Welcomed by very rude owner. No bar, no food as advertised which was our reason for choosing it. Toilet could only be flushed in ground floor room, by removing the cistern lid and praying it would flush. After numerous attempts, finally it flushed. Didn't report to aggressive owner for fear of being bullied into paying for something we didn't do.  The handle on our sons room fell off 1st time he opened door of his room. We paid the 3 nights for 3 rooms upfront so stuck it out as we knew a refund request would be welcomed with rudeness and aggression. I don't know how this place can charge people for staying there. The worst experience during our 22 years of travel visiting many countries.

Our worst experience of holiday accommodation in 22 years

A beautiful hotel in an excellent location, just a 2 minutes walk from the beach. Our room was simple but spacious, well maintained and clean. The staff and owners are lovely and welcoming. We loved it and our doggie loved it too!

I stayed here with work and I can't fault the hotel. It's been a difficult year for everyone with covid but they have tried hard and made sensible changes in not serving breakfast to avoid the guests mixing.
My room was pleasant, well equipped and David, William and Jo were very helpful, friendly and tried to help. 
Gorleston is a beautiful location between Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft with a lovely beach area and promenade. 


Fantastic location for the beach and Gorleston is perfect for a base to explore 

We booked a bed and breakfast expecting to get both components, and got neither.

Breakfast is no longer served ‘due to COVID’. This is despite their own website still stating that all rates are inclusive of breakfast. 

We were in room 1, right near the front door, and might as well have been sleeping in a nightclub. Guests constantly using the front door all night and room 2 and 3 banging around from 6am both mornings meant for a very poor sleep.

Although the location was great and the room was relatively clean, I implore you to spend your money elsewhere.

Not a bed and breakfast

Don’t stay there absolutely terrible twin room more like no room toilet overflowed shower atrocious one of the worst I’ve stayed in keep away you’ll end up divorced if you take your partner 90 pound a night 🤔 wouldn’t pay 9 pound it really is that bad 2 days felt like a fortnight

Horrible hotel

We booked this hotel because everything else was either fully booked or ridiculously priced. We paid £170 for two nights, which compared to previous years in different B&B's seems pretty steep, but with the current situation and it being the school holidays, I expected the price to be slightly higher. When we arrived, we were greeted by a lovely man, who told us where local tyre garages were. The no on site parking is a slight issue. It's a nightmare finding a space and when we arrived, we hit a rain storm cover, as it juts out from the curb and into the road. The man on reception was more than helpful and extremely polite and friendly. The only other thing, is due to covid, there's currently no breakfast, but with the marina Bay cafe in the seafront, we weren't worried about breakfast. The room was clean, smelt fresh and the bed was sooo comfortable. On our first morning, a lady knocked on the door and asked if we needed any extra towels, toilet rolls or our bin emptying, which usually doesn't seem to happen in a lot of places I've stayed in before. Will defintely be staying here again when visiting family.

Lovely little hotel.

Had to wait outside of the building as no reception, shown to our room which was very light and airy and very clean although the toilet was broken. Asked if i could order a beer and was told the bar and restaurant had not been open since the beginning of covid, not what it says on their web page. If you are looking for accommodation in this price range i would implore you too look elsewhere.

NOT AS ADVERTISED

Where do I start, I wouldn’t even rate this hotel, I arrived to be greeted with Asians hanging around with alcohol coming into the hotel. 
The hotel didn’t have a receptionist the corridors stuck of cooking smells etc. 
The rooms can only be of a what I see as a bail hostel.

Bail hostel

Booked through Booking.com. Selected option with Breakfast. After confirming reservation, Booking.com receipt advises no meals will be served. Slightly confused so I called the hotel to check the price as now will be room only as they are not doing breakfast which I was happy with as long as I am not charged for the breakfast. Only to be told that she would rather I cancel the booking as Booking.com have messed up her bookings. Also saying I did not leave my bank details when I booked which I did hence the reason for calling ahead as I am not paying for a breakfast that they have no intention of serving. Very rude, no apology and no offer to rectify the issue just bluntly told to cancel my reservation. Now wasted 24 hours with this booking and having trouble finding accommadation.

Poor customer service not very friendly as advertised

My family and I had booked this hotel, as we stay in Scotland and were coming down for my brothers funeral. However, due to the rise in Covid we decided to cancel the hotel stay. I cancelled within the time frame, which allows me to do it for free. When I checked my bank, I realised the hotel had deducted the funds ( I booked on a pay when you arrive basis). I phoned the hotel, the gentleman who answered was extremely rude, basically shouting that he had not taken my money. I had to hang up as I was about to burst in to tears! Not what you need when you are trying to organise a trip for your brothers funeral!
