken a holiday or weekend break for the past five years, we finally decided to go on a short getaway to Nethybridge to visit an elderly relative. We chose to stay at the RossMor Bed & Breakfast and were absolutely thrilled with our experience. Thomas greeted us at the door with a warm smile and showed us to our cosy, comfortable room. We selected our breakfast preferences and were left to enjoy our stay in peace.
The next morning, we came down for breakfast, and although I've had many delicious breakfasts before, nothing compared to this. Everything was made with locally sourced ingredients, served on a hot plate, and accompanied by Thomas’s signature smile. Ben also stopped by to say hello and later offered us more tea, coffee, or toast.
RossMor is truly a well-oiled, impeccably run establishment. We will definitely be returning. If you're considering staying in the area, make the RossMor Bed & Breakfast your top choice—the hosts are simply wonderful.

What a wonderful B & B in Grantown-on-Spey.  Convenient to walking to town as well as Caringorms  National Park for hiking.  Thomas and Ben are excellent  hosts and saw to all of our needs.  I came down with a cold and they suggested Lemsip - even provided one for me to try..it really help with  the symptoms.  This is a must stay.

Cannot rate this place or the owner any higher as it was just fantastic. 
We had a great time and our every need was taken care off by Thomas to even making us a breakfast to take away for our 10hr journey home. 
Everywhere is immaculate

                                          DON'T BELIVE THE HYPE
We are in our mid to late 70s I am disabled have use crutches to walk.
When we arrived at Rossmor we were @ bottom of the steps greeted by Thomas 
Wife had suitcase & 2 bags, Thomas watched wife struggle up the front steps never offering to assist he asked about flask we had in 1 of the bags told him we like to make our own tea when we go travelling.
I introduce ourselves Thomas took us up stairs (he did carry the suitcase) to Room number 4. The chairs in there were very low down too low for me, I asked if they had any higher chairs  we were informed by Thomas all the chairs in all bedrooms are same  (BLATENT LIE)) 
I noticed the bathroom had a bath told him I couldn’t manage the bath, the room we had booked had a shower. His reply was oh you are not Dave sorry, no I am Harry where he took us to room 2,When we entered I said I recognised the room from internet, This did have a higher chair (confirming the LIE), also a shower the reason I had booked this room.

There were small cartons of milk Wife  told him we didn’t like that milk. He explained we have fresh milk if you prefer it just come down and ask For Milk, To order breakfast you had to fill in a form for breakfast, giving us the form I requested breakfast for 8 am. Thomas told the only times left are 7/30 or 9am. The other times had been booked by guests who had booked in there before us.(ANNOTHER LIE)
Wife went down for fresh milk was told by Thomas’s partner we could have fresh milk either evening or morning they only gave us enough milk for 2 cups of tea.

The following morning We went down for breakfast there was 2 tables occupied one Room 3 the other room 4 the very same room he had shown us to on our arrival, they were on with their cooked breakfast, We arrived before the people in room 4 (or he wouldn’t have shown us to this room) when I had asked for earlier breakfast to be told the guest who arrived before us had booked the 8 & 8/30 time (CONFIRMING ANOTHER blatant lie)

The following day I asked at breakfast if we could have breakfast earlier yes 7/30 informed him I have to have medication & treatment @ that time so it is out of the question. 
His reply was you are being inconsiderate and awkward. But he will do it for 8/15am.
There was only 6 breakfast to prepare (3 rooms) there are certificates on display of their catering prowess,  if they cannot prepare cooked breakfast for more than 2 people in 1/2 hr when they know the night before what people require, they are in the wrong job. 

They are asking you to save them washing towels etc. For the enviroment (money they save will go towards replanting Caledonian woodland) Unfortunately There is nowhere to dry them the little Radiator is under window with a shelf over it,
Heating only on for a short time

There was dust on chair that thick could right my name in it. Open the window inside that had never been cleaned,

The coffee maker was very good 
The streaky bacon was not very good, back bacon ok wife asked for 2 bacon for the last morning, only doubled up on streaky bacon not back bacon, I didn’t have bacon did not enjoy dried up streaky bacon for me it was like cardboard sorry.
The fruit & granola at breakfast was excellent not good enough to make up for other things we were subjected to.  

When we were leaving Thomas said to wife it must be difficult for you having to do all carrying and work. He still didn’t assist with luggage just stood watching.
If that is there hospitality it’s not good.
Would recommend they go to Middle Studfold farm B&B to see how professionals cope with cooking multiple breakfasts & on time.
We will definitely not be returning A BIG DISAPOINTMENT

A wonderful trip! 
We are just back from a long weekend at the lovely Rossmor guest house. From start to finish Thomas was a fantastic host, we absolutely loved this place and look forward to returning. The breakfast wow! Delicious! The room was well equipped, beautifully decorated, and most importantly, after a long day walking and exploring the Cairngorms, the bed was very comfy. Location is perfect,  there is plenty  of choice in the town to walk to for an evening meal.  Days out are all in easy reach. Thanks Rossmor we had a fantastic stay! 

We had a great morning with the Cairngorms reindeer herd would recommend this! A lovely trek to see the reindeer. 
Loch morlich is fab for a days walking, we also visited Loch an Eilein which was also stunning. 

A must stay! 5 stars! 

Rossmor is a beautiful, historic guesthouse in Grantown-on-Spey. First of all I love that it's an old house, yet the rooms are also modern with modern bathrooms. Beds are comfortable and you have all  you need in the room. Then there is Thomas who is so helpful in giving you ideas on places to go, things to do, where to eat. He is personable and welcoming. He recommended Glenfarclas Distillery and it was the perfect distillery for me to visit. Breakfast is made to what you want. You order the night before and it will be there for you in the morning at your scheduled time. Rossmor has a great location right at the edge of town. It's close enough to walk yet not right in the middle of the town where it may be a bit noisier. Also, there are some great local walks right out the door of Rossmor. It really was a fabulous stay thanks to Thomas and the warmth I felt at Rossmor. I'll go back!

Amazing stay!

There are times in which the ease of a hotel is all that we want -- just give me a room and a key and a bed and a TV and I'll be fine.  
But there are other times -- staying in off-the-beaten-path villages, trying a new part of the world, planning on spending a couple of days in a place where a recommendation or two would be great -- in which there's just no beating a B&B.  Rossmor Guest House is quiet and almost grand -- but humbly beautiful.  It is on a quiet street within an easy walk of a quintessential British town.  And the owners are both warm and detail-oriented.....providing a thoughtful accommodation, tips on where to go and what to do -- and a breakfast that I will long remember.  Thomas in particular is personable and gracious.  We had no particular business in Grantown-on-Spey.....it was sort of "on the way," but the appeal of Rossmor in the reviews drew us -- and my wife and I cannot recommend it any more highly.  It's exactly why one chooses a B&B.

Exactly Why One Chooses a B & B

A return visit by my Daughter and myself to this superb Guesthouse in Grantown on Spey. The best Guesthouse we've ever stayed in. The hosts, Thomas and Ben, are friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our daily "banter" with Thomas at breakfast. The rooms are super, spotlessly clean, comfy beds and lovely toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfasts are second to none with a great selection to choose from (although we were a bit boring this year). A big thank you again to both Thomas and Ben for your hospitality. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We will be back again next year.
