Just stayed here for an overnight weekend getaway and it was such a cozy, quaint, charming little hotel. No frills, don't expect any bar/restaurant, but for somewhere to crash for the night, it was absolutely perfect. A stones throw away from the town and old town of Hastings and right on the seafront.

I had the single room on the 3rd floor, it was clean, tidy, had coffee/ tea available, with splendid sea and pier views and was really comfortable, I chilled out in the evening watching a movie on Flim4 I was that comfortable.

Staff were friendly and phoning ahead they allowed me to check-in early as well. 
Highly recommended for a quick getaway at a cheap price and with sea views.

Cozy and Quaint

Sadly we had the most awful nights sleep, or rather lack of. The room was OK but the noise through the single glazed window was just awful. There is an open air nightclub almost opposite that pounded out until the early hours .... and I mean about 4am, although clocks went back so maybe 3am. I appreciate this is not the hotel's fault and I can't believe the Council allows it to happen, but I do expect to be able to sleep. The storm in the morning was equally noisy and rain was actually coming through the sash window. The parking is in a nearby underground carpark which is locked from 11 pm until 7am. If I could've got the car, I would have driven home. The hotel is nearer a 2 star .... no idea where it got 4 stars from. Be aware there is no lift and 4 floors with a spiral staircase going up. 63 steps to floor 3. I dread to think what would happen in the event of a fire.  I hate to give bad reviews but they would have to pay me to stay again.

Checked into The Lindum for a weekend stay and it more than met my expectations. Beautiful beachfront location that is really well located in accessing the amenities of the town and venturing along the beach. Clean and cosy rooms, with the amenities you'll need, and friendly staff. 

Lovely stay in comfortable guesthouse

It is a shame to write this review as the staff at the hotel are lovely but I return from this 4 night stay at the hotel completely covered in very itchy sore bed bug bites, which is very bad and not what you expect from your stay.We were moved after 2 nights to the top floor room with a balcony and this is when the problems began. The first two nights were great with a lovely sea view and the bathrooms are very clean. However the water pressure is very weak in all the showers and we had to return home to feel properly clean. It was when we went to the top floor room that I was completely bitten one night, they really need to get a pest control in as it's not fit to stay in. Sorry but people need to know. I hope they sort it as apart from this it was a great location but this spoilt my experience completely.

Bed bug infestation top floor

I have just come back from a lovely week at the Lindum. The room and ensuite shower room were spotlessly clean and smelled fresh. Wonderful view from my little balcony! Comfy bed and pillows. 
The owner, Armine, is a lovely friendly lady and is very welcoming.
I had such a nice time that I have already booked the same room next year!

Amazing location!

Me and my boyfriend had a nightmare to start with being double booked in another hotel so the Lindum was the last resort being the only hotel left available. We went there and checked in we was on the top floor - it was very dated. No shower just a bath and it took forever to fill up! We then tried to settle to sleep and we was feeling very itchy! My boyfriend jumped up and started checking the bed and I lifted my pillow and 5 bed bugs were all scurrying round. 

Would not return and we was going to stay for 2 nights. Ruined holiday and had to travel hours home at early hours of the morning.

The hotel is located on the coast and I could see the water from my bed - great to wake up with such a view. The room and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a good shower. It is only a short walk from the railway station and all places in Hastings including shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Hastings is definitely worth a visit - I was pleasantly surprised. Armine - the host - is very friendly and made me feel very welcome. --- I will definitely be back to The Lindum  when I visit Hastings again.

a very pleasant stay - will definitely come back

Booked for a weekend away and chose this hotel because of location. Hotel was clean, rooms serviced daily but the room we was in -7- was very small. The mattress on the bed is in desperate need of change as the springs creak with every move and the room was quite stuffy
The main  problem with the hotel is the noise, it's constant throughout the night so we didn't get hardly and sleep and because there is no double glazing not much gets filtered out

Noisy Overnight

Booked this break on Booking.com.Very good location on the sea front, and lots of good restaurants very close by,
Small hotel, room clean and of an average size.
Bathroom extremely clean, although the water pressure is pathetic!!
Bed linen was clean, however the bed wasn’t very comfortable, soft and lumpy!.
Would we stay again? Possibly!

2 night break

me and partner stayed here if you have trouble walking this is no good we asked for ground floor when I got there given top floor 76 stairs my partner reckons I say more there is no lift so you either stay in or stay out as thay are to steap also quite dangerous as thay are windeing and narrow. bed very comfy you get what you pay for this was the only place available at the time the Indian lady that runs it is lovely as are the cleaners. ideal location.
