I really enjoyed my one night stay here on May 5, 2018.  I found it quiet and relaxing.  Shower was great, comfortable bed and grateful for the kettle and tea and biscuits in the room overlooking beautiful garden, photo attached.  Appreciated that the owner had arranged for early morning taxi to the airport as previously requested by e-mail.  I would consider staying here again.

very comfortable overnight stay

I wrote this place an email for my stay in July for 2 adults 2 children .my flights were due to land at 9.30pm . They have a policy doors close at 10pm so I asked then 1.there maybe a chance I could be a tad bit late. Delays,baggage etc 2. If I could pay in full before arrival on there convience and thirdly could we book a taxi at 3.30am the next morning. 5 days later I get a response so I screenshot all my details of the booking. 3 days later I get a reply of I would need a microscope to read my screenshot that's it. So first thing that popped into my mind was that the customer care of timing of their response to my emails werent exactly great. The 3 issues I asked them wasn't addressed and I've never heard of a legimate run business that would say I would need a microscope to read your screenshot. I believe this was from the owner??? So thankfully for booking.com I could cancel without charge .we are only resting our heads then flying early next morning. So decided to pay extra 10 pound to stay in holiday Inn check Inn 24hrs and better customer service I expect. Also Im not surprised that the owner has a bnb instead of a hotel and I've never blogged about anyone . I have purposly set up an account for this reason

Joke

Perfect place for a great stay when you are flying to and from Gatwick airport. Very close to the airport, 2 minutes by train+7 minutes walking. It's in Horley centre, nice house and accomodation in a big and comfortable house. The twin room is comfortable, fair size, for a fair price. The owner is an old man very friendly. The house has 5 rooms, quite and clean, the shared bathroom is clean as well. The breakfast is reasonable, there's a quite big private car park. We enjoyed our stay. Recommended!!!

Perfect

We got here rather late in the evening, the gentleman in charge of check was hard of hearing and irritable.  We walked into the entrance hall while there was another guest in the hall way going in and out of her suitcase and the host/recpetionist/owner (who lives at the property) was rather rude to her.  Anyway we checked in, our room was clean but so dated it felt unclean.  On the plus side you can leave you car here for a cheap rate and it is extremely close to the airport which was the main reason for staying here.

I wouldn't go back

I was quite glad to find this place at a reasonable price and so close to Gatwick while on a stopover, so I booked it and was quite disappointed with the service, or lack thereof. 
My flight arrived a bit late (9pm) so I called them  as soon as I landed and the woman, who sounded 100 years old said that it was not her problem and refused to let me stay there because it was late and she was going to bed.
She also said there was a problem with my card, maybe because I don't have a card from the UK and I insisted that I would straighten it up when I arrive but she again provided me with a rude answer and said I would have to find somewhere else to stay.
These people are in the wrong business, there are plenty of other places around besides this one so you are better off trying one of those.

Avoid if possible

I stayed there by my own on February. Arrived quite late at night, but the owner has been very nice and friendly, so no problem about being late. Easy to reach either by bus or by cab (around 10 £). Property looks "oldish" but is no surprise as you can get it from the pictures. Room was quite small, with television, bedside cabinet, small desk, wardrobe and small sink on the side. Heating system was ok. Toilet is shared with the other guests, but facilities are ok. Overall staying for a night is ok, breakfast consist of a packet of cookies, tea and coffees which you do your own with the kettle, they are in the room. For sure not for you if you are looking for the glamorous side of travelling, but defo ok for a quick night stay.

One night stay

Great location for the airport with the local bus to Gatwick running every 20 mins past the front door (£2 and takes 10 minutes) and very reasonable overnight price. The "continental breakfast" was a few things in packets in the room-not really worth calling a breakfast, but I skip breakfast anyway so didnt care.

Very good value

I booked through booking.com who told me whilst I was in Egypt that my card had expired and needed to pay. My friend called the number on their website 8 times over 2 days with no answer. I sent 4 emails to the email address on their website with no reply. Once I landed I called them myself at 21:37 (their website states they check in until 22:00) after the 3rd attempt they answered. The guy sounded at least 150 years old. I told him I needed to pay for my room and I will be there in 10 minutes. He said "well how are you going to pay?" I said by card. He said "well no". I said OK by cash. He said "well how are you going to do that? I'm going to bed now". I said OK, you tell me how you want me to pay and I will. He said "well it will have to be by card then won't it!!" I gave my card details and he gave me instructions on how to find my room which were spot on. Then me being polite said thank you, I will be 10 minutes, see you soon. He said "no you won't!" then hung up! I appreciate everything he did for us in World War 1 but this guy is in the wrong business. I never did see him, he was asleep when I arrived 10 minutes later and when I left at 7am. He won't respond to emails and doesn't answer the phone so hopefully he will get to see this. All this information and evidence has been sent to booking.com. There are so many other Guesthouses in this area. Please avoid this one.
