We stayed in Brook House and our friend stayed in the Glass House and both of them were fantastic - with great views of the sea.  Could not fault anything at all with our stay - would highly recommend a stay here - no matter what time of year.  Looking forward to going back

Brilliant place to stay!

Stayed at the Laston in one of the self catering flats called the Coach house. Very impressed. Sea views , 10 mins walk to the quayside, 2 mins to the Thatched Inn.
The property was fitted out to a very high standard with everything you would need for a self contained stay…utility room with wash and drying,, well equipped kitchen and comfy beds.
Definitely recommend for a family of up to six people. Top location.

Coach house self catering. A quality stay.

When booking the ferry for a visit to Lundy, Laston House is one of the hotel / B&Bs that are suggested.
With the jetty an easy 15 minute walk away and the opportunity to leave the car during your trip to the island, Laston House is a very convenient choice.
Service is friendly and the rooms are spacious and comfortable.  The building itself is stylish and characterful.
The one aspect that stops it earning five stars is that breakfast isn't served until 8.15am, which doesn't rest well with the ferry company's request that you arrive at the jetty to check in luggage at 9.00.
But otherwise, there's nothing to fault!

Booked for a visit to Lundy

Laston house is  a real gem, and a real asset to Ilfracombe. We hired out Laston house for our wedding weekend. Abi has been so helpful throughout the booking process and so accommodating. The house is truly beautiful, the wonderful staircase and big bay windows allowing so much natural light made for the perfect photos. The house was immaculate and all rooms were so comfortable. The location could not be more perfect, with sea views and a local pub within walking distance. We are so glad that our wedding venue messed up our original booking meaning we had to seek out alternative accommodation because Laston house was so very perfect. We will be returning for years to come. 


The most perfect weekend

Such a wonderful stay! Our room (room 6) was stunning, Sympathetically decorated and furnished,  so it was in keeping with the era of the house, but with a modern twist. The huge bed was possibly the most comfy bed we have ever slept in. 
We received a very warm welcome including explaining the easiest way to reach the harbour (which is actually not too bad a walk - albeit a little steep in places) 
Breakfast was very tasty, with good quality local ingredients.
Very much recommend a stay here as it extremely good value for money

We stayed at Laston House for three nights, for a long weekend getaway. We had a lovely stay, the hotel was well placed to access the harbour, lots of lovely walks and only a short walk from the town.

Our room was great, had everything we needed and was comfortable and clean.

As a celiac and having a milk allergy, confidence in allergens when eating away from home is crucial and it was instantly clear that there is a good understanding of both the food requirements and cross contamination risks, the breakfast for both of us was really good

itely return here in the future



Great, Well Run Place To Stay

Beautiful house in beautiful surroundings. Great spacious bedroom with a super comfy bed. Everywhere very clean. Breakfast offers plenty of choice, their full English is extremely tasty served with locally sourced ingredients.
Highly recommend Laston House and would definately stay again.

Excellent place to stay

We hired out this property for Christmas and we fell in love. Abi was fantastic, so relaxed and accommodating. The house was perfect for all our needs, allowed pets and had the perfect downstairs room for our disabled family member who managed to negotiate the ground floor in an electric wheelchair no problem. This was amazing value for money compared to some other rentals I got quotes from considering the size and beauty of this property. Abi decorated the house beautifully for Christmas and we had everything we needed to accommodate a large family, including a large dining area. Could not recommend this more especially for Christmas.

Christmas holiday let

A lovely stay in this comfortable, clean and friendly bed and breakfast. Stunning sea view from a very spacious room in this beautiful grade 2 listed house. Conveniently situated, just a short walk to the harbour and the town.
Good breakfast although, would have appreciated some fruit as I'm not a full English fan. Friendly, helpful hosts without being in your face.
Self catering accommodation also available.
Would definitely recommend.

Room with a view

Just a short walk from the town centre which can be accessed via the harbour so is a pleasant walk. On site free parking a real bonus. The room was spacious and clean, bed comfortable, quiet at night and a nice breakfast served in the morning. There is some outside seating in the garden which catches the sun. A good choice if visiting Ilfracombe.  Access is sign posted and easier from  New Barnstaple Road.
