We booked a stay Friday to Monday in falls lodge 6. The last lodge on end by the top lake. We went to relax and fish. Upon arrival we were greeted and shown to our cabin, which was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. The telly is a bit small, but that’s because we’re used to a larger screen. The oven to a while to workout, but I got there in the end. Never known a cooker that won’t work unless the timer was on. 

Fishing was hard in the top lake, the middle or the bottom are much easier, but we didn’t know this until we left. We caught one fish, a perch all weekend. The guy said it’s not very often you can catch in there as there is too many places for the fish to his. So my advice, fish any lake but this one. 

We didn’t use any anything on-site, nor did we even leave the site until we left for home. We’d happily come back here again for sure.

Weekend break at Otter Falls

Stayed in one of the cottages. Despite the weather we had an amazing stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. The cottage was very clean, and was delighted to find o  our arrival complimentary tea and coffee and milk in fridge. Dishwasher tablets and tea towel as well as washing up liquid. Had teenage children with us and there was plenty for them to do. Swimming pool was lovely, free access to boules, tennis rackets and pool table. Washing machine in cottage and tumble dryers by reception. Friends stayed in one of the retreat lodges which was amazing too. Tickled trout restaurant was lovely and pizza truck on a Wednesday night cooked the best pizza I have ever eaten was so delicious and freshly made. Complimentary cream tea (the devon way) was a lovely surprise. We all had a fantastic time and can't wait to return.

Amazing friendly, well equipped site ideal for all ages

I booked a last minute Easter holiday break to Otter Falls for a family of 5 via Hoseasons. We stayed in one of the cottages with a hot tub. Couldn’t have picked a better location for a peaceful week long stay. The cottage was exceptionally comfortable and well equipped. The staff were lovely and helpful. Our boys all loved the swimming pool and snooker table. And the hot tub was a huge bonus. We’ll be back!

Easter holiday break for family of 5

Relaxing one week stay in signature lodge over looking the middle lake. 
Well equipped and clean lodge, milk, tea, coffee, and cleaning products provided.
Centrally located for visiting Devon coast.
It rained for most of our week away but this did not spoil our enjoyment of facilities on site, and we enjoyed walks directly from the site. Great hot tub over looking the lake.
Great food and atmosphere at the Sidmouth arms, a nice 40 minute walk down the road.
Super friendly staff on site. We would definitely visit again.

Relaxing one week stay in April with two teenage boys.

We loved our stay at Otter Falls. We had a 2 bed treehouse and took our two children and golden retriever. The whole process of booking was very smooth and we had 2 calls in advance of our stay to check we had all the info we needed. Sat Nav took us straight there with easy access from A303. 

The treehouse itself was gorgeous with a beautiful balcony overlooking the woods and lake. The paths are car free so safe for kids too. The balcony is gated so dog could sit outside. The inside was small but perfectly formed for 3 nights. It had everything we needed including thoughtful touches like a bag of dog bits and rubbish sacks, dishwasher tablets and milk. There are free bikes to borrow, the pool was clean and although other reviews mentioned the temperature, there was a sign in the pool area explaining why it is kept on the cooler side. We found it fine for an hour of playing. There is a dog wash area, boule playing area, fire pit with free marshmallows and even though the bistro had to close at short notice due to illness, they put on a pizza service instead which we thought was great service. Overall we were incredibly impressed. Everything on the Jurassic coast is an easy half hour drive and we loved the location. There is a Tesco nearby for supplies. 

We would definitely return and bring friends.

Brilliant, dog and family friendly stay with good access to local area

Great relaxing holiday. Fantastic accommodation, great new lodge relaxing and tranquil . Great friendly staff Cameron in the bar has great customer service. Lovely place to stay and relax and enjoy the area.

Great relaxing holiday

Just had a  lovely break ,  with plenty  of  things to do.  . The were so helpful.  We had a lot that week.  But the  accommodation was so good, every thing was thought for the stay,  welcoming  cut of tea and  coffee.   We will back again.

Worth vist

It was OK.  Nothing better.  We stayed in a treehouse.  2 adults, 1 dog.  
The positives:
It was clean and fairly new so everything worked fine and was in a good state of repair.  
The negatives:
Our treehouse was next to 2 which were still being built so we looked out on heras fencing and a building site.  Our own lodge had an abandoned ladder and some painting kit underneath it.  
The lodges are really just a studio flat.  There are inadequate cooking facilities or storage for a week.  The TV is very cheap and you can't even get iplayer / itvx / all4  etc on it so only go if you watch Netflix or terrestrial.
The bistro has very odd opening hours and can best be described as 'soulless'.  Why anyone would choose to eat there is a mystery.  Hard to pinpoint what's wrong but maybe lighting? No ambience whatsoever.  
We asked twice if we could move to a bigger property but they wanted £500+ for any chance of property despite the fact many seemed empty and clearly customer service was not that important.
There was no welcome pack  places to eat, walks, places to visit etc.  Seemed lazy

In reality they look more "fun" than they are.

Disappointing we left early

We were lucky to be one of the first families to stay in the new treehouses. The team couldn't do enough to make our stay fab - they called beforehand to make sure we had key info before we arrived. We knew when we booked that the treehouses were still being finished, but they called to let us know there may still be minor disruption from the others. They answered all our questions really promptly about bikes and shops and really couldn't have been more lovely. The treehouse was great - a real adventure. The team were really interested in our feedback so that they could help to make the treehouse even better. They listened and took note of our suggestions for more storage for clothes and storage for food. The treehouse was really well equipped - luxury in the trees! The facilities were great - there was a park ranger session for the kids where we did a bit of bushcraft - identifying trees and animal poo, lighting fires and den building - a great activity for all the family. The pool was amazing - the kids wanted to be in there all the time. There was tennis and football and bikes and walks and a playground - we had plenty to do while we were there. The bistro was welcoming - we loved our meals and chats with the team in there too. The site is very dog friendly (we don't have a dog, but lots of guests did). We had a great time. Great place - team were really helpful

Just back from a week staying in Treehouse No 2. These have only recently become available, as still building a couple of them. They are fabulous ioho. Set in a peaceful wooded area. Small but compact with everything we needed. Fishing Lakes on site. Only downside was that its a bit of a trek to the lakes with fishing gear from the treehouses, so may need a trolley..maybe they will put a cut through in in the future 🤷.Lovely fish in the lakes, hubby caught a huge Perch! The whole site we thought was beautiful. Dog are very welcome, with a fab doggie bag on arrival. Staff super friendly and helpful. 
We will definitely be going back!
