Lovely little B&B on the border of devon & Cornwall. 
We stayed here as a family of 4 the room was clean tidy and homely. 
The lady who runs it is very accommodating & welcoming 😊
Dog friendly Children friendly, in a perfect location. 
The one & only thing this was disappointing was that there was no farm animals. This was beyond their control but we would love to come back once they have them back as the kids would of enjoyed their stay even more 😊 

Lastly although the breakfast was an additional cost it most certainly was worth it. 
Great sausages all cooked to perfection :-)

Barton gate farm was a great find when searching for family holiday. Had a triple room,plenty of storage although we lived out of suitcases. Beds very comfortable, a kitchenette if you wanted to self cater. Breakfast was a great start to the day, lovely fresh cooked breakfast or a continental. Lots of grounds to explore, daughter had fun feeding the fish. Lots of out door sitting to spend a lazy evening sipping wine. 10 minutes from beaches at bude get place to spend a day. Lots of local places to visit and eat. A must visit to the waterfalls at St Nectan. Thank you Paula for a great 8 days stressfree holiday. See you next year.

A great little find.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at Barton Gate and regret not booking longer. Paula is a great host, very accommodating and friendly. Rooms are spacious and feel very homely, beds are comfortable one of the best nights sleep I've had in ages, rooms are also spotlessly clean. Despite being on a main road it was extremely quiet. Breakfast is your typical continental however paying for something cooked is well worth it! There is a games room on site, great if you have kids it kept our little one entertained in the evening. Located 1 minute from the Cornwall border makes it convenient to visit local places and not far from historic sites. We had a fabulous stay and feel sad to be home but will definitely be booking again. Barton Gate is truly a gem.

Just beautiful 

We have had a wonderful stay at Barton Gate farm b and b. Very comfortable room with comfortable beds, clean and tidy. Service was exceptional and the breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend staying here for a visit. It’s perfectly situated within a good distance from Bude, padstow, Tintagel and Boscastle. 

Summer holiday

Took my two young girls away for a last minute break in half term. Safe to say we had the best time! Paula is absolutely lovely and makes the best scrambled eggs and her fried bread is apparently soooo good it tastes like doughnuts according the the littlest one! We felt very comfortable and welcome. Me and my girls had a fab time, we felt comfortable and safe. The room was lovely and just perfect for the 3 of us. The the wet room was a massive hit with the kids. The bed was super comfortable, probably the best sleep I’ve had in a while. Close to all things absolutely beautiful. We love it so much we’re already booked to go back in the summer 

Perfect place to stay. Welcoming, comfortable and close to the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen 

We where down to look at a property nearby we Booked Barton gate farm because it was near to where we needed to be for a few days, the farm is located just on the border of Cornwall and also just outside Holsworthy,
It’s in a ideal location away from the hustle and bustle so peace and quiet, the owner was extremely welcoming and really attentive to your needs, the room we had, room 7 was a really good size and a bed that you will literally melt into,
Continental breakfast is included in your stay but a full cooked breakfast is available for a small charge. I can’t recommend Barton Gate farm enough.

Ideal relaxing place to take a break

My wife and small dog stayed here for four nights in September. The room was large with an en suite. Facilities were good with a fridge, microwave and cutlery etc. Could have had a couple of comfortable chairs to be made available for the evening otherwise we had no complaints at all. Great stay, Paula is great and nothing was too much trouble.
Would definitely visit again if we are in the area.

Lovely bed and breakfast accommodation

Felt like home from home. Paula and her team were really friendly and the rooms were cleaned beautifully every morning. Breakfast was fantastic with a great choice.Thanks again Paula x We will be coming back !

Lovely place to stay

We have just spent 9 nights as a family of four at Barton Gate Farm and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 
Paula was exceptionally welcoming and accommodated the family. 
Our room was well presented and cleaned every day. 
 ContinentAl breakfast was perfect. A nice selection of fruit, cereal, pastries, toast etc. 
Cooked breakfast was a reasonable price. my husband enjoyed it (he mentioned the fried bread was good :) )

A nice touch were the animals. My three year old loved looking At the goats and feeding the fish in the morning. 

Friendly services all round. We wouldn’t think twice about returning. Hoping to be back soon.

Family friendly B&B

home from our 2nd visit to Barton Gate Farm, still as homely and welcoming as it was last year. a lovely continental breakfast in the morning, best fresh fruit or cooked breakfast is an extra if you wish. Rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels is a real treat! Great distance in the car to get to Bude, Port Isaac, we even drove to Looe, a beautiful place! Doggy friendly too! Highly recommend if your looking for a home from home, relaxed, family friendly place to stay. This "B&B" is certainly not your average b&b, its better! Roll on next year! X
