I had a lovely Stay here, Up on the Top Floor. Very private room with entrance Hallway and Ensuite.
Very close to the Train Station, I used it as a Base for lot's of Day's Out. Friendly Staff and Clean Room's

Perfect

First visit this lunchtime.  A nice walk long the sea front and in for a gander.

Specials on the board. Coffee and tea quickly served. Corned beef pie ,mushy peas and chips were simply to die for.

I LOVED this venue and booked Sunday lunch.

What a find....

we went with friends to the tea room, had the full breakfast very nice, my wife had the prawn salad to die for, the cake and custard was outstanding will be back as soon as possible thank you for your hospitality, we didnt stay in the hotel just had eats.

Lovely little tea room, just off the sea front. Fabulous coffee served in china cups.Tea served in a proper tea pot. Delicious scones and sausages for the dog. All served quickly and with a smile. Very reasonable prices too.

Came here for afternoon tea for Mother's Day staff friendly  food was lovely and good portions   Will definitely be visiting again   3 different choice of sandwiches. Scone with jam & clotted cream corn beef pie scotch egg quiche  trifle 3 types of cakes  best afternoon tea Iv ever had

Lovely afternoon tea

Visited the Tea Room at Trinity Guest House twice and on both occasions have been extremely impressed with the high standards of hospitality and service. All cakes and pastries are homemade (I can recommend the warmed cherry scone). Tables are set with white linen clothes and drinks are served in china mugs/cups and saucers. Currently a hot or cold drink and cake or scone is £1.50 - such a bargain! There is also free parking to the rear of the guest house. A little hidden gem in Seaton Carew. 
I am unable to comment on the hotel amenities.

Tea Room Treat

Trinity Guest House is 1 of the best guest houses in the area, I will stay here again for sure. The owner made me feel very welcome and relaxed. 
The rooms are nice and big, very clean, with Comfortable mattresses 

Work visit

Nine of my friends and I descended on this cafe for brunch.  The setting was very clean with quite a cosy feel.  The service was poor and very disjointed whereby we all received our drinks at different stages which was a shame as the food was very good.  I tried the breakfast Stottie which was substantial and delicious.  It included egg, bacon and sausages which were well cooked and very filling.  My friends all enjoyed their food, but the service was a little disappointing.

Tea Room Brunch

Booked here for one night at short notice, and was glad we were only staying for one night. 

The room we were staying in had a very strong smell of stale cigar smoke, we could not open the window (which had a huge crack in it), and it has obviously been identified as a problem before, as there was a plug in air freshener in the room, but unfortunately, it had run out.

There were lots of dubious looking stains on the carpet, and a large stain on the wall, where it looked like someone had tried to throw up into the bin, but it had gone onto the wall instead.

The whole room in general, while it did look like it had been cleaned, was in a bad state of repair and was in desperate need of refurbishment.

The bedding looked fresh and clean, apart from one pillow, that looked like someone had wiped their nose across it, and the towels provided were clean.

The bathroom was clean, but again, in desperate need of renovation.

Breakfast was included in the price, but when we went into the breakfast room, everything looked so grubby and messy, we didn’t bother. There was a kettle, toaster and microwave, and some bread, crumpets, jam and cereal, but no obvious sign of anything to drink, or cutlery, and just some chipped plates.

Definitely not worth the £55 we paid for the nights stay.

More Contractors Digs than B&B.

After driving for five hours to get to this Guest House I was unable to gain entry after ringing the bell several times and phoning the two numbers on the email. 

I did not have a key code to enter because it had not been sent to me in advance. Eventually a resident from upstairs came down and said he would try to contact the owner. (Two days later I discovered that the owner was on a plane to Spain the time of my arrival and  did not seem to care that I had been unable to get into the Guest House). While I was waiting for this resident to return, two female neighbours came over the road to speak to me separately. Both told me not to stay there because that had been incidents of domestic violence twice recently, and police had been called. They advised me that as a single female it was not safe for me to stay there. I left and went to find another guest house.

There is a really nice friendly warm and welcoming Starfish café on the ground floor, which has no connection to the business on the floors above. The Starfish cafe owners are really sick of people coming down to complain that there are no clean sheets or that there is not enough toilet paper when it is not their problem and they have no connection to the business above.  I can recommend the cafe. 

It would seem that this is a contractors’ residence where Workmen with vans stay overnight when working in the area. I entered with a workman (two days later) and saw his basic single room which was clean and had clean sheets and limited facilities. He also had difficulty gaining entry. 

No food is provided on the premises, but is available downstairs at the separate Starfish business and elsewhere locally.
