A welcome place to stay for walkers as the hosts fully understand the needs of walkers - hot showers, somewhere to dry one's kit and a good night's rest. We had a long day with a difficult final moorland section - our hosts aware of this made contact to ensure we were OK and were very considerate of our late arrival. They do not provide an evening meal but offered either a lift to a pub or suggested ordering a take-away - we chose the latter which was excellent. After breakfast the next day Cedric pointed out some of the highlights of our route. Thank you.

Overnight walking Mary Queen of Scots Way

The welcome from Cedric and Heather, put us both at ease as soon as we arrived. Our room was very nice and comfortable. We were welcomed into the living room with fresh tea and biscuits. We had a great breakfast choice each morning, from fresh fruit and yoghurts to a hearty freshly cooked scottish breakfast. 
        During our stay Cedric and Heather gave us plenty of recommendations on restaurants and places to visit. Woodlands b&b is certainly a home from home.

A home from home

Clean comfortable rooms and fantastic choice at breakfast. Bedrooms in seperate guset wing of the house, excellent value for money and would definately recommend. Lovely friendly hosts. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

Really nice b and b

What a warm welcome we received from Cedric and Heather on arrival at their B&B, they gifted us with a wee dram and chocolates. It is a cosy bungalow, in its own grounds complete with a number of free range chickens, there is plenty of car parking. Your lockable room is well laid out and tastefully decorated, next to your room is a communal lounge with a pine ceiling that gives the effect of a wooden lodge, the lounge has a tv, video, tea and coffee facilities and a wood burning stove (it's in this room where you have your breakfast). Being local, both Heather and Cedric are very knowledgable about local and national places to visit and their advice is well worth taking note of, they gave us some great ideas on places to see and visit. When it comes to breakfast you have a selection of choices, all of it is really tasty (recommend the bacon). There is no where to eat in Glenfarg but there are villages nearby with pubs etc. We ate in The Muirs in Kinross which was very pleasant and is only a few minutes drive away.

Hospitality at its best

Situated beside a quietly babbling brook surrounded by a pleasant mature garden, this accommodation and the hosts exhume warmth, a friendly and relaxed atmosphere without being intrusive.  The breakfasts consisted of fresh fruit and cereals plus a magnificent traditional cooked breakfast (I was  most impressed by the lovely poached eggs).  The chirpy suppliers of the eggs happily clucked past the dining room window. A lovely rural retreat whilst nestling on the edge of Glenfarg village and ideally situated for expeditions into the rest of Perthshire..

Comfortable and cosy

What a find this place was. We are travelling with our 4 month old daughter and as soon as we arrived we were made to feel at home. Super friendly couple. Lovely setting. Great breakfast. Really comfortable room and lounge. Would stay here again for sure.
