Paula and Adam are superb hosts, warm friendly and welcoming. Great knowledge of local area and they provided information on local walks and places to eat. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean throughout. Lovely comfortable cosy room (room 4). Breakfast was amazing, lots of choice and cooked to order. Tea, coffee and biscuits in the room, great to have after a long coastal walk. I liked the soap and shower gel provided, high quality and delighted I could purchase some to take home. Excellent location for exploring Ilfracombe. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again. 

Bank holiday weekend

Adam and Paula were perfect hosts. The room was perfect and bed comfy. The breakfast was tailored to whatever you wanted. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We sat on the sofa outside overlooking Ilfracombe and wow what a view. Adam told us lots of places to visit and interesting facts about them. Will definitely go again. Great

What a wonderful three nights we spent at this family hotel
From arriving and Adan carrying Mrs G case upstairs 
Nothing was to much trouble
Lovely clean spacious room on the top floor 
Big BIG bed and so comfy and pillows that we should of nicked lol (jocking but we will next time ) 
Breakfast was a delight greeted with good morning offered two choices of fruit juice
Asked as to tea or coffee and would we like toast
Breakfast choice was excellent with three choices of how you want your egg cooked 
Food served on hot plates freshly cooked 
We had a short but sweet stay visiting family 
We will highly recommend this hotel

We stayed here for 2 nights this weekend as we had a wedding at Sandy Cove Hotel a short drive away. As soon as we arrived Paula made us feel so welcome, it immediately felt like a home away from home. We stayed in room #8 which was simply beautiful, the bed was massive, room very clean and fresh and fully stocked with tea, coffee, biscuits and a kettle. Each room has a small ironing board/iron and hairdryer. Breakfast the following morning is equally as good, a cooked breakfast and fresh tea, coffee and juice as well as toast stacks and all the trimmings included in the booking price. Adam wasn’t there when we checked in however he made the effort to introduce himself the following morning and he is just as lovely as Paula. They make an excellent team and they also genuinely really do care about your stay and what you’re up to. I will absolutely be returning for a weekend away… or hopefully longer next time! I didn’t want to come home, thanks for a wonderful stay.

Weekend away for a wedding

Made to feel really welcomed by Adam and his puppy Brisket (Paula was away) 
Really clean and comfortable bed plus lovely breakfast served by Issy who was so polite and made sure we had everything we needed 
Really enjoyed sitting outside in the evening enjoying a drink from the ‘honesty box bar’taking in the fabulous views 



Relaxing friendly stay

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at Norbury House. Paula and Adam are fabulous hosts! The decor, the location, the food, the comfort…it’s all superb..but the best part is the kindness and service from the hosts. We loved our time at Norbury House and Ilfracombe. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else when in North Devon!

Best part of our trip!

Our first time at Norbury House and we found our host Adam running things on his own. The layed back Adam was more than capable, providing a beautiful breakfast, and chatting to guests in a very professional manner. Room 5 was large with a huge bed and TV. Only sorry it was just two days, and we never got to meet Paula, equally as attentive as Adam, we have no doubt...thanks for everything Adam, we both enjoyed our stay.

Long weekend away

, The hotel is a lovely Victorian building , with quirky decor .. with great views down to the sea ..the breakfast was great …cooked to order. We had room five at the front of the building ..great decor .
Adam was a very helpful and welcoming host , always gave advice and asked about your day. One night we got a taxi  to a restaurant ( the rock inn) ..and couldn’t get a taxi back , I phoned Adam for another taxi company , and he kindly said  he would pick us up … which was very good of him.
All round  great experience.

Just returned from a wonderful three night stay at Norbury House. We had room four which although doesn't have views of the town or the bay, is nestled at the back and is mostly shaded which meant the room stayed naturally quite cool the whole time. Considering whilst we were there it was very hot, this proved a huge bonus as it meant we had an excellent nights sleep the whole trip! 
Adam and Paula are wonderful hosts, very engaging and helpful with their knowledge of the local area. Breakfast was superb each day and there is even a small fridge stocked with some cold drinks working on an honesty system for guests to use - wonderful for enjoying the views out the front of a late Summers afternoon or evening. Will definitely consider staying again when we return in the future!
