The room was very dark and cluttered I didn’t feel comfortable as i was frightened of breaking something. I was served cold tea and a rock hard scone, So disappointing as I’d travelled a long way.

 I found it very awkward getting in and out the bath as there was no disabled hand rail!! The Water was far too hot and if you wasn’t careful you could leave with a nasty burn!!

There was the Faint smell of wet dogs and lingering damp!! The place was dog friendly and i could tell by the stains on the carpets. 

The bed was incredibly squeaky!! every time I got out of bed it was like walking on sandpaper. The carpets were incredibly uncomfortable!! 

The couple opposite were taking part in some late night bedroom aerobics!! I was kept awake all night long with the moaning, groaning and occasional scream!! The gentleman should try out for the Olympics!! 

The owner came across very fake and patronising. She clearly had delusions of grandeur and thought she was running some kind of Manorhouse rather than an average B&B in sunny hunny

Lady of the Manor she was not!! 

The Breakfast was very overcooked and cold. 

The on street parking was non-existent there was cars everywhere!! I had to park my disabled car two streets away and walk in the pouring rain back to the house. 

The next day I had a parking ticket!! There is no mention of having to buy a ticket on the B&Bs website.

The pictures certainly do this place justice!! I was very disappointed and won’t be returning.

I would advise others to think twice before staying here. We had a similar experience... we over heard the owner being unkind about other residents.

Unnecessary Shameful behaviour!!

Shame on you!!!

Surprised my wife with a weekend away in Hunstanton as it’s always been close to our hearts, I found this B&B online And thought we’d give it a go, arrived on the Saturday and everything seemed wonderful The host was friendly and accommodating.  Marion (owner) showed us to our room and we started to unpack and relax, we were looking for a place to eat that evening so I thought I’d pop down to ask Marion if she can recommend somewhere nice, that’s when I overheard Her and another elderly lady mocking and making fun of my wife, myself and my wife are heavy-metal enthusiasts and crazy about motorbikes, my wife is also a tattoo artist, so as you can imagine we’re not your average looking couple, but two elderly ladies Both cackling and passing judgement on my wife is Utterly disgraceful behaviour. two senior citizen should know better. Both of which are no oil paintings themselves. 

This really spoil our weekend and we be returning.

An average run-of-the-mill seaside B&B!!  A little tired and gloomy very cluttered and fussy!! Trying to be something it’s not. You could hear the owner bossing her poor Husband around!! We felt really sorry for him. We wouldn’t return.

Having read the reviews I was keen to visit this B&B. On arrival the hostess a very frumpy lady Opened the door flustered and red-faced. The afternoon tea was lacking. The scones were hard and the tea was warm. I was so disappointed as I travelled up from London that morning. 

A matron like woman led me to my room. The room had the faint smell of wet dog and lingering damp. The room was dark and dingy. The carpet was very uncomfortable and the room very cluttered. I didn’t feel at ease. I was frightened of breaking something. It felt more like an out of date museum then a b&b. The pictures certainly did the place justice on closer inspection The decor was most likely from local charity and tat shops. 

I stayed here for one night. The bed squeaked every time you turned. I got out of bed and it was like walking on sandpaper. The paintwork in the bedroom could do with a touchup. On closer inspection the cleanliness was somewhat lacking. Cobwebs and dusty furniture. 

This B&B was dog friendly and I could tell from the stains on the carpet lots of dogs have stayed here. The bath was very low and difficult to get outdo. The water was far too hot and if you wasn’t careful you could leave with a nasty burn. The breakfast looked a lot better in the pictures then in person. A little greasy and overcooked. I asked for something that was not on the menu and I could tell the hostess wasn’t happy. She was friendly but came across fake and patronising. The hostess clearly thought she was Lady of the Manor and had Delusions of grandeur. When in fact all she has is an average B&B in Sunny hunny. 

The website said outside parking yet I had to park my car two streets away and walk in the pouring rain.

The pictures and website certainly do wonders for this place. When in reality it’s tired and lacking money. 

It’s 2021!!!!

Very disappointing visit

The place is amazing; exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated with a very traditional French feel.

Nothing was too much trouble, from the lovely chocolates in the room, to our own breakfast room so we could bring the dog down with us.

Amazing

This is the best B & B we have ever been in. Homely, welcoming, warm, cosy and lovely comfortable bed. Breakfast most enjoyable and nothings too much trouble. Marian greeted us on arrival and we felt comfortable immediately. Beautiful property and extremely clean. We have booked for November and looking forward to coming back. We had the Rose Room beautiful. Thank you Marian. X

Fabulous

As soon as we arrived we had such a warm welcome fro Marian we instantly felt at home. Beautiful tasteful room spotless and everything we could need. Breakfast in morning delicious all freshly cooked nothing was too much trouble. Thoroughly recommend such an enjoyable stay thank you

Lovely place to stay

Troon cottage is one of the best B and Bs I have ever stayed in. The hospitality of the owners is first rate, the rooms are beautiful, and quiet and the breakfast really good. We had proper coffee and a cafeteria, teapot, fresh milk, gluten free biscuits and chocolates in the room, the bed has high quality linen and is really comfy. 
I would return in a heartbeat.

Oustanding

My husband and I stayed here for only one night. We were met with a very warm welcome by Marian. The decor is stunningly beautiful and very homely. When shown to our room which was outstanding we were offered a cream tea with home made scones that melted in your mouth. The freshly baked biscuits and chocolates in our room were delicious. 
The bed and pillows were so comfortable and we had the best night's sleep.
Breakfast was fresh, plentyful and of high quality with the best tasting fresh coffee.
We would highly recommend staying here without a doubt. 
Great stay & can't wait to return.
