Amazing place,clean quiet friendly staff the perfect night away
Stayed in the suite the bath was lush, the food in the restaurant in the evening was great and breakfast in the morning was lovely

Amazing!

Very friendly staff - all the staff: bar, restaurant, breakfast, cleaners: a real asset. Room was good size - amazing shower (although bit too powerful as water went everywhere!).  Good temp in room too. Food in bar was lovely as was freshly cooked breakfast. Plenty of parking. Definitely a place to revisit.

Great overnight stop!

Stopped here mid route to break up our journey. Thought we would try something other than a motorway services hotel and so glad we did.  This hotel was about 4-5 minutes if that from the motorway, but was very peaceful. It’s on the middle of the country with lively views. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and well presented with everything you would need. We were on the ground floor and could hear noise from the upstairs room so I understand why some people like 1st floor rooms, but it wasn’t a huge problem. We booked the last room which turned out to be an accessibility room, and it was well adapted for wheelchair users. 

We ate in the bar lounge and the food was lovely. The menu was clearly labelled for allergies and veggie/vegan options. 

Breakfast was cooked fresh and also lovely. 

Overall, this was an amazing find and we will only stay here in future as we regularly go to visit family in Wales.

Overnight stop

Only stayed for one night but the service was great.
Warm, clean and comfortable room on the ground floor. In fact I had to turn the heating down, which was very easy to do.
Plenty of sockets if you have things to charge and plenty of storage for clothes.
My wife was not feeling well and has trouble walking so they let me take something to our room for her to eat. I ate a lovely meal in the bar area from a good choice of meals at a good price. I then took drinks back to our room.
Nothing was too much trouble as at one point I had to ask for a second keycard as I had left it in the room with my wife and I could not access the accommodation block.
The breakfast was delicious with cereal, yogurt and fruit while waiting for the main cooked breakfast which came freshly cooked and very quickly.
All the staff were very helpful and could not do enough for us.

A great stay, will go again.

Thank you Ryan and the staff for an excellently organised wake for my departed mother. The staff were very efficient and the food was very fresh and tasty. I would certainly recommend the Old Barn to anyone organising a function. Thank you very much.

excellent service for a wake

Excellent service room was lovely bed very comfortable loved the hot tub in the bathroom very relaxing I would highly recommend this hotel only downside they don’t offer room service but the room was so lovely we didn’t mind that

Beautiful 

Absolutely fantastic from arrival until check out. Super friendly and helpful staff,comfortable accommodation and outstanding food. Cannot recommend this place enough and we will definitely be back. It is a real gem in a beautiful location. 

Wow, wow, wow!

We’ve been coming here for years to have our Sunday lunch with my mum. I think it’s been a while since leaving a review so thought an update. As usual, every one of the staff are really friendly and accommodating. We are always made to feel very welcome. We typically have the roast, and I must say that it is the nicest roast in the area. This is why we come here so regularly. It’s a great and friendly atmosphere and we recommend to everyone. We did actually visit the place 3 times this week as we’re on holiday. The Cajun salmon salad is excellent, full of flavour and generous along with the deserts!

Brilliant

Great food, friendly staff and   nice setting near some stunning walks..... I tried the surf and turf on the menu, which had a few nice twists. Was wonderful very tasty, proper pub food and my breakfast was also top notch. 

Having stayed in the area  before, this was the first time I was am to get out and view the local area..... some stunning  walks to be had 

Great stay, great food and friendly staff 

The catering overall was excellent in both quality and quantity for the funeral wake this week. The staff were all very considerate and attentive. There wasn’t anything that could have been done any better. Thank you so much for making it so easy.
