I am the freeholder of The Elephant and Castle B&B and wanted to clarify who is responsible for the fraudulent activities.
The Romanian couple who took the lease from me was the one doing all the criminal activities and myself is their victim too.

Police is investigating this matter and please do below if you are the victim
1) call police on 101 Cambridgeshire. I  have the case number, so please contact me  and give it to police when you call, so that they can connect all the case in to one.
2) cancel the card
3) contact your bank

Message from the freeholder of Elephant and Castle

Booked through Booking.Com. Visited 4/5th December 2019 for work. Cost £100.04. Stayed in chalet, no gas or electric. It was dirty and the front door did not lock. The hotel had no heating or food or draught beer. We bought 4 bottles of beer and had to use card machine as they had no change, we now know it was a Sumup portable card reader. 
On 12th March I checked my statements and realised further payments had been taken out without my knowledge or authorisation.  Apart from the £10.00 for Beer and £100.04 for stay another payment of £104.90 went out on January the 6th and then another payment of £100.04 on 7th March. 
I phoned the hotel and the owner said a member of staff had been stealing, they said they had reported her to the police but she had ‘already done a runner’. This does not explain the £100.04 payment the hotel took on 7th March, apparently after she had left. 
I am now having to go through process of contacting credit card co. fraud dept., and police as the owners are taking no responsibility. Also, the original hotel payment showed on statement as paid to Dukes Head Wisbech even though it was the Elephant and Castle, Huntingdon.  
December 5th £100.04  +  January 6th £104.90  +  March 7th £100.04  =  £304.98

Terrible experience. fraudulent credit card charges

Before arrival phoned to check what time to book in was told place was closed informed I had paid for room booked reply no bookings would have to pay again

Booked 4 day stay and paid in advance

Stayed here in June, stay was unremarkable. 

Unfortunately, I found that I was re-charged an additional $330 for my stay in December --almost five months after my stay. Contacted the hotel immediately and was told it was an accident and that they were fixing it. One month later and no contact from the hotel and the charges still remain. 

Would not recommend anyone stay or eat here.

BEWARE: Fraudulent Hotel Charges on Credit Card after staying here

Arrived to find the pub was closed, when showed through the bar it was tired looking and the place was not as advertised. We made a decision not to stay, we were told we would get a full refund but as yet no refund has been received. The whole place looked run down and unclean nothing like the pictures.

I was in a four-bedroom, nice and clean single room, just in the shower room, a toilet was closed cause unavailable, no noise at night in the corridors so very pleasant beds tres correct, the lounge is tres pleasant staff too, the outdoor terrace is nice and quiet.

We booked though booking.com, where it looked like an inn, rooms above a pub. Turned up to find chalets, and that we weren't allowed to drink or eat in the pub because there was a private party. Apparently "booking.com didn't upload the details in time" - and apparently the photos on there not being up to date is booking.com's fault too. I'm not sure who would be blamed for the key lock being fitted upside down, the peeling paint, the holes in doors, grotty walls and light fittings, unclean floor, bodged light pull, unfitted piece of carpet, dirty fridge, dirty toaster, mouldy teabags or the several dead spiders and collection of dust. Apparently the gas supply had been cut off - that wasn't their fault either, so no hot meals, which having seen the standard of housekeeping was just as well. Be smarter than I was, check trip advisor before you book!!

AWFUL GROTTY DIRTY NOT AS ADVERTISED

Recently started using this pub for a drink. Travelling home from day out with wife decided to try the food on spec. No problem with a table around 6-30pm.Staff helpful and offered choice of table. Eating area is small but clean and comfortable. Choice of food was fairly standard for a village pub but was all freshly cooked which was a change. Well presented and not long to wait .Meal did not outface you with its size but was just right for my wife and I. Sweets were excellent and overall cost including drinks was very reasonable. I would have liked more choice of ale but what was available was ok. Would be happy to go again.

I have stayed there several times now and the food has been excellent and great value for money the chef will cook it to your liking 
The staff are friendly and go out of their way to make your visit memorable 
This is a place I will visit as often as possible

Food

Located in a quiet area away from environmental pollution this is a place that has the warmth and quietness you expect to get away from all activities. 
The rooms are nice and cozy with a very friendly management who showed sincere interest in the guests comfortability, promptly responded to my concerns during my stay in room 2.  Clean bathroom👍. Healthy foods. 
I am definitely staying there again and again.
