Stayed here for 4 nights, at end of October.
From start to finished our stay was excellent, parking space, large room with super comfy bed, breakfast first class great selection and freshly cooked every morning by Davie. Val was a great source of information of where to go and places to visit. Will definitely be going for another visit.

Excellent stay

I had the most perfect stay at Strathallan Guest House. I’m a fussy traveller and I cannot fault it. As a solo traveller I felt very safe. It’s also very reasonable for a solo traveller. 

It was perfectly clean, a calm and relaxing atmosphere and the hosts were lovely and kind and caring. I loved the interior design too.. it had a homely but quality feel to it. The garden was beautiful too!

Dave made the best breakfasts and catered very carefully for my gluten-free/coeliac dietary requirements. I only drink good coffee and even that was perfect! The fridge in my room came in handy too to keep some extra snacks fresh.

It’s so good when you find a little oasis like this! I will certainly be going back for my visits to Cornwall! 

Absolutely perfect! 

Three night stay was fantastic, location   was very good, room was excellent and Dave was friendly and informative about the area. Breakfast was outstanding. Will definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

Amazing three day break.

We had an exceptionally nice stay at the Strathallan Guest House with a warm welcome from host Dave who was very friendly and hospitable.  The rooms have all you could possibly need with en suite/toiletries, mini fridge, and tea/coffee facilities.  The room and bathroom was spotlessly clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable.  Perfect shower.  There is plenty of choice for breakfast - fresh fruits and yogurts and a variety of cooked breakfasts.  Delicious. The Guest House is located within easy walking distance to the town centre and is good place to stay to explore this part of Cornwall.  Brilliant.  Thank you Dave.

A wonderful guest house

The most pleasant stay I’ve had. The service was incredible, the food was spectacular and the place was spotless. I was prepared delicious vegan breakfasts and treated like family. The owners are lovely people!

Absolutely perfect

Excellent accommodation, very comfortable, clean, quiet, and the owner is very kind and excellent cooker. If you want to know Cornwall, it has a good location to visit the main little villages around it.

Helston Community College exchange

This was our first stay here. It is a fabulous B&B, and the award winning breakfast is just that! Very good choice too, not just traditional English. The room was just as you’d expect, clean, tidy, nicely appointed with hotel style toiletries available. David was looking after us on his own as his wife was away for a few days but he is a lovely man, always available, and couldn’t do enough for us, advising on local eateries and even putting ice packs in his freezer for us each day. Highly recommended, we will definitely return. 

A few days in Helston.

The rooms have been very tastefully and well updated. We were very comfortable and the breakfast was lovely, with a good choice of hot and cold items. The porridge was especially nice. Dave is a fount of knowledge of the area and town. So we were not short of ideas for places to eat, visit or buy our picnic lunch from. We were lucky to be able to park on site, but there is ample alternative parking nearby.

A great guest house

We stayed here last Easter for 4 nights, would highly recommend this establishment, very clean and excellent breakfast.
We will definitely be staying here again.
Situated close to town centre with some very nice walks within the area.

Holiday

great location to visit all the southern tourist areas of cornwall.
the host was very welcoming , knowledgeable and helpful.
the room was very  clean and breakfast was super and was very professionally presented.
parking was on site.
the only negative is that helston itself was not to our taste and was short of decent restaurants and smart bars. that may well be our problem and could be perfect for others.
