Great little no fuss accommodation at a very reasonable rate.
Room was clean warm and comfortable. It’s in a very convenient and easy to find location. I’ve stayed here before and have found the staff very friendly and helpful. On both occasions I’ve had to leave early in the morning before breakfast is served so they provided me with a packed lunch instead which was very good quality and tasty.

Great little place

Food is delicious sunday lunch perfect enjoyed it so much we went back the following Sunday.being local this would be in my opinion were i would choose to go for a meal quality food and reasonably priced would highly recommend 

Fantastic 

This was my first visit to the Shandwick Inn for some time and it was a most enjoyable experience.

Service was quick and friendly and all covid regulations were strictly adhered to.

The menu was one of the best I have seen with a great variety of dishes to suit every possible taste and prices were reasonable. 

Portions were large and out party of six thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Highly recommended 



Superb Sunday Lunch

The Shandwick serves delicious food, good portions for a reasonable price. We can go here with friends or just because we are treating ourself. 

Shandwick mushrooms are AMAZING!!!

Fantastic food

Wonderful pub in a beautiful setting. Asked for on suite bathroom and so were given our own little cottage seperate from the Inn, everything we wanted from a stay very clean well stocked and great food in the Inn would definitely stay again 👍👍👍

Wonderfull stay

rooms were good size and comfortable, Pub meal in the evening was good quality with varied menu choice and larger portion size than normal. service was good. no problem for our group of 6. it was busy with locals eating which is always a good sign especially as its a few miles out of town.   

continental style breakfast delivered to your door,  no idea if this was due to Covid or not but wasn't a problem.

overnight stay during cycle trip

Nice stay at this hotel which was off the beaten track but luckily a pub so we could get evening meal and breakfast was delivered to our door and was a cereal, croissants yoghurts and fruit type of option.  Bed was comfortable and evening meal was good but service was quite slow and orders were forgotten.

Average stay

A fantastic lunch for four, the food was fabulous and huge portions. Must say the place lacks atmosphere, but nowhere is that great in the present situation but it is boring inside. Main thing is if it’s great food you want, this is the place.


Fabulous food

For the price it was great good location and we were only 2 rooms booked in which I am glad about, as not going to lie bit too small and close for comfort with strangers. Staff lovely food delicious portions are huge lesson learnt could not breath after!! Few niggles which could be easily fixed. No mirrors in rooms pinched the one off wall in corridor. Iron has been burnt as has board these need replacing as will mark someone’s clothes and shower is dangerous either boiling hot or freezing no happy medium.

Did the trick

We stayed here over night to break our trip. It’s location was ideal for us. The food in the restaurant was excellent and fairly priced. The rooms were clean and comfortable which was exactly what we needed. Breakfast was continental style left in the kitchen for us to help ourselves and was more than adequate. What detracted from the experience was the shared bathroom which required some negotiation was all the rooms were full.
