We booked a 'Romantic Studio' through 'buy a gift'. When we arrived we were told we were in "the cwtch', which was a tiny space. The owner offered us an upgrade to 'the cart house' at a cost £50, which we gladly accepted. This made our stay in Pembrokeshire very relaxing. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. There were creepy crawlies around, but that as to be expected along with the lovely birdsong and County views.  The walled garden was a real treat. The kitchen was well equipped. The hob could have been cleaner, and many windows and doors need maintenance.

Good value for money, clean and quiet, plenty of parking. Jane & Jon are very attractive but not intrusive. Would certainly stay again but longer than the 4 nights, we're just getting into it.
There is lots to do in the area, but you would need a car.

Good points 
Comfy bed, clean bedding and plenty of towels, free upgrade which we were glad about after seeing the room we were supposed to be in because it was tiny, I think we would have left straight away. 
Bad points
The room we had was a studio, it was in a desperate need of some serious work, damp wood, mouldy shower curtain, mouldy grout around the bath, huge gap in the doors to outside, huge holes behind the toilet and sink, last tenants rubbish in the bathroom bin, damp in the bathroom, cobweb’s and spiders everywhere, behind the headboard and under the bed we had to sweep before we could sleep because there were huge cobwebs, dirty microwave and we cleaned the fridge before using it

Definitely wouldn’t stay again

Home from a absolutely delightful stay at the old cart house. Beautiful little cottage, everything you need included. Lovely and clean ( bar a couple of tiny spiders, but it’s what you should expect in a location like this) . Tv had limited channels but still found a movie to watch each night, and with such a lovely place take a book of dome board games and switch off the tech. 
The secret walled garden enthralled my daughter, who thought it was straight out of a book. 
15 minutes to everywhere - Tenby, Pembroke dock etc. 
easy to find and sat nav gave perfect directions . 

Would recommend the owners invest in some place mats and coasters to save their lovely wood furniture getting marks.

Perfect little retreat

This place is filthy and disgusting!!!! The mattress was very poor quality and the quilts were thin and badly stained. As for cleanliness of the place, it was unclean and grubby. The dishwasher was smelling, the washing machine had mould in the conditioner compartment. There were cobwebs everywhere.The bath panel was broken and had sharp edges on the corner of the breakage. I could go on , but  to put it bluntly, this was the worst place we have stayed and would NOT come back. Awful

DO NOT STAY HERE !!!!!!!

We stayed in the Bakehouse.  somewhat grubby. I had to clean the top of the fridge which is visible as you step down to the kitchen and hadn't been cleaned for weeks.  Old hair balls scattered around the bedroom. The kitchen is reasonably well fitted but the cooker and hob have seen better days.  When trying to make an omelette, the frying pan hardly made contact with the ring. The toaster is also old. 

The downstairs bedroom is adjacent to the owner's kitchen, sound travels and I was woken in the middle of the night twice by banging and clattering at 2 or 3 in the morning.  The mattress was very comfortable and firm, but the bedding...hard and lumpy pillows (luckily we had brought our own)  The bathroom also needs a refit - cracked basin, inadequate shelves, rusty shower rail. 

The sitting room is very nice. With new leather sofas,  Could do with reading lights and more than one occasional table, we had to place drinks etc on the floor.

beautiful location, accommodation a bit lacking

We should have known this would not be good when we were greeted by a rat! The Old Bakehouse was dirty and damp. It smelled musty and the walls had signs of damp. The cobwebs in the ceiling space must have been there for years considering the size. We booked this because my mother is disabled and we were shown to the rear access which meant she had to go down a number of steps before negotiating a further 7 stairs into the living space. The accessible entrance was blocked by a large fig tree. The owner offered no apology.  The cottage was cold and we couldnt work how to put on the heating. There was a huge draft through the main door due to wooden panels split. The bathroom was dirty and we refused to shower. Thankfully we were only booked in for one night. The cooker was mucky and the toaster too dirty i wouldnt use it. We had booked our arrival for between 12 and 1pm but on arrival at 1.10 we were told to wait because they hadnt cleaned yet. On top of this we had to negotiate an obstacle course of a drive leading to the property. Sadly not the good break we were hoping for.

Stopped at Lamphey park for a week 2 nights in the house bed and breakfast and another 3 nights in the quirky cottage. The room in the house that we had had a four poster bed and a quite big room with shower,the breakfast was cooked by Jon and Jane which was a full breakfast or had what you wanted plus cereal and toast at hand, we then moved into the quirky cottage which is self catering now this was a little cottage big enough for two people with a ladder to get to the top half where there were two chairs and a television the bed was underneath as you can see in the photo and wet room with toilet and shower. The garden area was quite big with a sun house and a couple of badminton rackets to have a little play and well kept they had a couple of Shetland ponies the they cared for the hosts Jon and Jane were very welcoming and I must say very dog friendly too which made for a great stay. The other thing about the location is that you are not far from a dog friendly Beech freshwater east which has got a nice cafe around the corner.

Lovely classic old house,
That’s as far as it went, we had booked in for two nights b&b and only stayed for one as the owners were surely not aware of covid rules 
No use of masks by owners, breakfast foods such as Mellon, sliced breads open, and no covers over the food with fly’s in the room.
Animals were aloud  in the breakfast room.
Took five or so minutes for the owner to come in and see what we would like for breakfast, we asked for two cooked breakfasts, we waited about 15 minutes, when it arrived it was horrible the bacon was raw, sausage were well over cooked, black pudding was like a soup, poached egg were swimming in water. As you can guess we did not eat any of it.
Due to covid like many are aware of thing to look out for, in the room we had coffee, tea and sugar in open caddy’s, the wearing of masks in doors, and keeping two meters none of this was done at Lamphey park.
We went for a walk and decided not to stay for a second night, I went back in to tell the owners and was taken to a back room to pay for the one night, which is a very small room with no masks and no windows open.
As I was coming out I looked in the kitchen as I passed and seen the dog was in the kitchen with the cat on the work surface. 
Would not recommend this place unless thing change.

Lovely setting, terrible stay

Beautiful place to say, inside and out.  Very clean, all beds very comfy and rooms spacious and with good decor.  The food was lovely and plenty of it.  The owners were very friendly, and accommodating and we would all be happy to return in the summer as the views on a misty winter morning were lovely.
