We arrived at Cori Guesthouse to find no doorbell ( it appeared to have been ripped out. After knocking the door was opened and we were shown to our room. We had reserved and paid for the deluxe king-size room. We'll it had a king-size bed but that is where any idea of luxury ended. The shower head  was dirty. The duvet on the bed was very thin and totally inadequate for the time of year. The bedding was thin cheap quality and was a double duvet on a kingsize bed and although the room appeared fairly clean it certainly was not very inviting. The WiFi would not connect .
At this point my husband went to ask for a blanket as the room was very cold. 
It was then that we found no-one in the house to give any help or assistance.
Whilst looking for anyone to help my husband ventured into the kitchen. It was filthy with dirty dishes lying around and a mouse trap on the floor ( l have photos to prove this).  The smoke alarm in the hall was just a lot of hanging wires ( again photo as proof) and there was junk and dirty rubbish in alcoves. 
There was no breakfast but after seeing the state of the filthy kitchen nothing would have possessed me to eat there  and after a cold sleepless night  we could not wait to get out  as early as possible the following morning.
How this place has not been closed by environmental health l do not know!

Absolutely disgusting place

Booked this hotel through Booking.Com after seeing the great reviews. What a shame i wasnt more thorough in my research to see that this hotel has just been taken over by someone else who is providing the complete opposite of the previous wonderful hosts.

We requested an early check in (only 1pm)  and were told rudely that this wasnt going to happen - not a problem, just at least pretend to have some customer service skills). So we waited the 3 hours until the check in time of 4pm which seems extremely late anyway.

After killing time we headed to the door and knocked. No answer. Knocked again. No answer. Freezing cold and 20 baffled minutes later we were still out there. Light on inside but no one answering.

Tried ringing the hotel and contact number 15 times!!!!! Calls ignored and declined EVERY time! We ended up having to quickly ring round other hotels to see if we could be fitted in anywhere. Thankfully we found a much nicer hotel not far away who immediately accepted us and we had a lovely time.

No apology or email or explanation for not being able to fulfil our booking. Absolutely furious! Still chasing him for a refund and all contact ignored.

Absolutely SHOCKING - owner should be ashamed of himself.

NEW OWNERS!TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! AVOID AVOID AVOID!

There are plenty of reputable B & B’s in Hunstanton where you can have a lovely stay & not be ripped off. 

We made our mistake due to having previously stayed at Cori House on many occasions when when the previous owners were there and didn’t realise that the owners had changed when we tried to book a 2 night stay this weekend.  When we initially tried to book with booking.com the booking didn’t seem to fully complete. We didn’t receive any confirmation from booking.com (as we usually would) but to be on the save side we actually went to Cori House the following week to check that we did not have a booking.  Although the B & B wasn’t open, (as they were refurbishing) the new owners were leaving the property as we arrived so we asked them to check if they had received the booking. They confirmed they hadn’t and we then booked somewhere else instead. However tonight whilst traveling to Hunstanton I noticed that a bank payment had been made to Cori House. I spent most of the journey trying to get in touch with them by phone but was unable so we went Cori House to speak to them. There was no one at Cori House when we arrived and 30 mins later a couple arrived who were staying there & they let us in. Apart from the couple there was no one in the B & B. Myself and the other couple tried to call the emergency number provided and we eventually spoke to the owner who said that he would come to the property. We waited for ages and was just about to leave when a lady arrived. We explained what had happened and she said that she remembered us from when we spoke outside the property and they had confirmed that we did not have a booking. The lady & other couple also told us that the B & B no longer do breakfasts anymore, despite us being charged for breakfast.  The lady then phoned the man whilst we were there and although he also remembered us checking that we did not have a booking, he refused to refund our money. Since we had another booking somewhere else we left and contacted booking.com to explain what had happened.  Booking.com informed that they would request a refund from Cori House but this was rejected as the owner claims that we were given a key to a room, (which we categorically were not) and that we apparently requested to be relocated to another room, and we left because he didn’t have another room which  is utter lies. We never saw any rooms!! 

So to summarise my very long rant, please don’t waste your money by booking a stay at Cori House B & B in Hunstanton because despite the mix up with the booking, no one will be there when you arrive to let you in & there is no breakfast, although you will be charged for it

Please, please don’t be conned by these people

I was due to stay at Cori House in August 2021, during the Hunstanton Tennis Tournament. Initially I'd booked via AirBnB, but the owner cancelled the booking and contacted me to ask me to book direct as AirBnB had just raised their commission rates. I rebooked and was told that I could cancel up to the date of my arrival.
Unfortunately, the tennis tournament was cancelled in June, so I immediately contacted Cori to inform them, and to request a refund. Several weeks later I contacted them again, having received no reply. This time, I was told that the refund would be processed that week, but still nothing happened. Itried again, and eventually asked my bank to refund (as I'd paid by credit card). I was then contacted by Cori House, who asked for the details of my payment so they could process the refund. I supplied the details, and guess what... Nothing! I tried again, and was once more asked for my payment details, which I again supplied. I have heard nothing more since!!!

Maybe I shouldn't give up, but I feel as though I need to mark it down to experience and get on with my life; once I've warned others about the experience, that is!

Never did get a refund!

Large room  with a king size bed, with an outside patio Area, everything you needed on hand  ,and beautiful  full English breakfast to another day on the beach ,  what more do you need x would recommend anyone to stay there as  it’s  is situated behind the main town . I would also recommend  The curry house which is just off the Main Street .

Home and comfort by the sea

We stayed for one night passing through Hunstantan while touring the Norfolk coast. Wasn't too easy to park the car near the guest house but eventually we were allowed to park on the forecourt. The buzzer to get in didn't work but when we finally did get in we had a lovely greeting. Room was clean and spacious - huge bed and really comfortable.  There were biscuits in the room - good! No hairdryer so a replacement was found. No bathmat!
Loads of plug sockets and decent shower. But... wifi terrible. Couldn't get a connection and problem wasn't solved until the morning - ridiculously complicated password and not the bt connection we had been told. wifi is a basic thing these days and for £94 a night you shouldn't have problems. 
Breakfast was really good and hosts lovely. All felt covid secure. Well located for town and restaurants. Try Chives Restaurant - really good. So it should be 5 star but it is those extra touches that are needed.

Welcoming and comfortable

What a lovely bad and breakfast. We stayed in number 5 which is on the back of the actual house in an enclosed courtyard. It’s all wheelchair accessible with a walk in shower too. The room was clean and spacious. The owners were really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
The breakfast was delicious the bacon was really good quality. 
Everywhere was COVID safe tables at 2m spacing and a booking system so never too many people at one time.
Really central for Hunstanton a quick cut through to the shops by The Conservative club but everything in walking distance.
Parking was a little tight in the daytime but when the local shops had shut you could park easily

Lovely Guest house

Well presented room with nice shower and shower cream etc. Very good large towels . selection of tea and coffee. Due to covid breakfast selection is restricted but full breakfast offered with timed booking slots to eat for good social distancing.
Well done but not very friendly


Great position poor parking

Had one of the chalets, very clean and comfortable.  Issues with WiFi which took over a day to sort but accept had only recently reopened due to lock down.  No shampoo in dispenser in bathroom, no sanitary bags in receptacle.  Confirmation email stated no breakfast although others staying did get it!  Would still recommend as staff did their best and location is good.

Good but not quite as advertised

Nice and comfortable place to stay for a night away in Hunstanton. Handy tea making facilities with fresh milk and hot chocolate, coffee or tea on offer. Comfy bed and reasonable check out time. 

Close to everything you need.
