We literally cannot put into words how perfect the whole day was! That was down to the hard work and dedication of the whole team at That Amazing Place. 
From the first time we viewed the venue to the last dance, the whole team were on hand to make our experience totally unique and perfect. 
We fell in love with the intimacy of the venue and the fact we could have our beloved dog present made it a match made in heaven. 
We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending to any friends/family and maybe one day we will do it all over again! 

Wedding November 2023

I was lucky enough to get married at That Amazing Place last month. You can absolutely see where it got its name from, it truly is amazing. The whole place is homely, not just by the decor and furnishings but because of the people that run it. Everyone is so kind, helpful and so brilliantly clever that nothing was ever too much trouble. All of my many questions were answered quickly and efficiently and we were looked after from start to finish. I can't thank the team at TAP for making our wedding day so perfect and I wish I could do it all over again. 

Perfect Venue

From the moment we first arrived to meet Angie and view the venue we knew this was where we would celebrate our wedding. As we walked through the door we felt so welcome, there was such a calm, relaxed atmosphere, almost like walking into your own home, if only we had such a fabulous home! 

Angie and the team couldn’t have been more accommodating, from our very first enquiry to the morning after the wedding. Nothing was too much trouble. 

Come the day of our wedding everything went without a hitch, we couldn’t have planned for a better day, it was everything we’d hoped and more, we’d do it all again if we could. 

Thank you to ALL of the staff for helping to make our day extra special. 

Truly Amazing

Wow. Where do I begin? Paul, Angie and the team were incredible from start to finish. From answering my many questions, to promising me the party I dreamed of and so much more. I can't thank you all enough. The recent addition of the bridal cottage was brilliant with us staying there the night before and having our glam done the morning of the wedding. It was then such a smooth / easy process walking a minute or so max to the ceremony and then having the drinks reception, wedding breakfast and party all in one. It meant I was totally chilled on the day of the wedding. I couldn't recommend the venue more - from all the research I did no where could compete in terms of value for money and how beautiful it looked. 

Wedding Review

We got married at TAP on the 12th August 2023 and to say it was the most special day of our lives would be an understatement. Equally, it would be an understatement to say what a vital role Angie, her team and the beautiful venue played in making our day so special! 

From the day that we booked the venue Angie was consistently and promptly on hand to answer all of the questions that we had (a lot!). Equally, Angie was a huge support in making sure that we were checking off everything we needed for our big day in a timely and effective manner. 

The venue really is unbelievably beautiful. Photos of the venue look incredible but you really have to see it for yourself to appreciate how spectacular it is. Our guests were completely amazed at how beautiful the venue was and we have had many, many comments saying that it was the best wedding that they have ever attended.

When the day did arrive it ran absolutely seamlessly – this was the case even when our speeches ran over by a good 40 minutes due to us massively underestimating how long our top table would speak for! You really would not have noticed that this caused any problems at all for the smooth running of the day. Equally, Angie acted as our toastmaster and our guests mirrored our opinion that there was complete clarity in how the day was run. Moreover, on the day Angie set both of us at complete ease at the very outset and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Another example of how accommodating and seamless the TAP operation is came when the weather was raining for most of the morning therefore jeopardising our dream of an outdoor ceremony. However, Angie and the team set the venue up half outside and half inside to give us the very best opportunity that, if the weather gave us a short relief, they were positioned to make sure that we could setup outside quickly. Fortunately for us, we did get that break in the weather and the ceremony area was setup perfectly for our outdoor ceremony. This is just shows Angie and the team’s willingness to go the extra mile but was a consistent theme throughout.

We also booked the wedding cottage for the evening before the wedding and that was such a brilliant choice. The space is perfect for the evening before your big day – it is a beautiful cottage with plenty of space (including a beautiful garden for our little dog who was at our big day) and perfectly positioned to make the morning of the wedding completely stress free.

We could not recommend That Amazing Place highly enough – when you book TAP you don’t only get a beautiful venue but also a toastmaster, wedding co-ordinator, exceptional planners, even someone to fix your dress / flowers and so, so much more. If you want confidence that your special day will be as perfect as you imagine then make sure that you book TAP!

The most special Wedding Venue....

After visiting many wedding venues, we found That Amazing Place and instantly knew it was the one for our special day. The atmosphere, the family orientated environment (including the dogs) made it feel really special.

We got married at That Amazing Place on the 20th August 2022 and we are still not over it! Angie, Paul and the team were absolutely fantastic hosts and made sure our day ran smoothly and without fault! Angie was truly supportive throughout and made us feel at ease on the day.

It was a truly memorable day for us and our family and friends.

We have had so many compliments on the beautiful outdoor ceremony by the lake. 

It truly is an amazing place, we wish we could do it all again. Can't thank the TAP team enough for a day we will never forget. Would highly recommend for anyone thinking about getting married here.

The Best Wedding Venue!

Looking for a wedding venue? Look no further! I honestly don't know where to start with this review. . .  That Amazing Place was the second venue we viewed and we instantly fell in love with the building, the grounds and how friendly and welcoming the whole team were. For us it was a huge plus being able to have our dog with us for the whole day and night. He had the night of his life and had a great morning playing with the resident pups as well!We delayed our wedding from March 2021 to November 2022 due to covid and then the arrival of our baby girl and TAP could not have been more accommodating. The whole process from planning to day were seamless and so stress free, they walked us through everything from start to finish.Angie was there the whole day making sure that we knew exactly what was going on and what to do next, with all the excitement we had no idea so this was perfect! I could write an essay on the ways that the staff went above and beyond, but I will list just a few;Having a 7 month old baby there on the day was always going to bring challenges but when she was crying to be held only by me just as I was to walk down the Aisle, one of the lovely team even pushed her around the grounds for me so that the special moment wasn't overshadowed by a screaming baby. Another team member even watched her baby monitor so that we could eat our meal with family as she napped.One of the guys working ensured that we had a couple of our evening food Pizza's left in the room so that we wouldn't go hungry after missing out on our own food!Another actually ferried some of our guests to their hotels when they couldn't get a cab!It truly was the most amazing day. We could not possibly ask for any more.Just wish we could do it all again!Thank you so much to Angie, Paul and the whole Amazing team <3

We had our wedding at That Amazing Place on Friday 28th October 2022... It had been booked for almost 4 years by this point and postponed twice due to covid! During this time Angie and all her team were absolutely amazing at helping rearrange and support any decisions we made! 
Our actual wedding day was everything we wanted and so much more! I smiled from ear to ear all day! So much so that everyone commented that they had never seen a happier looking bride :) 
All our guests have said it was the best wedding they have ever been too! From the venue, to the staff, catering, grounds... everything is just Amazing! 
I cannot thank you all enough for all your help and support! I wish I wish we could so it all over again! 
It feels like a home from home which is why we fell in love with the venue in the first place - nothing is too much, nothing is made to feel rushed! It is just perfect!

Mr & Mrs Nicholls - 28th October 2022

We had the pleasure of getting married here on Friday 21st October 2022. All we can say is that it really does live up to its name of “That Amazing Place”. The house and grounds are absolutely beautiful and I can’t thank Angie enough for all her hard work during the planning and the actual day itself. Everything seemed to go very smoothly and how we wanted and again that’s all down to Angie working her magic in the background. We have felt so at ease and so comfortable, Nothing was too much to ask for and we felt so welcome.
We chose Magpie catering for the wedding breakfast, The food was delicious and the team were brilliant. Very professional and very friendly, so thank you! Also the staff at the venue who served us our drinks through the reception and evening are Absolutely brilliant, they made us laugh and feel so welcome too. Not to mention Andy our DJ for the evening, What an awesome man! He had everyone up dancing all night which was incredible to see.
We were lucky enough to stay overnight and celebrate again the next morning with our closest friends and family for breakfast which again was absolutely lovely. We even got a good bye from Alfie (one of their gorgeous doggies).
We can’t recommend this venue enough, everyone who attended has said how beautiful and amazing it was and how brilliant the day and night were. We are still very much in the wedding phase and keep reminiscing about our day!

It really is an amazing place

Where to begin? 

That Amazing Place (TAP) was the first wedding venue we viewed, and we fell in love with it straight away. We viewed others but for the quality and price comparison, in our opinion, nothing came close to TAP. We originally planned to have a small intimate wedding, but this quickly spiralled, and we needed to make use of the marquee on the grounds. What I will say is, you absolutely get use of both the beautiful Georgian Manor House and the marquee on the day of your wedding if you’re having a large number of guests.

What we loved most about TAP were the beautiful grounds and most importantly for us, the exclusivity - knowing that the venue was ours alone was so reassuring for us, and it really made the day special. The venue itself is kept beautifully and they really do go that extra mile to make sure it’s as special as it can be  - even down to pumping water from the lake on the grounds during the summer, to make sure out door weddings looked their best in photos! 

The rooms offered are big, clean and modern, and the bridal suit is perfect for getting ready in. 

Angie and Paul were very accommodating on issues of mobility and room use, and I loved that they offered us the golf buggie (driven by staff) to get guests with mobility issues to the outdoor gazebo. It really was a big help, and reassured my concerns for some our elderly guests. 

We had so many lovely comments on how beautiful the venue was, and we were thrilled with everything that Angie and the teams involved produced. We used TAP recommended suppliers, and they really made the process easier because they all know each other, which means I didn’t have to do much at all! We used Premier Crew, and the food was incredible. What was nice to see was how well Angie and Sarah got on at our final planning meeting, they were in sync and that alone provided us with such confidence. 

Every staff member we came across was so polite and professional both on the day, and during breakfast the next day. Even the security men couldn’t be more helpful - thank you for delivering those pizzas to our room!

The real crown in the jewel is Angie, she was superb from start to finish. She was fantastic answering all my emails and was such a reassuring presence throughout the entire process. I felt calm that our day was partly in her hands, and cannot thank Angie enough for making it such an enjoyable process. 

I would absolutely recommend TAP, and would love to be able to do our day all over again!
