Wonderful B&B.  Beautiful furnishings, traditional comfort and warm welcome.  Barmoors is in an isolated position on the edge of the North York Moors but only a 7 minute walk across fields to the pub in the village (Hetton-le-Hole) which does a good supper.

The hostess is lovely, she made tea and cakes and breakfasts with every option possible! The rooms were really quaint, lots of antique style furniture, curtains/floor coverings and pictures. Books in every nook and cranny!! Our bathroom (along the corridor) had a bath which had views thru the window of the surrounding gardens, really lovely. There was also a shower. I would recommend for a short break. And the dogs were so well behaved too! 

Barmoors b&b is a must do! 

A lovely peaceful and friendly location on the moors, wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
Spacious rooms that are very comfy, lovely window seats to look over the moors. Greeted with tea and cake on arrival and a breakfast to die for.

Dogs were lovely also.

The breakfast each morning was incredible and nothing was too much trouble to get like honey from the local village.
Whilst the weather could have been better for the time if year there is plenty of attractions within Yorkshire for you to do from the North Yorkshire Moor Railway going from Pickering to the seaside resort of Whitby, Eden Camp, North Yorkshire Air Museum and the National Birds of Prey Centre.
This is the second time we have stayed with Alice and will be doing so again, keep up the excellent work.

Excellent place to stay

A welcoming, warm and hospitable B&B in tranquil surroundings - Everything  about it is spacious and generous.

With a cream tea welcome, Alice's exceptional hospitality began as it was to continue throughout our three-day sojourn. Breakfasts were fantastic.  Parking is ample, safe and included.

With only two rooms and no TVs Barmoors attracts visitors who welcome tranquility  and reading - it was perfect for us. Excellent internet connection, too.

Our only note of caution is that the wonderfully oversized  bed was rather firm.

Barmoors is on our list of favourite places.

Simply wonderful

Beautiful Georgian house in a fabulous location in the North York’s Moors National Park.  Lovely bedroom and bathroom with a massive comfy bed and fluffy quilt and pillows for a first class night’s sleep.  Fabulous breakfast with proper coffee!  Alice is the perfect host - friendly and efficient with nothing too much trouble - thank you!

Wonderful and relaxed stay

Alice only has two rooms, and the bathrooms are not shared with anyone else. Up the corridor a little. Best for couples. The breakfasts stand out as generous and memorable. And the views from the property are excellent.

A wonderful B & B

Absolutely loved it here. Alice is wonderful and from fresh flowers in our room on arrival, afternoon tea in her beautiful garden and home made bread and marmalade for breakfast in a blissfully quiet location it was an idyllic break.

Perfect

Barmoors is stunning,  period decoration with endless charm and character.  Alice, the host is wonderful,  she was so obliging,  as soon as we arrived there was tea and cakes.  Breakfast were cooked freshly to order.  Homemade,  bread,  jams and marmalade.  One day we even returned to homemade blackcurrant  ice cream. The three dogs, dart,  Muscat,  and Stanley were adorable.  I cannot say enough about our experience.  It was true escapism.  We shall be returning later in the year and many more times after that.

Seventh heaven

Very disappointed after looking forward to a Yorkshire break away. On arrival the host was sharp although payment had already been taken you would expect a warmer arrival from any business. In the property description it states each room has its own 'private bathroom' however it does not explain this is NOT ensuite. Leaving you to walk from the room across a landing and into another part of the property. No tea or coffee facilities in the room with no wardrobe just a cane hanging over the fireplace. Save disappointment and visit THE CORNMILL,Kirbymoorside.
