Riverbank is a good location in a fairly quiet street. It's an easy walk into the city centre, the old town, the Caledonian Canal, Inverness castle and the Ness Islands which are well worth a visit.
Our room was charming in an old fashioned way. It was clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our two-night stay. It was really nice to have enough milk portions in the room for tea and coffee. (So annoying when hotels don't supply enough)
Nice hot shower, big fluffy towels and a powerful hairdryer.
My bed was a bit worn out but not too bad and I slept well.
Contactless check in was really easy and communication with the owner very good by phone and email.
We found some excellent restaurants and pubs nearby. Parking behind the building is convenient.

good value and good location

Was booked into this B&B before I saw the previous reviews,  so went with some trepidation. Pleasantly surprised, clean, compact room, comfortable bed, which to me is very important & a really powerful shower. As you don't get breakfast was nice to see the goody box, water, juice, crisps, pastry & fruit as well as a well stocked coffee & tea. Nice quite road. 10 minute walk to the centre of Inverness via the river Ness & over the bouncy bridge. Would quite happily stay there again

Buisness trip.

The guesthouse is lovingly furnished, but is getting on in years. One notices that the operators mean well with the guests. The beds are quite well laid out and the bathrooms in the rooms, just like the rooms themselves, are very small and old. 
Nevertheless, you get what you book and the loving nature of the hosts makes up for a lot. The inn is ok for one night in Inverness. 

„Bed & Breakfast style“ in good location

Despite some advertisements this is room only with no physical contact with another human being. You have to phone a given number when near to the house and are told where o find the key to the front door and your allocated room. This was small and although clean in need of refurbishment. The bed was not comfortable and there was considerable light pollution all through the night. The cost of £80 was extortionate considering the minimal facilities and services offered. It was not on the riverbank but was within easy walking distance. The view was of a car park.

NOT a B & B

I'm not that picky. I reserve my 1* reviews for somewhere dilapidated, crawling with bugs, and unlivable. I've stayed in many hostels across Europe. While I can imagine worse places to stay, I wouldn't stay here again. We booked all the rooms in the Riverbank Hotel for our stay. When we arrived, we had no way to get in. There was a note on the door saying to call to check in. Which doesn't help tourists with no phone. So we went off to find a restaurant willing to phone for us. When we finally did get in, while grabbing suitcases, one of the doors closed, despite a doorstop, and locked automatically. With the key inside the room. Unable To get ahold of anyone, despite the costs associated with phoning to leave messages from an international phone (no phone found in any of the rooms either, no wifi, and data not working), 2 of us had to leave and find alternate accommodations. Which added a huge expense since it was late at night, we were exhausted, and lacked the energy or time to find any sort of deal. Turns out we we're the winners though.
Those who stayed the night, had a very uncomfortable stay. One of the rooms had no door or curtain on the shower, so water flowed everywhere. Which probably explains why the floor feels like it is rotted and about to collapse. The beds were small and uncomfortable, and the rooms were sweltering hot, with no way to control the temperature.
One of the bathrooms had no soap, or garbage bin. 
There were lightbulbs missing, and cob webs hanging from the ceiling. 
Apparently there were chips, juice and some fruit in the rooms, as well as hair dryers.

It was a frustrating end to a bad day. Everyone complained of a poor sleep, and being unable to check in was so frustrating that I can't recommend a stay here.

Perhaps look elsewhere..

Knocked at the door for 10 minutes, and was not let in.  After 4 hours in a car with kids I was not happy. Had to ring to be let in, poor phone attitude from host.  Got in and into room.  Room lovely.  Terrible service from hist, never met them, no call to see if everything OK.  Will never go back

Terrible service

We arrived here at about 5pm and were met by a note stuck to the door telling me to phone a mobile number. I did and was told my keys were in an envelope in a drawer. I collected them and let myself in. The place is either run down or a work in progress. The rooms are described as en suite. My room is a small single room, and is en suite., but the en suite has no door ! The en suite space entrance is surrounded by unpainted fresh wood. The property is described on line as a hotel and bed and breakfast. The booking I made through booking showed breakfast as included. It is not. This property does not provide breakfast. I am travelling with my elderly mother. All but one room is upstairs. The stair has tapered treads which are difficult to negotiate if your mobility is not great. The property description says free parking is not included. This infers that it is possible to park, but that it needs to be paid for. It is not. The on street parking is permit only, and I was told by phone to park in the nearby medical centre car park, which is OK on a Sunday, but may not be on Monday. While writing this review a large spider ran out from under the bed. When booking accommodation for the trip we are undertaking I tried to book this property for a return visit later in the week. I consider myself fortunate that there was no availability.
